When spawned, players see this zonewide message: "As you place the remains of the dragon on the ground, a cold draft fills the air. Suddenly in a great vortex, the bones begin to rise up and move carried by the wind. They jut through the air and come down inside of the nearby theater. You hear the faint sound of bones clanking together, which is then followed by a massive moan. A sharp bolt of fear trickles up your spine as you feel anticipation fill the air."

2 Box'd w/mercs in 2020

Two boxed with lvl 71 Enchanter/Druid with Tank and Healer Mercs, and a lvl 54 Golem charm pet. Cleric went nearly out of mana at about 30% Garudon HP, I had to heal till OOM with the druid. Probably could not have done it without the charm pet's DPS, given the healer mana constraints. It was fun and tense though! Have subs so the characters have max AA's for their lvl.

He has approximately 480k HP (probably less in reality since it took us 10 minutes to kill him).

He's slowable, but I'm pretty sure he mitigates it some. He got off 1088 attacks in 586 seconds, for an indication.

He's a belly caster and since he's small his belly is small. You really need to be on top of him.

Max hit on me was 1197 but I have 13% shielding.

Anyone solo'd this think a SoF and SoD geared 75 necro fully raid buffed along with a Fully raid buffed 72 tank pet can solo? Necro has 750aa's all the pet aa's DoT crits combat agility and Stability all done. Pet would raid buff to about 17k Hps. Plan was to send pet in to tank, slow it with undead slow because it's undead right? DoT while i use replenish companion to get over the first initial HP loss of the pet while im slowing, i can stand in for the pet just in case for 3 rounds i believe if im life tapping. From there just dot and heal pet with the 73 pet healing spell chilling renewal. Any opinions?

I just wanted to exp in the theatre area, but someone had spawned Garudon earlier in the day. To fast forward, this guy wiped at least five times throughout the day.

I took my 4-box in there, 70 warrior, 70 cleric, 65 shaman, and 54 ranger. The ranger went down fast, but that is ok. The shaman was able to Malo and Slow (with Turgur's 6.5 minute slow) and stay up for most of the fight. After the shaman dropped, it was a race between Garudon's HP and my cleric's mana. Neither the cleric nor the warrior were ever successfully hit with the AE which seems to be the toughest part of the fight.

Sadly, I was ninja-looted when I was rezzing the ranger. Someone took the Dukatlos that dropped. I got a little vindication when they went to let his other character loot the epic piece, but I got to it first (the guy that was trying to kill him all day). I linked the epic 1.5 piece to him in tell, then I let him know that I detroyed it. I guess he shouldn't have looted my kill. The funny thing that really pissed him off is that I was going to let the zone know that the 1.5 piece was there for anyone that needed it. Heck, steal my loot, I'll get pissy and smash everything else.

Pretty easy mob actually, I just took him out in about 7 mins, 18k hp lvl 75 beastlord 12k mana, over 1400 aas.. Self buffs , kei and tenacity.
I had planned to use my staunch recovery Ability but wasn't needed. Resisted the ae everytime with 625 cold resist

Mob quads in the range of 800's, only slowed slightly, hit box is really tiny, I had trouble to keep Garudon from hitting my pet cause I was too far away or something. I used a couple heal overtime potions and was near oom at the end of the fight but had no close calls.

Dropped Statue, range slot and leggings.

I bought the dragon boneshards in the bazaar for about 500pp each
good deal for that kind of loot, will do it again for the weapon I guess..

Last night guild raided Gaurdon and only resisted my cold spell once rest of time it landed and he took full damage. It took a while for us to kill it, 15 people lvl 45+ no one died tho.I'd say it did have about 300kHP like i'd been told. it Droped Draconian Idol, Breastplate of the healing waters, and Garudon's statue. Ran at 2%, and only got about 2 adds. Also, i had used Vet AA the resist one and it didn't get any spells it casted to stick on me (Only casted a spell once)

DUO???
# Jun 18 2006 at 4:33 AM Rating: Decent
i've duoed this on my cleric with a paly no prob. both toons were non anguish geared but lvl 70, and 700 + aa's on each. have also duoed this with a time/qvic geared monk with about 500 aa's.
Duo?
# May 01 2006 at 10:21 AM Rating: Decent
could a time gear + ranger (almost 10k raid buffed) and a decently geared cleric duo him?

