This guy is gimp. He spawns right behind the spearmen on the eastern flank and runs toward the nexus spires. I, 65 ranger ele geared, shot an arrow at him as he was running to EW. This didn't stop him so I tried to root and it didn't stick, but it let me get agro. As soon as you get agro AND stay in a certain range, he will follow you. He doesn't hit too hard as I saw max his was like 350ish. I dragged him back to the raid force (standing at the coldain archers flank) where we basically took him out. Raid size was ~39, totally pickup with a good bard friend doing the highsunning. Even had a level 15 bst in raid haha. We didnt have a tank for the first minute of the fight as he was gimp, so one or two people may have died, but then a 60 warrior or something stepped up and took the hits. Fun fight, this guy took a few minutes to kill. Dropped spear + head. I took the head to the head dwarf at the dwarf camp right next to the river leading into the waterfall, turned it in with my ring, voila! 10th ring.
He hands you back a Shaved head or something, hand the shaved head to each coldain hero at the camp for a new reward. They depop after the turnin but they give you their respective reward and the shaved head back. Loot was randomed, I kept the 10th ring, and the level 15 bst got the norent shaved head. Very fun stuff.

sorry, I do not know much about this and would like to know if he just pops or is triggered cause he drops some extremely nice stuff and he looks pretty easy. Unless there is something I am not seeing cause he looks groupable
hes spawned as the boss of the 10th Ring War, and also, he only drops his head and lance, the other stuff is given to you from the coldain heros if you keep them alive during the ring war, so in essence, he doesn't drop muuch

I joined another guild on their ring war 2 nights ago. It was my first one and what fun it turned out to be! It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to kill giants.
Narandi dropped the lance and his head only. It was reported that the dorfs weren't accepting the head turn in attempts so we ended up having to petition. It being my first time I'm not sure what this all means.
And StudDust, please take your own advice before blasting people. I am not an e-bay toon and I'm not sure if I've helped kill a mob with this many HP before. My guild is small and doesn't raid much. We don't all experience the game the same way.

We took this guy down last night, Nov 20th. He did have a TON of HP's and he'll FLURRY likes it's cool. However, he did go down in about 4 mins or so. WE DID have 60 sumthin ppl for the raid and that helps. The only loot he actualy dropped was his head and the lance. Got the ring, the crown, a neck piece and his eye from the quest.

Contrary to popular (or unpopular) belief, Narandi drops nothing but his head and the lance, and occasionally some random giant toes and research. The other items listed on his loot table are rewards for turning his head in to the Coldain Leaders that are remaining at the end of the Ringwar, after getting the 10th ring from Seneschal Aldikar. I've led this event 3 times (not just for myself) and its quite fun (but long). Narandi does indeed have about 100+khp, hits a bit less often and hard as Vindi does. Easy for most guilds anymore.

Lot of people was pissed at us for killing it offered to give them the loot and they still acted like ******** so i said *** you and left i tried to be nice but because they didnt get the kill they had to act like jerks

him being a lvl 66 mob 120k hp is common. The AOW in Keal is lvl 70 and has 500k HP. You need a very large guild to do this war.

No way this giant has 120k hps.. Pretorians did this yesterday, we was alot of people (Around 80ish) And i´d say we had around 20-30 meeles.. He died in less then a minute.. No deaths at all on him.. only chain heal MT.. and no problem.. He dropped all but his crown..

You don't think 80 people could do 120,000 damage quickly?
One wizard alone can do 2735 damage every 8 seconds, assuming no improved damage or spell haste. So assuming there were 8 wizards there, that's 21,880 damage every 8 seconds, again, resists and focus effects not accounted for. Spells have a ~2 second recast rate, so that's 131,280 damage in 60 seconds if they chain-nuked. Which would likely get them killed, but hey.
Then add in all the rangers, monks, rogues, mages, necros and pets... I think you get the idea.
I've one-grouped mobs with 100khp and they didn't take too long.

If you have been playing long enough to get involved in a ringwar and have never seen anything with 120k hitpoints, then you are a total E-Bayed player. Lots of NPCs have 120k and more. The slime event in CT has a final mob with over 500k hitpoints.
Nate Illuminous (spelling?) in Katta has about 750k
Lets not forget the many PoP mobs that have this many and even more. There are mobs in the game that have 1 million hit points.
Do a little research before you decide to blast someone.

Do the math....30 tanks at random lvls I would give them an average of 50 dps (now that is a terribly low average but watch how it adds up). They will do 30k damage in one minute. I would say that Nidari dying in 2 minutes would be NP, add in the casters and pets....180k for a raidforce goes by very fast.

Just finished the 10th ring war on Xev. This guy is the last giant in the war and he is really tough. He casts Turgur's insects, flurrys, has a 44/45 spear, and 120k hp. During the battle, there were a pile of corpses around him.
Uhh This is ooc but if your going to get that ring again, could you send me a tell? Id really, REALLY like to see this guy and maybe get some loot of giants. I'm having slow lvling. But with giant stuff, Ill be lvl 60 by may 20!
