Call of the Forsaken Info & Guides: Overview | Progression & Task List | Raiding | Visible Armor About Heroic Adventures - Heroic adventures in Call of the Forsaken scale in level: As low as Level 75 and up to current maximum level. - Scale is based on the highest level player present in the zone and affects difficulty, loot quality, and mob levels. - There is some variation/randomization in the task steps you'll be assigned as you progress through the task. - Time of completion will vary by your group's makeup (anywhere from 30-90+ minutes). - Collection items appear as ground spawns midway through tasks (you'll see an emote indicating their appearance). - Named mobs (or their PHs) spawn midway through tasks (usually, but always, at the same time collection items appear). - These tasks have individual 3-hour lockout timers (timer gained upon completion). Experience in Heroic Adventures - Mobs in these instances grant some experience, but the bulk of experience is earned upon task completion. - As of a patch in November 2014, less difficult tasks were tuned to reward less experience and more difficult ones were tuned to reward more. - For an added experience bonus, check out Guard Hamarn's "Daily Tasks". This is a heroic adventure (1-6 players) that begins with Snazlieu the Shadow (map image) in the Bixie Warfront. She is located a little ways north from the portal to the Ethernere Tainted West Karana. Pre-Requisites for Requesting: - Level 75 - Completed "Espionage Begins At Home" (heroic adventure) - Completed "Always Follow the Money" (heroic adventure) TASK SUMMARY - Say "embark on an adventure" to request the task and "ready" to zone in. NAMED MOBS "Monarch Deathwing" (or its PH) has a chance to spawn after the fourth step is completed. Known loot from this named: Bixie Summoner's Stone Deathwing's Facade Gloves of Latent Ether The Monarch's Pattern TASK IN DETAIL ======================================================================== TRIGGERING THE TASK ======================================================================== You say, 'Let's embark on an adventure' Snazlieu the Shadow says 'Very well. Let me know when you're [ready] to depart.' You have been assigned the task 'Working Overtime'. More than simply amassing catapults and the tools of war, the Stone Hive is also training a full army of bixie soldiers to use them. Wet River Hive scouts have located a training ground in the western tunnels, and have requested your aid in shutting it down. ======================================================================== STEP #1 ======================================================================== Collect sleepy pollen 0/8 (Bixie Warfront) Task Window Says: Some of the Wet River Hive scouts think that the local bixies are being infected by the local flora. Collect some pollen samples from nearby dreamer's lapse flowers to bring back to camp. You can spot the dreamer's lapse by their vibrant purple color and tendency to grow at the base of mushrooms. If You Get This Step: In the area just outside the zone-in cave are some clickable purple flowers. Click on them to receive "Sleepy Pollen" in your inventory. Note that each time you click a flower, 10x "a nibbling mole" spawn and attack (each hit for a max ~600). These can be mem-blurred or faded and are not necessary kills. ============================== Collect sleepy pollen 0/8 (Bixie Warfront) Task Window Says: Some of the bixies seem to be collecting pollen from the oversized flowers growing down here. Kill them and take the pollen so that the Wet River Hive bixies can analyze it. If You Get This Step: Kill the "a pollen _____" bixies outside the zone-in cave until you've looted 8x "Sleepy Pollen". ======================================================================== STEP #2 ======================================================================== Put sedatives in personal honey pots 0/8 (Bixie Warfront) Task Window Says: You've discovered the primary mess hall for the bixie military training grounds. Perhaps you can slow down the troops by putting sedatives in their food supply. Find personal-sized honey pots around the platform nearby. If You Get This Step: To the east of the zone-in cave is a platform full of honey pots and hungry bixies. Clicking on a pot will cause "a hungry bixie" to either aggro you (in which case you have to kill it to update the step) or fall asleep (updating the step automatically). a hungry bixie spits out his next bite of honey and looks at you with rage as it shouts, 'This is the worst honey I've ever tasted! I need some _____ blood to wash the taste out of my mouth!' a hungry bixie's obnoxious chewing slows down, until it stops completely, and it falls over, fast asleep. ============================== Kill kitchen staff 0/5 (Bixie Warfront) Task Window Says: The staff of the mess hall seems to be particularly aggressive. Some of the Wet River Hive infiltrators reported the workers adding excessive ingredients to the meals. They suspect foul play. Kill the kitchen staff to make way for a new set of workers. If You Get