Call of the Forsaken Info & Guides: Overview | Progression & Task List | Raiding | Visible Armor
About Heroic Adventures
- Heroic adventures in Call of the Forsaken scale in level: As low as Level 75 and up to current maximum level.
- Scale is based on the highest level player present in the zone and affects difficulty, loot quality, and mob levels.
- There is some variation/randomization in the task steps you'll be assigned as you progress through the task.
- Time of completion will vary by your group's makeup (anywhere from 30-90+ minutes).
- Collection items appear as ground spawns midway through tasks (you'll see an emote indicating their appearance).
- Named mobs (or their PHs) spawn midway through tasks (usually, but always, at the same time collection items appear).
- These tasks have individual 3-hour lockout timers (timer gained upon completion).
Experience in Heroic Adventures
- Mobs in these instances grant some experience, but the bulk of experience is earned upon task completion.
- As of a patch in November 2014, less difficult tasks were tuned to reward less experience and more difficult ones were tuned to reward more.
- For an added experience bonus, check out Guard Hamarn's "Daily Tasks".
This is a heroic adventure (1-6 players) that begins with Snazlieu the Shadow (map image) in the Bixie Warfront. She is located a little ways north from the portal to the Ethernere Tainted West Karana.

TASK IN DETAIL
========================================================================
TRIGGERING THE TASK
========================================================================
You say, 'Let's embark on an adventure'
Snazlieu the Shadow says 'Very well. Let me know when you're [ready] to depart.'
You have been assigned the task 'Always Follow the Money'.
The Stone Hive bixies have begun shuttling all of the supplies to a large cavern in the northern edge of the residential area. Wet River Hive scouts report that the bixies are building weapons of war at an increase rate. Follow runners into the cavern and see if you can locate, and sabotage, the bixies' production line.
You say, 'Ready!'
Snazlieu the Shadow says 'Good luck... No, don't tell me your name. It's easier this way.'
LOADING, PLEASE WAIT...
You have entered Bixie Warfront.
========================================================================
STEP #1
========================================================================
Kill plant bundlers 0/5 (Bixie Warfront)
Task Window Says: You found a group of bixies that are bundling plant parts floating down the river so they can be carried in larger quantities. Put an end to their nefarious bundling of vegetation!
If You Get This Step: Kill update.
Collect soggy plant parts 0/6 (Bixie Warfront)
Task Window Says: The bixies appear to be using this honey river to float supplies down from the surface hive. Perhaps this is what's corrupting them. Smash some of the floating plants and grab some samples to test back at camp.
If You Get This Step: Attack the soggy plant parts as they flow down the stream of honey (cannot be stunned or snared, so have to DPS them while they'e mobile). Loot form them "Soggy Plant Parts". If you don't have enough DPS to destroy them on their first go-around, they do appear to respawn at the beginning at the same health you left them.
========================================================================
STEP #2
========================================================================
Plant tracking bugs on tired runners 0/5 (Bixie Warfront)
Task Window Says: It looks like some of the bixies are carrying supplies from the river to another location. Place a tracking bug on some of them to find out where they're taking the supplies.
If You Get This Step: You receive "Tracking Bugs" in your inventory. You'll need to find "a rushed runner" and right-click the "Tracking Bugs" on them (a good place to catch them is at the end of the honey river). Doing this spawns 2x "an alerted guard" which attack (hit for a max ~12,000; mezzable; stunnable).
Two shiny tracking bugs leap from your hands and race towards the rushed runner, latching onto its clothing.
=====================
Kill delivery florists 0/5 (Bixie Warfront)
Task Window Says: ?
If You Get This Step: There are a lot of bixie florists running around from the bottom of the honey river through the residential area. They are non-aggro and run back and forth into the town. You have to damage them while in this state until they get to 45% at which point they become aggro.