# Feb 22 2007 at 4:17 PM Rating: Decent
Hmm bigdog isn't exactly right, I did this with a 75 war 16k hp 2800 ac - My 70 time geared 1.5 epic rogue, my 66 alt cleric and it was a very very easy fight, just a little lengthy. Cleric had about 50m still when the fight was over, she only had a clarity potion but she does have ft 15, only 27 aa's too.
Duo?
# May 31 2007 at 10:50 AM Rating: Decent
you need to get more AC for your warrior, my pally has 15800 and 3150 ac
RE: Duo?
# Jun 16 2006 at 9:05 AM Rating: Decent
No. It took me a full group of 70's with Anguish gear and it took about 5 minutes plus, considering one of them was a pally which was consistantly laying 10K+ slays. But that fight was also very easy, nobody came close to dieing. It could be done with less but not with just a ranger/cleric, maybe if they were both extensivly geared, best in the game perhaps.

Dropped this guy with 7 people, could of done with less. Tank never dropped below 60% except when he was silly and forgot about enrage. Helps having a pally doing 11k slays and a 16k tank.

Dropped the ranged, shoulder and epic piece. Damnit, I wanted the blunt for me monk.

He is a level 70 (white to me).

The thing about Garudon you have to remember is that his hitbox is about the size of his target ring. That includes landing spells. So he's not super ultra resistant, you just need to be in the melee box to land spells. The best way to handle him is to clear to the bottom of the stairs and pull the single mob on the stage. Then have dps/healers/etc up the stairs a little bit. Have MT snag Garudon and run to the corner of the bottom of the stairs. Then pin Garudon against him with the rest of the melee. Necros will get the message slightly slowed. A necro, pally, cleric combo can take him out but it takes a long time. Better to add a little more dps as well. Oh, and he runs at low health.

Third time's the Charm...
# Jun 20 2005 at 1:41 PM Rating: Decent
My guild got flattened twice trying to get this bugger. We made a 3rd attempt last week and won.

Our raid consisted of 20 people. The average level was about 65. Our MT was a lvl 70 warrior with elemental-grade and better gear (a friend of the guild). Other key players were a lvl 70 bard playing his best resist song, .and 2 clerics

The dragon first resisted the 66 shammy's slow, then the 68 necro landed a partial, but by the shammy tried again and landed a full slow.

This guys resists like an undead. Do not waste your mana on disease, cold or poison spells. Magic and fire based land the best, but expect a few reists anyways. Melee types need to suround the mob. This guy has the tendency to get pushed easily. The bouncing around makes it hard for the main tank to stay in range and all the poor casters underneath as well.

Rangers can fire from the top of the bleachers on the far side of the room as you enter.

Everyone in your raid should have their best cold resist gear on. Buff fresh cold resists right before starting as well. Everyone that has the veteran reward that maxes out your stats should use it now. My experience is that cold resists over 300 seldom get hit with ae and the maxed out 500 resists every time.

When we spwaned the mob, the MT waited in the middle of the room (spawn point). With the balance of the raid up against the wall in the corner where there is an alcove leading up to another set of steps. This keeps you out of aggro range, but not AE range. The tank builds aggro while the clerics spam-heal him. When aggro is set the tank calls for assist and everyone joins in the fun. This is when the melee can surround the mob and the casters get underneath.

Garudon dropped 3 items for us: Moss-covered sleeves,Draconian idol and Garudon's statue. Kind of anti-climatic, but we had a coulple of younger toons who actually could use the gear and and enchater to take the statue.

How many items at a time does this guy drop?

