I just soloed it today(80 druid / 1k+AA). it came with 2 adds, i rooted them then kill the Hunter.
Guards respawn quickly/instantly

I saw Groppa roaming around my farming area so I thought I would try to take him on. (80 Zerk, Anguish-geared, >1000 AA) When he began to path away, I aggro'd his guards and burned them down in hopes that Groppa would path back single. He didn't. He had 2 fresh guards at his side.

Tried to kill this guy today with 72clerc/72mage/66necro. Wasn't sucesful though. He was definatly lvl 70 though as cleric was able to stun him with her no damage stun (works on mobs up to 70) and he was red to Necro so had to be 70. Our tactic which would have been succesful if we would have tried it for a third time, was this... Set up on the south shore of the Lizard island thingy. Necro wait's for Hunter to path all the way to druid ring. Pull a guard with snare, Hunter and other guard will be hot on your tail. Run them passed group and have someone stun Hunter (cleric no damage stun worked great) Mage sent pet in on Hunter and the fight started. Never seen the first guard since he was pulled with snare, but since necro didn't have much agro on the second guard he came back to the cleric. So what I would have done on our third attempt was to have necro stop just passed group and snare the second guard. This would have either stopped him from going on cleric period, or if he was already on cleric would have pulled him off and back on to Necro. This would have left Mage/Cleric to kill Hunter. Once the guards are snared they run really slow like the rest of the gnolls, I'm almost sure they were sowed from all the shammy's which is why they are so fast to begin with. Anyway Necro ended up running to zone, Cleric popped invulnrability (spelling) or so she thought (got interupted) but was going to run to zone, Mage was able to gate out. 71 Air pet (minion of eternity focused) with Tena and full pet gear (weapons, armor, focus items) had no problem tanking him for the 20-30 seconds or so he was fighting him.

Let me know if someone tries this tactic and whether or not it works, save us another death if it doesn't :)

Just pops hits max 1274 but very fast didnt even have time to FD in time to save myself 11k necro unbuffed dead before I noticed I was being hit christmas alcohol in me 8)

Has two LB con (at 72) Darkfell Gnolls tethered to him that hit for around 750 max. Groppa hits for about 1.2k max, DB con at 72, sees invis, and most definitely summons. :|

Pathed around the gnoll ruins and across the river a little bit just near the druid rings.