========================================================================
STEP #3
========================================================================
Escort a late delivery bixie 0/1 (Bixie Warfront)
Task Window Says: Not all of the bixie runners have been able to make it through the volatile street below. You found one particularly anxious bixie, who asked for help reaching its destination. Protect it along its entire route so that you can discover where they're taking all of these supplies.
If You Get This Step: Speak with Crolling Criztanus and follow her down the path. As she moves along, waves of 3x "a rabid ganker" spawn and attack her. These hit for a max ~11,000, and are mezzable and stunnable.
You say, 'Hail, Crolling Crixtanus'
Crolling Crixtanus points his finger at you aggressively and shouts, 'You there! Stop whatever you're doing and [help] me deliver these weird plants to the other side of town.'
You say, 'We'll help'
Crolling Crixtanus says 'I've been delivering small bits of dead plants to the residents of this particular strip for literally days without problem. Now they've all gone insane and started attacking me! These people need their plant parts. Are you [ready]?'
You say, 'Ready!'
Crolling Crixtanus brushes off his arms, plucks at its wings, gets a good grip on the plant parts, and zooms ahead of you.
Crolling Crixtanus says 'Here come the greedy freaks! Arm yourselves!'
a rabid ganker bares its teeth as it readies its first attack.
Crolling Crixtanus slaps you with the big plant part, 'Less talking, more guarding!'
a rabid ganker's corpse shudders as it crumples on the ground.
a rabid ganker has been slain by _____!
Crolling Crixtanus haphazardly tosses the plant parts onto the doorstep and says, 'They deserve a slightly bruised plant after all that work. Time for a break!'
=====================
Collect aggressive antennae 0/15 (Bixie Warfront)
Task Window Says: ?
If You Get This Step: Kill raging bandits, reclaimers, and bitter thieves until you've looted 15x "Aggressive Antenna".
=====================
Kill rioters in the residential area 0/10 (Bixie Warfront)
Task Window Says: The bixies in the street below have started rioting! Take down any overaggressive bixies you encounter in the area.
If You Get This Step: Kill 10 KOS bixies in the residential area.
========================================================================
STEP #4
========================================================================
Kill Cristonix and Luncher 0/2 (Bixie Warfront)
Task Window Says: The riot was apparently organized by a local bandit leader, Cristonix. She's confronted you on the east edge of the street. Kill her and her bloody pet.
If You Get This Step: Head further down the path where you'll find Cristonix and Luncher. Luncher is a standard mob for the zone. Cristonix has a lot of hitpoints and casts "Frozen Cyanin". Neither are rootable/snareable (*update: Cristonix is snarable (by a lvl 105 wizard) and Luncher is immune to changes in runspeed), but they are stunnable and mezzable. They are NOT aggro-linked (CAN be split from one another).
Cristonix says 'This neighborhood belongs to the Spider Stomper clan!'
=====================
Survive the guards' ambush 0/6 (Bixie Warfront)
Task Window Says: As you tried to leave out the east side of the row of homes, you were ambushed by a pack of guards not interested in quelling the riot. Survive their ambush and turn the tables on them.
If You Get This Step: Kill three waves of mobs (non-nameds are snareable/rootable):
Wave 1:
1x "a greedy guard"
1x "a conspirator"
Wave 2:
3x "a conspirator"
Wave 3:
1x "Amber Grillet"
========================================================================
STEP #5
========================================================================
Kill factory workers 0/10 (Bixie Warfront)
Task Window Says: You discovered that the runners are carrying supplies to what appears to be a large factory, where the bixies are building some catapults and training moles. Clear the floor to stop production.
If You Get This Step: From the residential area, head east and circle around the large rock (a named or its PH can spawn in this area at this point in the task), and enter the factory. Kill 10 bixies in the factory.
=====================
Destroy catapults 0/4 (Bixie Warfront)
Task Window Says: You discovered that the runners are carrying supplies to what appears to be a large factory, where the bixies are building catapults. Some have already been completed. Kill workers to find volatile components that you can use to destroy finished catapults.
