You say, 'Hail, Kaya Cloudfoot'

Kaya Cloudfoot says 'A pleasure to make your acquaintance Haebbeni. I am Kaya Cloudfoot, first Paladin of the Storm Reapers. I traveled long ago when I was just a wee sprout to the city of Qeynos far to the west. It was there I grew under the tutelage of the Knights of Thunder, a noble order of paladins loyal to Karana, the Storm Lord. I have returned now to Rivervale to teach interested young halflings the ways of a Knight of the Storm Reapers so that we may defend Karanas people and lands from the [evil forces] that would see it destroyed. '

You say, 'What evil forces'

Kaya Cloudfoot says 'There are many problems and creatures that trouble Karanas people through out Norrath and threaten our otherwise peaceful ways of life. Our common folk here in Rivervale are troubled by the wicked Teir`Dal, the Death Fist Orcs, and the Goblins of Clan Runnyeye and Pickclaw. It is the calling and duty of a Knight of the Storm Reapers to defend the common folk from these enemies of Rivervale. Are you willing to [defend the commoners]? '

You say, 'I will defend the commoners'

Kaya Cloudfoot says 'You have made an honorable decision, Haebbeni. First you will need to be outfitted in a suit of armor to protect you from the weapons of our foes. Seek Jimji Bottletoe here in Rivervale and give him this letter. Jimji will instruct you further on acquiring a suit of armor worthy of a new Knight of the Storm Reapers. When you have been outfitted in your Bravefoot Armor return to me and I shall prepare you for your [next task]. '

Your Location is -254.84, -114.60, -17.81

Give the note to Jimji Bottletoe

Jimji Bottletoe says 'Pleased to meet you Haebbeni! You must be one of Kayas new trainees. Kaya has asked me to help get you outfitted in a suit of armor to protect you from the vile weapons of Rivervales foes. I have assembled a kit for you that will allow you to construct the armor pieces once you have gathered the necessary components. The required components vary according to which piece of Bravefoot Mail armor you are planning on assembling. Do you wish to craft a [bravefoot helm], a [bravefoot mail bracer], [bravefoot gauntlets], [bravefoot mail boots], [bravefoot vambraces], [bravefoot greaves], or a [bravefoot breastplate]. '

You say, 'I wish to craft a bravefoot helm'

Jimji Bottletoe says 'To assemble a Bravefoot Helm you will need to obtain two bricks of crude iron ore and smelt them in a [forge] with a Water Flask and this Crude Helm Mold. Once that is done combine the Crude Iron Helm with a Ruined Wolf Pelt and a Large Yellowjacket Tergite in the Mail Assembly Kit. '

Large Yellowjackets
# Oct 15 2002 at 2:01 AM Rating: Decent
Just so everyone knows, there are three large yellowjackets that spawn. I have no idea the loc or how long after all three are killed to respawn. All i know is after three days of looking seen three and all three did not drop any of the required pieces. If this is Verents idea of Noobie quest armor, i hate to see the higher lvl armor quest available. These quests are almost impossible to complete.
HOW MANY LARGE YJ ARE THERE?

Crude iron ore is not uncommon , it drops from the goblins near the runny eye entrance and outta every 5 gobs ived killed at least 3 had it on them. Also you cant buy it from the merchants, they sell regular ore for smithing! Anywayz the stupid Large yellowjackets are a rare spawn -- heard they spawn every 2 hrs and they seriously dont drop what you want when you want it. I was on for 3 days straight and got off for 20min -- 2 terites dropped back to back and i only needed one / VERANT get your act together and make em spawn as much as the Giant Yellowjackets for all us halflings sake!
Drops

The crude iron will drop off any of the Goblins on the higher level side of the wall. The roaming Goblin warriors seem to have a good drop rate about 1 in 4 will have a block of ore.

You need a LARGE (not giant) YellowJacket drop. The Large Yellow jackets spawn in the lower end newbe side. They are simi-rare. I've find about 3 a hour. All 3 will spawn at once, and you may not get anything of from any of them.

I run back and forth on the path between RiverVale and the wall.

I belive the large Yellowjackets are not spawning they way that should and I hope something is done soon. Untill you'll spend allot of time waiting for large yellowjackets.

Best of luck

I believe that ther is a deffinate difference between "large yellowjackets" and "Gian Yellojackets". I killed a whole mess of giant ones to no avail. Just thought i'd say that.

The crude iron ore drops of goblins. It is an uncommon drop so be prepared to kill a few before you can start going "Whoopie". I have however seen quite a bit of the ore on Riverdale Merchants, I guess when people cant give it away they sell it rather than destroy it knowing its a quest item.

With the drops from the wasps and spiders you must note if it asks for a "Large" or "Giant" object as large objects drop off the large mob and giant off giant. Make sure you give the zone a /ooc or /shout for what part you need as most people in the zone will start to give /locs of the no-drop items that they cant use.

You can also get crude iron ore from merchants some of the time or you could go to PoK and get a port to qeynos to buys all your crude iron ore
Large Yellowjackets

Is there someway to get the large yellowjackets to spawn? I have been able to find some and it seems that there are only 3 large yellowjackets that spawn. These 3 spots are all on the newbie side of the wall. Does anyone know how to get them to spawn more often or if there is a trigger? I only need the tergite and sternite to finish my set of pally armor.

Thanks
