The Serpent's Spine
Is for quest, My Pretty. It is a quest required for an awesome weapon for casters. Did it with my 72 mage, and she looks great with this flaming bolt in her hands, as well as does more damage than what she had prior. A fun quest, but takes some time...which I have plenty of.

Someone told me its more common off of Gruet Longsight. Cannot force him to spawn though. I'm wondering if I'm looking in the wrong spot. I was killing everthing in sight near the NE corner of the zone, close to the Icefall border. More than 12 hours there now... several page drops... no Gruet Longsight.
Am I in the right spot?

Gruet Longshot also drops this item. Just got it from him in the NE corner of the Steppes.
Is it for quest if anyone know?
