where to sell

sell these in freeport to the baking merchant nearest north freeport zone line in west freeport.
she buys them for about 60 pp

That must of been a bug because there is a brewer there not a baker and I went to the brownloe bakery and she would only give me 2p 9g 8s 2c whereas in kelethin they offered me 3p 1g 3s 6c. I'm a wood elf ranger so I guess that's why he offered more. It was an excellent weapon in my early days of playing EQ. I wonder what it would sell for in the bazzar?

What is the name of this merchant? I searched in West Freeport and merchants would only pay around 3pp for the axe.

#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 16 2001 at 5:01 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) sorry man maybe it's just my server, but I would never use this. Even as a noob it was too easy for my first char to get a silvery war axe or a velium battle axe. Silvery 7dmg 26dly magical 1hs, Velium for you noobs 8dmg 28dly hmm velium is same dmg but 9 lower dly. Granted you can get the minatour axe free at around lvl 10 or below prob, but the vel only costs 50pp and the silvery you could get for 25 to 40pp. Let me tell you it's not that hard to get 50pp below lvl 20. So I'm not going to say that the weapon is bad for under 10nth especially considering you can prob get it for free, but after that get a new weap too many much better that are really cheap. Hell you can prob get a velium battle axe for free. Just talk to someone selling it thats' over lvl 40. My first vel was free. Why? Cause they common like FS. But that's just my 2cp's.

I managed to land one of these early with my Warrior. He's now 13 and still uses it in his off hand. Great for beginers.

For lower levels it is a good weapon, however you will soon want to upgrade to one with magical properties (by 10th level at the latest in my humble opinion). Too many critters out there can't be hit without magic weapons.

Bah, this is not true at all. My ranger is level 16, and still uses a non-magical Fine Steel Two-Handed Sword. At 17, when he gets Dual-Wield, he will probably go back to using a minotaur axe in one hand, and some other type of weapon (piercing or 1hb) in his other. The only thing that he has ever faced that requires magic weapons is wisps, and wisps will leave you alone if you leave them alone.

Don't forget about ghouls, though... they're aggressive to everyone and can only be hit by magic weapons.

It's a very good weapon for Rangers too. Since it is 1hs Rangers do this very well.
