Spectral ParchmentI soloed (with merc tank and pet) this guy last night. about a 15 min fight. I cleared entire room 1st, then pulled him with his two remaining swords. The ones he summons were minor annoyances that I learned to just ignore. Nothing re-popped while we battled. I used AA malo and after that he resisted nothing. Slowable, and ate DoTs the whole time, even lower disease ones, as I was stacking them like mad.

Merc Tank kept agro most of the fight, but I did get it a few times as the # of DoTs I planted was insane. As in previous posts, he does nothing outlandish, he just has alot of hp. As someone who has never been involved in hardly any raiding, It is very fun for me to go back and experience these zones / mob kills.
EDIT: He dropped the BP Mold and 2 Specs

Had the swords respawn about half way through Xuzl. Perhaps took too long after clearing the first time.
The swords are far more challenging the Xuzl who just has a bucketloads of HP.

soloed today 80 bst (demi/coa geared) tricky but good fight once sword s are down X it s easy (used suspend minion pet pull on swords)
Dropped two of the lances and that's it tonight on The Nameless.

Last nite we took him down with one group
70 shamy , 70 war , 68 SK , 68 BL 70 magi and believe it or not a 55 cleric lol.
About 2k AA’s in the group. Used the SK to pull the swords. SK died a few times pulling but we finaly got them all.
At about 8% we lost the war , 5% the SK. At 2% it was looking like we would all die but finally got him down.
He droped 2 shields and 1 SP.
Enobit 70 shamy on Drinal

As an FYI when we took him down the other night he dropped 2 SPs in addition to the above loot.

From a parse of a recent Xuzl kill, it seems that he has approximately 550,000 HPs (just over half a million), and dishes out around 250 Damage Per Second (DPS). That damage was taken by a well-equipped (Time, GoD, OOW) warrior who used Defensive, and Xuzl was fully slowed by a Shaman very early in the fight. Xuzl's DPS output might be greater with a less-capable tank.
For comparison, the four swords around Xuzl (A Conjured Automaton) had around 156,000 HPs, and put out 312 DPS on that same tank.
The blue line shows the way to Xuzl on a nice map stolen from www.eqatlas.com.
We had no trouble slowing and debuffing Xuzl. He is apparantly tethered to his platform, so it's not possible to single pull him without aggroing the swords around him. We had no problem pacifying to single-pull the two swords in the front, then we attempted to pacify the back two and single pull Xuzl himself. We saw that he tethered back to his platform, so we just pacified one sword, pulled the other (Xuzl assisted, but tethered back). Pulled and killed the last sword, then rushed Xuzl on his platform for the kill.

I would like to post further on this matter. When we did this it was a long time before Oow. We were just elemental flagged and had barely any ep gear at the time. We did this for a challenge, we were not KT flagged either. When back on MM i was first sol ro flagged i had tried this with another group and we would have won had we realised that the swords did not summon instead we kited them all and they got me due to low hp aggro. I doubt this would have ever been considered a raid encounter given how easy the mob is. Puts out less dps than some EP trash mobs when fully slowed. Once the swords are dealt with he is nothing.

Anyone know the spawn time on the Sol Ro minis? is it the standard 3 days most pop stuff is, or is it shorter like BOT towers?

To put this as a raid encounter is quite ridiculous. Did this tonight with myself (pally)and my good friends friends Archerr (ranger) Vesuvius (druid) Clarina (ench) Eilena (cleric) Kserasera (warrior). Killing swords was more efford than xuzl who is just a common melee mob with alore more hp. Gave near 4 blue of aa for the kill though so i that was nice :) Dropped Lance that Rotted and leather Bp with went to Vesu so he could use clicky effect out of lazyness!
It's not a raid encounter.. NOW! This is the time of OoW, this release was HOW many expansions ago? You're almost as bad as the twit who said the same about Trakanon... I guess you just can't understand that material CHANGES after many years.
HOWEVER for people at the level/gear level it was designed for, it's still a raid encounter.
Edit: Also, it's a raid ENCOUNTER. This includes the swords, and all the work needed to make Xuzl doable.

Well, not to offend, but you ought to look at post dates when you reply. Her post was in April 2004. Yours was in October. OoW wasn't even out when she posted. Not that it makes much difference, since this was one groupable even prior to GoD and OoW, just pointing out that if your going to call someone a twit, you might want to pay closer attention since you don't look much brighter when replying to a six month old post.
Isnt Clarina the person who deleted her ench after it turned out he was a man in rl and was ridiculed for cybering other men?

my guild is just breaking into the start of the EP and we still did this guy with 23 people, he is not hard at all.. the swords were harder imo after that standerd melee fight with the "pet killed" msg a ton of times but all in all easy fight and dropped 2 plate BP molds.... gratz on 170k on my server:)

Probally the easiest mini. Clear xuzls room of mobs, then have someone aggro "A Conjured Automaton" These look like chanter 2hs sword pets, the one time I got hit by them was for 1,016 I believe. There are 4 of these pets. When these are dead, have raid rush xuzl and kill him. With tank being kept alive by healers, easy fight. BTW, through the fight we got spammed with "Xuzl's pet has been slain by Xuzl's pet." Not sure why this is, but it happened about every 5 seconds or so. Again, an easy fight.

Just took him down with a warrior, 2 rogues, a shaman, a cleric and an SK. Easy enough once you can split off the front two swords. Dropped Lance, rune and ornate bp mold.

What's the name of Xuzl's AE?
We killed this guy last night - there was no AE apparently.
Hit for 1030 or so - and is slowable.
