There is a merchant right next to the Gem Merchant in Cabilis. The merchant next to the Gem Merchant sells two stones. One of them is a Fire Emerald

I know you asked a long time ago, but for others needing location, when leaving shammy guildhall, turn left. there's a 2 story building, on the second floor u can find the furscales. :)

OK, TWICE I have turned in quest items and not received the scaled mystic piece. Just now, I turned in banded boots, rhino hoof, fire emerald and spirit caller beads. I talked to Zaslan first, zoned out, zoned back in, handed him the stuff, and I'm 94pp poorer for it. Do the items need to be bagged? Must the quests be done in a specific order? Have I missed a step? HELP before I go broke trying this again!

u need to say "Hierophant Oxyn sent me" then he will say alot of stuff, Then u say "I will collect rare items" then give him the stuff

If anyone has any idea why i cant get the Fur scale ppl to talk to my shaman hes lvl 20 and i just Hail them and nothing Happened If anyone has any idea Give Fazar (my mage) a tell I am on the Rathe. Ty for help i hope someone has any idea why they wont talk.

Make sure you tell the Furscales that "Oxyn sent me" - just hailing them won't do it.

I have the Greaves and the Gauntlets and I'm working on the other 2. That is, 2 of the first 4 bundles that you must collect. However, my question is, what if I have managed to collect a bundle that he hasn't assigned to me yet. I have everything for the boots, but I don't want to give the items to him only to have him give me the old', "I don't know what the hell to do with these but I'll keep them anyway", line.
Can I in fact hand these over to him and get the reward or do I have to wait to complete the first 4 bundles to get him to speak of the others?

the other NPC there gives quests too, make sure you are talking to the right NPC and giving them to the correct person.

Okay, lvl 19 Shaman Speaking, and I intend to do this quest next time I play. Here's whatcha do!
1.) collect Banded boots 6pp from player
2.) go to The Overthere and collect a Rhino hoof.
3.) go to Lake of Ill Omen (great exp for 17-25) and get Spirit Caller Beads, you WILL come across them once in a while!
4.) get money to buy Fire Emerald, then buy it, perferably with CHA boosts.
5.) turn in items to that Furscale guy.
6.) Show off your Boots in Lake of Ill Omen or where ever you like to hunt (^_^)
P.S. I'm a COMPLETE non-twink Iksar Shaman, I do pottery and trade stuff whenever I can for money, I have a 1K spear and some cool armor, prolly 'bout 700pp worth in armor, you CAN! yes YOU CAN get money without begging or twinking! try it sometime!

Ok this is one of the last peices i need for a full suite. Just simply go to OT and shout need to loot rhino hoof someone will hook u up in like 10 to 20 mins. Then run to LOIO and shout need to loot spirt caller beeds. Someone will hook u up in a few mins. Then get a CHA buff run to the jewler outside the bank in Cabalis and buy the fire emerald very simple ). That is how i got my legs and guants yesterday, very simple ) hope this helps )

anyone can do this quest my bard just did this quest all you have to do is kill alot of gobs and sarnarks around the ent of cabilis in LOIO....then do the bone chip quest after your not KOS to the guards...the bone chip quest will give you the faction needed to do the quest...id sudgest going to pineall the evil city of odus and collecting bone chips there...many skellies in a small place

ok everyone.. one last time its an IKSAR SHAMAN quest inside CABILIS where everyone other than iksar are KOS so if you're not iksar forget the quest.. hope that helps some of the slower people out there 8P

The quest is completable by any one with indifferent or better faction with Scaled Mystics, this is unfortunately a very hard faction to raise, I am a scaled mystic and I just barely got to amiable <grin> gotta love a guild that is indifferent to its members. A better thing to say is while it is possible that a barbarian could work faction up enough to enter cabilis, why would you want to just for a stupid quest. The return item is iksar only, if you are twinking there are much easier ways, like buying the boots. As for Mr. "DAMN! THICKHEADS?!?!?!" I suggest that you learn your facts before you start rudely spouting off incorrect information, it makes you look not only childish but stupid.

Well first of all you'll be killed in the process since you have to go inside Cabilis to turn the parts in. Second you can't wear them anyways as all the Scaled Mystic armor is the Iksar Shaman race/class specific armor.

the shammy are the almost the hardest faction to get up, try using your illuion and benevolence, if your faction is still not high enfu try turning a few backpacks of bone chips to get the faction up.

Where do you find Rhinos?

They are fairly in Overthere. Get into the zone (I go through Warsliks), head north (things seem to get harder the further SOUTH you go in the zone) and you'll see one eventually. I was lvl 20, found some blue rhinos and took them down easily enougth (the second or third one had a hoof).

Where can I get a fire emerald without paying 100 plat at the vendor ? Yes I know... all you twinked little Iksars do not have the problem but I cannot afford 100-150 plat per piece of armor at level 26. So the question is: Who drops the gems we need here ?

My advice is get a good charisma buff and/or increase your faction with the vendors. Putting your cha to 100+ should get you the ability to buy a fire emerald for around 90 plat, I think.
For killing mobs, OoT is probably the best place, seafury cyclops can drop them. They range from 38-42. In short, beyond the abilities of a level 26.

Price of the gem tells you what level Mob it drops off of. All gems are random drops off any mob. A 100pp gem will drop off a lvl 40+ Mob.

yeah, in the overthere, i don guess the level of rhino matters,..i'm 21 warrior and a hoof dropped for me,...
just be prepared to kill lotsa rhinos!...

u get beads in lake of ill omen off a completely non-rare spirit caller goblin around river by FV. my group of lvl 15s and a 16 cleric just 4 of us took him down easy. beware he is a caster.

Sometimes they give me exp, well thats what the screen says. Gues yall were a bunch of twinks, but these goblins are typically mid twenties, about 10 lv's higher than you say you were. I think you were mistaken which goblin you killed at lv 15 or 16. I personally hunted these guys in my twenties in warsilks woods with a full group of low 20's it was non stop action, just the way I like it.
Oh bleah.. i was killin like 10 or 11 more rare ones in the gob cave who never had beads.

There are also Goblin Spirit Callers that spawn in the Goblin ruins in Ill Omen between the windmill and lake.

I hunted the Goblin mines for 2 days and never saw any beads, went to Goblin ruins between lake and windmill and within a half hour I had them.
