You say, 'Hail, a raging werewolf vindicator'
a raging werewolf vindicator says 'Ah, it has been such a long time since I have had control of my own mind! Thank you for repairing the [barrier]. You have freed some of us from the [strange influence] of Discord, and for that we are all grateful.'
You say, 'barrier'
a raging werewolf vindicator says 'This pattern on the floor and ceiling of the room act as a barrier, they keep our lady in her tower. A cruel but necessary restriction. I can [tell the tale] of the creation of this tower if you wish.'
You say, 'tell the tale'
a raging werewolf vindicator says 'It was not long after her ascension that Sullon became a concern for the other gods. Her rage is boundless, but she can control it. That is her power, to direct her infinity of rage. But some gods feared her power and her rage. They could not conceive of themselves controlling such anger and therefore could not believe that she could do so either. Other gods had reasons as numerous as they are to wish the new goddess to be removed from their sight. So they decided that she had to be controlled. Convincing Rallos Zek that this needed to be done was difficult, but the sly Cazic-Thule found a [way].'
You say, 'way'
a raging werewolf vindicator says 'The god of fear simply did what he does best. He waited until Sullon and Rallos were together at a council with the sons of Zek. He then wrought upon Sullon a subtle terror, a fear that the council she was attending was a ploy to catch her unaware and to destroy her. He made her believe that her new brothers feared her and wanted her destroyed. This was an easy manipulation for Cazic, for her brothers did fear her power and rage, though they kept that fear under control. The terror he gave Sullon caused her to lose control of her rage for a moment and [she attacked] her brothers and father.'
You say, 'she attacked'
a raging werewolf vindicator says 'Yes, and her power was immense. It is believed that no single god can withstand her rage if she uses it as her tool. But she was not in control that day, and she did battle with the god of war and his sons. They were able to defeat her, though all of them suffered great wounds. When she awoke she was again in control of herself. She explained to her brothers that she was not responsible for the assault, that it was the influence of Cazic-Thule that was responsible. When asked, Cazic-Thule [did not deny] what he had done. A counsel was called.'
You say, 'did not deny'
a raging werewolf vindicator says 'Yes, he admitted his trickery before all the assembled gods. He told them how easily he had turned the goddess of rage against her kin. 'If she could be convinced to attack them so easily, what chance would a goddess of nature or air have against such force?' He then motioned to the gods of war, still battered from their fight with Sullon, and it was done. The gods could not risk Sullon, nor could Norrath. Rallos built for her a tower in the center of her domain and placed her there. He attempted to make it a place of comfort for his daughter, but what does the god of war know about comfort? He then sealed it with his blood and the blood of all of his sons to keep her imprisoned. For her part, Sullon [accepted the decision].'
You say, 'accepted the decision'
a raging werewolf vindicator says 'Outwardly she accepted it. Inside, as you might expect, she was furious. She maintained her control, however, and made no outburst at all during the counsel. It is said that her face was as cold as steel that day and that many of the gods grew uncertain about their decision when she made no reaction other than a simple nod. And so she lives here, inspiring rage in her followers and battling against the very best here in her tower. The seal keeps her here and entities like myself have been assigned to keep the [seal safe] and help her in any way we can.'
You say, 'seal safe'
a raging werewolf vindicator says 'Unfortunately it is beyond our ability to stop the intrusion of Discord. Its [strange influence] seems to be drawn here, perhaps because rage itself causes so much strife and confusion among mortals that do not know how to use it.'
You say, 'strange influence'
a raging werewolf vindicator says 'Yes, the influence of Discord has grown in the Planes as it has on Norrath. This influence appears to have been drawn to Sullon by her very nature, her rage and destructive power. I do not know if the influence of Discord breached the barrier and that caused it to weaken, or if there was a weakness in the barrier that Discord infiltrated. Regardless of how it happened, the power of Discord tainted the protective barrier and many of the guardians here, such as myself. You have restored the pattern and fortified the barrier, and for that everyone is grateful. Should Sullon get free of this place while she is tainted with Discord she would undoubtedly destroy much of Norrath and the Planes before she could be stopped.'
