Was exporing in cave for first time, killing the slaves(green) with pet, finaly got near big room in far end and was rooted and pet being killed, before I could heal pet , he was dead, I managed to cast scoourge and envenomed breath on the guard and con him before I was down to less than 2 bubbles, then ran for the door got spirit of cheetah on with second try and made it outside for an easy CR. His mellee didn't hit very hard, had filters on so I don't know what his dots hit for , but must have been alot as I didn't last long, will be back with help for this one.

I'll just say I was surprised. Level 51 druid walking around.. just looking around, killing a slaver here and there. rooted, dotted.. dead. I'm shocked to say the least.

Here's a story for the unwary,

I was on a Faction hunt to get in good with the Gemcutters and I had seen the Minotaur caves on EQ-Atlas and silly me, I did not read all the description. I figure hey, it's a newbie zone (Steamfront) how hard can it be. So I went up to the caves and was offing Slavers left and right thinking hey, this 23rd level Ranger is kicking butt - Then guess who I walk right into, 2 Monotaur Lords along with Meldrath's pet skeleton....Long story made short, this cocky 23rd level Ranger took maybe 2 steps before getting rooted and killed in less then 5 seconds.....OUCH

These things con blue to me at 29, and i have good wisdom which translates in to mana. The only way i can kill one is to snare, dot dot, reun med med med, dot dot , run med med, etc. Now if something is two levels below me, i never have to use this tactic. I would guess around 32.

These monsters spawn in Meldrath's room also, and do hit extremely hard.

Big brutes. Makes the minos from the Gorge look like orc pawns. Early release there was a flaw where these used to be level 35 and Meldrath was only 25ish. They could kill guards with ease. They've been toned down since then.
