Argash says, 'Greetin's, _____, you look like a Human who knows the value of a good bow when ye see one. I'll let ye in on a li'l secret, the bow is the greatest of all weapons as it allows you to inflict maximum punishment on yer foes with minimum risk. How can ye possibly go wrong? Or better yet, if'n ye be a ranger, I can see my way clear to making you a coif, tunic, sleeves, bracer, gauntlets, leggings, or boots that I'm sure ye would enjoy.'
He's the quest NPC for the Ranger Thurgadin Armor.

I play on TLP server Mangler and I was able to complete the gauntlet quest with Argash with kindly faction. To find Argash from zoning in (from the Great Divide main entrance) you go over the bridge, turn right at the intersection, and follow that around until you see a sign for Argash's house of Carpentry on the right side. He should be right inside the building with the sign.

You don't need Ally, just need above Amiable, which is Warmly or Kindly I think.

Can anyone confirm this? I hear it needs to be Ally, and now not.. Has anyone gotten the armor with Warmly (which is what I am now)?

You need high warmly...meaning if you just hit warmly you probably need a bit more faction. Hail the NPC and follow the quest text. If he tells you what you need to get the armor, then your faction is good enough to do it.
I got a piece with amiable a while back; I have read however that if it's an MQ, you have to be ally -- not sure on this, since after so much time in Kael I'm prolly ally anyhow - will be doing MQs tonight and if different I will post.
Does your faction need to be ally? or can this quest be completed at any Faction lvl?

do you need to kill this guy to get the coroded stuff or do you need to buy it? the quest info is very vague.