If You Get This Step: Collect 20x "Volatile Components" (dropped from bixie mobs inside the factory). Stand on top of a completed catapult, and right-click these items (one click takes 5x "Volatile Components" and destroys one catapult).
=====================
Support striking workers 0/4 (Bixie Warfront)
Task Window Says: You found where all the raw materials were being taken to: a military factory north of the housing section. It appears that the workers are on strike at the moment, keeping catapults and other weapons of war out of the hands of the bixie military. Speak with four prominent strikers inside the factory to find out how you can help each of them.
If You Get This Step: Speak with named striking workers Kelly (3 riot cops spawn and attack; kill them), Crutchy (4-5 mobs spawn from the opening and attack; kill them), Delancy (kill him), and Mush ("wants help with slogan").
For Mush:
You say, 'Hail, Mush'
Mush looks at you suspiciously and asks, 'You [care] about the workers, _____?'
You say, 'Yes... I care...'
Mush nods and says, 'Maybe you wouldn't mind proving it by helping us make some [picket signs]?'
You say, 'Picket signs?'
Mush says 'Yeah, we gotta make some signs to show why we're [striking] and try to persuade some of those lazy lumps down in the village to support us!'
You say, 'Striking?'
Mush says 'Alright, which phrase do you like better for our signs? [MORE PAY MORE WORK MORE WAR] or [HONEYBAGS EATS CHILDREN]?'
You say, 'HONEYBAGS EATS CHILDREN'
Mush gives you a weird look and asks, 'Are you sure? Alright, well you heard the Gnomework, strikers. Write 'em up! Now, let's plan a [backup slogan].'
You say, 'Backup slogan?'
Mush says 'Sure, we can't be guaranteed that the first one you picked will catch on. Which do you like better between these: [TIME TO FIRE HIM] or [FIRE HIM TO TIRE!]--wait a second.'
Mush looks around the group and says, 'Who wrote this last one? It doesn't even make sense. Charlie, was this one yours? I told you not to write anything. You're illiterate!'
You say, 'TIME TO FIRE HIM'
Mush says 'Yeah, that's the clear choice. Write it up, boys! Thanks for the help, _____.'
For Crutchy:
You say, 'Hail, Crutchy'
Crutchy looks a bit scared as you approach and says nervously, 'Oh, hey there, _____. [What can I do for you]?'
You say, 'What can I do for you?'
Crutchy smiles and looks at his friends near him, 'Oh, you want to help us? Well that's a wonderfully pleasant surprise. We've had some trouble with [scabs getting violent] recently.'
You say, 'Scabs getting violent?'
Crutchy looks down at the floor, 'Oh, you know. Scabs are the ones coming into the factory to work while we strike. Mr. Moneybags is paying them good money. But sometimes they [hurt] us...'
You say, 'Hurt?'
Crutchy holds his arm gingerly, and you notice for the first time that his wings are really torn up, 'I wouldn't mind having a little [help] if they come back to beat us up some more.'
You say, 'I'll help'
Crutchy points to the western factory entrance and whispers, 'H-here they come now. Please help us, Slahr.'
When the scabs appear, you can just sit the whole thing out if you don't feel like fighting them. If you get aggro and can lose it, they will eventually despawn and you can hail Crutchy again for the update.
a smug scab says 'Lookie here. Little Crutchy found some friends. Pathetic.'
a striking factory worker says 'Soak 'em for Crutchy!'
a smug scab says 'Lookie here. Little Crutchy found some friends. Pathetic.'
a striking factory worker says 'Soak 'em for Crutchy!'
a smug scab says 'Lookie here. Little Crutchy found some friends. Pathetic.'
Kill or mez these mobs (mez causes them to despawn). Once they've been handled, hail Crutchy again:
You say, 'Hail, Crutchy'
Crutchy shakes his fist in the direction that the fleeing scabs ran and shouts, 'And don't you come back!'