I want to set up a raid of about 10 70's to take him out for the Dukatlos for my monk alt. Can I collect 8 pieces and kill him back to back incase it doesn't drop first try?
RE: Items
# Jun 20 2005 at 1:43 PM Rating: Decent
I am not sure if there is a set number, but he dropped 3 for us. Draconian Idol, Moss covered sleeves, and Garudon's statue.

The spirit despawns after you do hand in but is back in less than a day. Not really handy for raiding back to back, but if your friends want to come the following day, then go for it.
Quadded!

He's not that bad. Was killed today on Saryrn by a 70 Paladin (me), 70 Necromancer, and two 70 clerics. It took us about 25 min to keel him but it was fun.

To slow him you have to get inside his target circle because he's a belly caster. We had a chanter there but he died trying to slow him so all we had was Necro slow (no offense Charradan =0 ).

Garudan's statue

http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=52941

gardon's statue now drops off him (either a rare or every time drop don't know). never seen it before. First kill since OOW came out and he had it on him.

Anyone know of a quest referance for it?

We had a mage loot it since - well, no one had any better idea who should loot it, and the mage had collected the parts for the event anyways.

I just posted the same under the Release Garudan quest.

This is believed to be an item required to do the enchanter pre-epic 1.5 for those of us that do not have 1.0.

When we find out more, I'm sure someone will post here.

This does indeed appear to be for the enchanter pre-epic. It is currently being tracked at

he doesnt fear and doesnt dispel

1 problem his pathing and his hitbox.

he looks huge but imagine hitting a gnoll :) since his hitbox is small :P so pile your raids force around his bellly and poke it
dispell?
# Sep 20 2004 at 1:00 PM Rating: Decent
Just wondering does this guy dispell? Want to try this guy with 2 or 3 charmed pets (highborn/noble commanders/cursed hands) and see what the combined dps would be. Lowest hit i've taken off commanders/hand is 454 and with TD almost at max charm almost never breaks early. Looking at taking a 65+ necro and 68 wiz along with myself 64 chanter. Any feedback on if this would even come close to working would be a great help.

First of all, thanks to Jandoedel for being the only one to post some usefull information here. I to am sick and tired of seeing people boasting about there lvl 65 toons with time gear and tons of aa's saying that they solo this stuff for thier twinks. First of all we could care less and will just vote your post down, also how do we know your telling the truth? Flame me if you want but thats just how I feel. At least post some usefull info if your going to boast and brag about your kill. Anyone else feel the same way about people boasting about how they solo kill stuff on here?

This is a load of ********* If you are indeed a fully Time geared necro and raid buffed, you will have a LOT more than 7k buffed.

I am VT/Ep geared with ONE piece of Time loot, and I am at 7.5k buffed. And I am average on HP..

poor information about mobs
# Sep 01 2004 at 1:30 AM Rating: Excellent
its bad info for most to see sso many unclear info on this site.

this mob is not doable with 6 unles u are perfectly geared for it. he quads 98 or so his ae proc is hard to resist at 150 cold resist (i had 268 with bard and resisted it for 40% of the time) he procs quite a bit.

he doesnt rampage. he doesnt flurry. this guy has lotsa hitpoints. about 250-300k i think fomr our fight.

we wiped on him with 24 peeps. so the 6peeps that 1 group him prolly are 6 level 65 with resist uber 400 and alll atleast 10k raidbuffed with tonns of aa points. and a s tnak with lotsa lifetap aa's.

for smaller guilds. bring about 18+ people and make sure the area doesnt bug your melees. wehad troubles hitting this mob while near. also pathing is screwed. he isnt permarooted.

and pls for the 1 group geeks. inform aout your gear quality. i get bored of raidleaders that actually take that stuff serious. for a family guild or a medium raid guild this guy is doable with 18+. for a heavy guild it might be pos with 6 with best circumstances (btw dotn count on that 18+ actually works u need a good coperating raid force for that 24+ is better)