This Step: To the right as you come out of the zone-in cave is a cooking area. Kill bixies in this area ("a saucier"; "a line cook"; "a sous chef"; "a pastry smasher"). ======================================================================== STEP #3 ======================================================================== Duel promising students 0/5 (Bixie Warfront) Task Window Says: The dojo is filled with students training amongst themselves. Most have trained to focus their rage, so they won't lash out blindly at you. The more advanced students might be willing to duel you if you approach them directly and ask. Duel some so you can learn how advanced their tactics are. If You Get This Step: The dojo is due north of the cave entrance. Hail "a promising student" to make it aggro, and then DPS it to 5-10% health, at which points it gives up and leaves, updating the step. These mobs hit for a max ~13,500 and have a lot of hitpoints compared to other mobs in the zone. You say, 'Hail, a promising student' a promising student bows to you and growls, 'I've been hoping to test myself against some _____s. Let's fight! a promising student submits to you, looking quite annoyed, 'Well fought, _____.' ============================== Defeat the masters in the dojo 0/2 (Bixie Warfront) Task Window Says: ? If You Get This Step: Kill the two Senseis (Sensei Waila; Sensei Knock). They are aggro-linked, but snareable/rootable/charmable. ============================== Protect bullied students 0/5 (Bixie Warfront) Task Window Says: With no formal leadership, the bixies training in the dojo have begun terrorizing one another. The weaker bixies are being brutalized by the stronger ones. Defend the weaker bixies and you might be able to recruit them over to your cause. At the very least, you'll stop them from killing each other. If You Get This Step: Kill mobs called "a taunting trainee" around the bullied students, and then hail the students. ======================================================================== STEP #4 ======================================================================== Kill violent bixies in the tunnel and break through the barricade 0/7 (Bixie Warfront) Task Window Says: A few vicious bixie guards have gone rogue, constructing a barricade in the tunnel and are stealing from any bixies that want to travel through it. Break through their barricade, and put down any bixies that get violent with you. If You Get This Step: From the large entrance area, head north into the tunnel where you'll find these bixies. "a border guard"; "a detainer"; and "a resister" count towards the kill step. ============================== Rescue slightly chewed bixies 0/4 (Bixie Warfront) Task Window Says: Things are even worse than the Wet River Hive scouts reported. Some of the local bixies have become cannibals, hunting and eating their neighbors. They took their prisoners into the northern tunnel after their most recent raid. Follow then in and free any captives you find. If You Get This Step: From the large entrance area, head north into the tunnel where you'll find these bixies. "a desperate cannibal"; "a cannibal cook"; and "a hungry cannibal". Kill them, and hail the "a slightly chewed bixie" for it to run away and update the step. ============================== Kill the bandits in the northern tunnel 0/8 (Bixie Warfront) Task Window Says:As the bixie society devolves into brutes, a group have banded together to take over the northern tunnel nearby. Run them out of the tunnel to stop their raids and lessen the madness going on down here, even if by a little bit. If You Get This Step: This is a kill update of KOS bixies in the tunnel north of the zone-in area. ======================================================================== STEP #5 ======================================================================== Convince shifty factory guards to not report your presence, or kill them 0/2 (Bixie Warfront) Task Window Says: Following the road north out of the tunnel, you find the entrance to an industrial factory. The high, narrow road into it is crawling with guards. Some will need to be killed, but it looks like a couple will be open to working with you. Talk with them and find a way to make sure they keep quiet. If You Get This Step: Note that the named "Monarch Deathwing" has a chance to spawn when this step opens up. Head north to the bridge outside the factory where you'll find 2x "a shift factory guard". You can either bribe them with 100pp, or kill them to update this step. You say, 'Hail, a shifty factory guard' a shifty factory guard looks at the blood on your clothes and chuckles, 'They had it coming. A bixie's got to [know his place] in this world.' You say, 'Know his place?' a shifty factory guard says 'Take me for example: I guard the factory owned by the richest bixie around. I don't [get paid] enough, and I don't get [respect].' You say, 'You don't get paid enough?' a shifty factory guard smiles and holds his hand out, 'Perhaps you'd like to help me be compensated fairly? Say [a hundred platinum]?' You say, 