Anniversary events tend to run from mid-March to mid-April (sometimes to mid-May) each year. They are not available during the "off season".

For an overview and list of EverQuest Anniversary events, see this quest entry.

This is an anniversary quest available only during anniversary season (a few weeks during March and April). It was introduced in 2009 as part of EverQuest's 10th anniversary.

This is one of 16 deity quests. For an overview of how rewards work and how these quests are linked with one another, see this writeup.

Below here are the details for this particular quest.

Helera Garet is located near the Plane of Knowledge book in North Qeynos.

You say, 'Hail, Helera Garet'

Helera Garet says 'Greetings _____. I am Helera Garet, a humble priestess of Rodcet Nife. Unlike some of the more fanatical members of my order over in the Temple of Life, who shun evil beings outright, I [view] things differently.'

You say, 'View?'

Helera Garet says 'The way I look at it, Norrath is a dangerous world, and whether you're a high elf or an orc, you cannot deny the power of Rodcet Nife. For without his wonderful gift of healing, many expeditions would have no doubt been cut short. It is because this force is so vital that Rodcet Nife could not visit in person, and must continue his unending vigil to heal the [wounded].'

You say, 'Wounded?'

Helera Garet says 'As I mentioned before, Norrath is a dangerous place, and as such, many creatures have become injured while fighting for survival. If you have a moment, I would like to ask a [favor] of you. It is a minor task, but it will show your appreciation for what Rodcet Nife and the wonderful healers of Norrath do on a daily basis.'

You say, 'Favor?'

You have been assigned the task 'Healing Touch - Rodcet Nife's Favor'.

Helera Garet says 'Thank you for undertaking this task. I shall entrust you with this item, which has the power to heal injured creatures. Please help them and return to me when you're done.'

TASK: Healing Touch - Rodcet Nife's Favor
GIVEN BY: Helera Garet, Priestess of Rodcet Nife (near PoK book in North Qeynos)
OBJECTIVE: Heal injured animals in the zones listed in the task

Use the Minor Trinket of Rodcet Nife given to you to complete the following steps:

Heal an injured rat - Qeynos Hills (found it roaming the hills around the middle of the zone)

Heal an injured skunk - Butcherblock Mountains (found near GFay zone)

Heal an injured drixie - Lesser Faydark (looks like a fae drake--found it at -817, -872)

Heal an injured drake - Crescent Reach (it was a red drake in the newbie area)

Heal an injured kodiak - Commonlands (found roaming hills in middle of zone)

Heal an injured coyote - North Ro (found around the inns closest to Freeport)

Heal an injured rockhopper - Marus Seru (found in NW corner of zone)

Heal an injured snake - Nedaria's Landing (found on a hill a bit out from the Magus)

Heal an injured alligator - Innothule Swamp (found just south of PoK book, around -580, -240)

Heal an injured scorpion - Field of Bone (found just outside of the ruins that lead toward Kaesora, loc -2060, +362)

Upon healing these NPCs, they turn into stronger versions of themselves (still non-KOS): a mighty rat; a stinky skunk; a ferocious kodiak; a carefree drixie; a feral coyote; an envenomed scorpion; a slithering snake; a majestic drake; and a stout rockhopper.

UPON COMPLETION:

Helera Garet thanks you for your assistance, and as she hands you your reward, a sudden surge of vitality empowers you. No doubt Rodcet Nife smiles upon your actions today.

Rewards:
Celebratory Fireworks Caster (only if this is the first deity task you have completed
Potion of Adventure II
Player Flags (being able to attune your fireworks to Rodcet Nife)
Platinum (varies by level: 1,800pp at level 82)
Experience
The choice between seven different distillates (scaled to level)

Since the injured animals are quest mobs, you cannot attack/kill them. I was clearing drakes in Crescent Reach when it eventually became overrun with injured drakes. I went and got the healing trinket, came back, and healed one of them. When I went to heal the next, it said it urged me to heal other types of injured creatures.

Unfortunately, I'm stuck with 20-30 of these injured drakes overcrowding the area. I wish they'd put some sort of a spawn limit on them so there'd be no more than two or three up at a time. It's not like they're that hard to respawn if they ever run out of them.

I cannot find for the life of me the Injured Rockhopper, all I see are Greyhoppers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I found the Injured Rockhopper farther in the zone. I use the 'main rock' near the entrance as my mark and went further in from there.

Not to make things too easy, but Magelo actually maps the locations where mobs are spotted: an injured Rockhopper

Finished this up tonight. I was able to heal the drixie, compared to previous posters who said it could not be healed. The "an injured alligator" in Innothule Swamp did not show up on track but are right south of the POK book as posted before.

I was offered this quest at Level 44. And IIRC it has been offered to even lower level characters.

if you are not close enough to the mob you are supposed to be healing for the task, I have discovered it would say it was healed but it wasn't till I was on top of it then it would change over and give me the task update for each time I did that.

Healing Touch - Rodcet Nife's Favor

From Helera Garet in North Qeynos, near PoK book on wall.

2) An Injured Skunk (Butcherblock) (near Wayfarer Camp) (becomes a Stinky Skunk)
3) An Injured Drixie (Lesser Faydark) (mid south of zone) (becomes a Carefree Drixie)
4) An Injured Drake (Crescent Reach) (along waterway, changed to a Majestic Drake)
5) An Injured Kodiak (Commonlands) (near mid-zone near the Inn on a hillside) (became a Ferocious Kodiak)
6) An Injured Coyote (North Ro) (near Freeport, becomes a Feral Coyote)
7) An Injured Rockhopper (Marus Seru) (northeast area) (becomes a Stout Rockhopper)
8) An Injured Snake (Nedaria) (south past docks) (becomes a Slithering Snake)
9) An Injured Alligator (Innothule) (near PoK book) (becomes a Wild Alligator)
10) An Injured Scorpion (Field of Bone) (near Kaesora) (becomes an Envenomed Scorpion)
11) Hail Helera (N. Qeynos) (You can dump the clicky now)