Crutchy gives you an enthusiastic hug and says, 'Ah man, you were great, _____. Thanks for helping us out there!'
For Delancey:
You say, 'Hail, Delancey'
Delancey jumps when you speak to him. He clearly didn't see you approaching. He glances over to the group of bixies he was [staring] at and says, 'Oh, yes? What do you want?'
You say, 'Staring?'
Delancey backs away from you slightly and protests in a hushed tone, 'No! Of course I wasn't staring at them. I was just, um, well, you see... Have you ever [been in love]?'
You say, 'Been in love?'
Delancey looks very pleased with himself, 'Yes, I'm in love! That's why I'm staring at that [group of bixies]. Love!'
You say, 'What group of bixies?'
Delancey stumbles in his speech and looks around as he thinks, 'Yes, I can't be in love with all of them, can I? Well, I'm in love with [that one]!'
You say, Tthat one?'
Delancey says 'Yes, the one with the [wings].'
You say, 'Wings...'
Delancey looks very frustrated and looks around frantically. He finally snaps and starts pushing you, 'You can't tell them I'm spying for Colonel Honeybags! He pays too well!'
Kill Delancey for the update.
For Kelly:
You say, 'Hail, Kelly'
Kelly throws a piece of plant stalk at the [riot cops] on the ledge above.
You say, 'What about these riot cops?'
Kelly smiles at you and puts his arm around your shoulder as he shouts up at the riot cops playfully, 'Yeah, look at those flitter-flatterers up there! Think they're so tough with [Moneybags]!'
You say, 'Moneybags?'
Kelly laughs and says, 'Old Moneybags owns this place. You've probably seen him around before. Thinks he's better than us, flying around while we [work] on the ground.'
You say, 'Work?'
Kelly starts shouting again, 'That's right! We work ourselves to the bone while they just sit up in their fancy offices drinking honey! It's time we show them who has the real [power] here!'
You say, 'Power?'
Kelly leans into you, smiling, and asks, 'You want to have a little [fun], _____?'
You say, 'Fun?'
Kelly punches you playfully, and turn to the riot cops on the ledge and shouts, 'Hey, you! Ugly riot beaters up there! You're pathetic!'
Kelly picks up pieces of plant stalk, hands some to you and starts throwing them at the riot cops.
a riot cop says 'That does it, Kelly! You've had this coming for a long time.'
a riot cop says 'That does it, Kelly! You've had this coming for a long time.'
a riot cop says 'That does it, Kelly! You've had this coming for a long time.'
Kill the three riot cops, and hail Kelly again:
You say, 'Hail, Kelly'
Kelly laughs and puts his arm around you, 'Oh, that was brilliant, _____! We've got to tell the others about this.'
Once you've done all four mini-tasks, this step updates.
========================================================================
STEP #6
========================================================================
Kill Colonel Honeybags 0/1 (Bixie Warfront)
Task Window Says: The factory owner, Colonel Honeybags, has shown up to personally put an end to the strike once and for all. Help the striking workers by taking down Honeybags.
If You Get This Step: Upon completion of the previous step, Colonel Honeybags spawns on the side of the factory opposite its entrance. The Colonel doesn't cast any special spells, but has a significant amount of hitpoints (5-6 times that of regular zone mobs) and hits for a max ~19,000 (this is in the Level 100 version of the task; no rampage; no flurry).
Colonel Honeybags shouts across the entire factory, 'What flower-brain is causing this disruption to my production line? We have deadlines to meet!'
Colonel Honeybags has been slain by _____!
This completes the task.
=====================
Escape the factory riot and kill the approaching riot cops 0/5 (Bixie Warfront)
Task Window Says: The striking factory workers have started a riot! Get out of the factory alive, and take out the riot police approaching from the west to ensure that the rioters succeed in trashing the factory. That will ensure the hive's war machine slows down.
If You Get This Step: Kill 5x "a riot cop" to complete the task.