'Respect?' a shifty factory guard says 'What? You don't think I [deserve] respect?' You say, 'A hundred platinum; here you go...' a shifty factory guard slips the coins into his pocket and bows low to you, directing you towards the factory entrance. a shifty factory guard gives you a wink and says, 'Head right on in, _____.' Or, instigate a fight and kill it: You say, 'You don't deserve it!' a shifty factory guard says 'I'll teach you to respect me!' ============================== Kill aerial guards outside the factory 0/4 (Bixie Warfront) Task Window Says: Following the road north out of the tunnel, you find the entrance to an industrial factory. The high, narrow road into it seems to be guarded by specially trained aerial guards. Lure them to the ground and kill them. If You Get This Step: Head north to the bridge outside the factory where you'll find 4x "an aerial security officer" (in the air); kill them. ======================================================================== STEP #6 ======================================================================== Sneak through the factory 0/1 (Bixie Warfront) Task Window Says: Many of the factory workers seem to be asleep. Try to sneak through the factory unnoticed and reach the locked door on the other side of the floor. You might be able to find out where the catapults being built here are being sent. If You Get This Step: Head through the factory to the opposite side. ======================================================================== STEP #7 ======================================================================== Survive the ambush 0/1 (Bixie Warfront) Task Window Says: You weren't as quiet as you thought! Some of the factory workers spotted you walking through and have come in behind you. Survive their attacks and get out of there! If You Get This Step: Several bixies spawn in the entrance area of the factory (they do NOT auto-aggro and can be single-pulled). Kill all of them to complete the task. ============================== Earn Kelly's trust 0/1 (Bixie Warfront) Task Window Says: ? If You Get This Step: Say "ready" to Kelly to spawn 4x "a rioting factory worker". Kill these four mobs, and then hail Kelly to complete the task. If this doesn't update, kill the riot cops. You say, 'Hail, Kelly' Kelly throws his arm around you, '_____, right? I think I've seen you around before. Listen, you've got to [help] us again!' You say, 'Of course I'll help' Kelly smiles and says, 'The workers are so close to achieving independence. We just need a little [more force] behind our movement, if you know what I mean.' You say, 'More force?' Kelly says 'I've received a tip that Ol' Honeybags is sending in a group of bruisers to try and strong-arm the strikers into work. I want your help in keeping them safe! Think you're [ready] to help us with that?' You say, 'Ready!' Kelly says 'Good, because here they come!' Hail Kelly again after killing whatever "riot" mobs are with her. You say, 'Hail, Kelly' Kelly laughs and throws his bloody fist into the air as the workers around him holler, 'That was brilliant, _____!' The strike can't be stopped now!' ============================== Interrogate workers 0/7 (Bixie Warfront) Task Window Says: The door is firmly locked. You'll need to get information another way. Try speaking with the late night factory workers to coax information out of them. If You Get This Step: Hail the "a late night worker" mobs. They will either auto-attack or follow the dialogue to the keyword "deadline" (they hit for a max ~12,000 and are stunnable/mezzable). Beat them down to between 10-25%, they will yield and task updates. You say, 'Hail, a late night worker' a late night worker sleepily wipes its eyes and mumbles, 'What? Did I miss the [deadline]?' You say, 'You missed a deadline' a late night worker yawns and says, 'Yeah, the [catapult delivery] for the Cliknar front.' You say, 'About that catapult delivery...' a late night worker says 'Hey, you're not the foreman!' You say, 'Hail, a late night worker' a late night worker says 'Hey, you're not supposed to be here!' ============================== Find bixie inventions 0/3 (Bixie Warfront) Task Window Says: The door is firmly locked. You'll need to get information another way. The workers in the factory seem to be tinkering with gadgets. Find three interesting bixie inventions to help put the pieces together about what's going on here. If You Get This Step: Bixies called "a brilliant inventor"; "an obsessed tinkerer"; and "a weird assembler" can drop the item "Bixie Invention". Right-click this item to have several things happen: You'll either spawn numerous "an enamored digger" moles (non-KOS), or you'll be warped to the mounted target dummy. Also a dancing "Inspiration Elf" female wood elf can spawn. You've been forcibly enlisted as a crash test dummy! Both things will update this step (you'll need to do three clicks to complete the step and the task). TASK REWARDS - a varying amount of platinum - a varying amount of experience - a varying number of Marks of Valor (currency used to buy group gear) | |
