When handing the necklace to Leraena, she gives back "Odd Bronze Necklace" (identify: Greater Symbol of Rolfron Zek), which you can't give to Glyssa. Plenty reported it here. Nice. Still not fixed, for the ONLY quest that raises Deepmuses.

Yes, same problem here. Leraena is giving back the wrong necklace - can't continue the quest.

There is a TON of stuff in old world that they broke over the years, progression is going to be a joke.

when handing in items to Glyssa in Freeport, Opal Dark Briar faction goes down. It is only a 1 point downward adjustment. Same for The Freeport Militia. just 1 point lowered. I know this because after doing 12 of these tasks, it only took 6 sets of fire beetle eyes to Xelha ( at 2 points each set) to max out. and 12 inert potion hails to Slansin in Erudin to max the Militia.

yep made it to amiable. after 20 more hand inss i figured out amiable for this faction is 800 point span. because if i use collaboration i get to kindly. still working on maxxing out.

oh wow. another 7 weeks and I made ally. so much time spent on this. Warmly was 70 tasks. Kindly was 50. Now I have to see just how far into ally I have to go to max.

Another edit. I maxxed faction! 130 tasks past ally. 1300 points. this almost gives me the entire span. now to go back and fix other factions and deal with the peldulum effect and dampen out the reverberations and get them all back to max.

7 of the last 22 hand ins resulted in gettign back an odd bronze necklace rather than the odd cold iron necklace needed to continue the quest. I have petitioned, we shall see what response I get. Over 9 years since first bug posted about this. Horrible method to raise Deep Muse, but there really isnt anything else.

update / edit : A gm returned the 7 lost necks. i went and farmed up more. had 39 to hand in of which 22 failed to be returned properly by the NPC's. I /bugged several of the hand ins and kept times of hand ins. i reported those 22. took 5 days but I got those replaced as well. Now I am doing another set of hand ins. I have determined that each quest raised Deep Muse faction by 10 points. I am still dubious, but with collaboration and racial adjustement on illusion, It took 20 turn ins to go through indifferently. So this is a long term project.

update / edit #2: wow. just wow. the last 29 I handed in yesterday resulted in 16 odd bronze items returned. I sent in another petition. the response was :

This is GM Technite with Sony Online Entertainment. Thank you for contacting our customer service department and my apologies for the recent difficulties you're experiencing. I have spoken with a member of the development team in regards to this quest and was told that it was fixed some time ago. There is now, by design, a random chance to receive the Odd Bronze instead of the Odd Cold Necklaces...I do apologize for this inconvenience but this system is currently working as intended.

Isnt that great? Instead of actually fixing it, they now have the task adjusted so the way it works is whats now considered "intended". They forgot to change any of the wording and the npc's still say that you get back the odd cold iron neck, but sure its working as intended.

Keep all the Cold Iroin Necklace's that you find as there is a bug ( which I have reported ) with the hand-in's. The second part of this quest needs Odd Bronze necklaces you will find from the Lesser Shaman in Stoneblunt, just canp the tents south on your map, and they are a regular drop ( a couple of hours should do it )Everything else is very staight forward for the Quelliouus Regent. The Kobold Missionary will spawn bang on 10PM (not am). Loc Neg1858 Neg107, behind the large cog to the left of the Minotar caves.

Or you can kill the named high shaman in the Warrens for the Odd Cold Iron Necklace.

I did a mistake, i dident say "I am ready to deal with the greater kobold shaman" to Leranea at beginning before giving her the Odd Cold Iron Necklace but.. not remember surely i dident say anything.

I Finished the Regent Symbol of Quellious quest this week.

I had the Disciple Symbol of Quellious from collecting the 8 Odd Bronze Necklaces and had 1 Odd Cold Iron Necklace. So i told to Leranea : "I am ready to deal with the greater kobold shaman", she told me to give here 1 Odd Cold Iron Necklace, give her the necklace and got in return A Sealed Note and .... a Odd Bronze Necklace lol instead of the Odd Cold Iron Necklace wich is needed for the next part of the quest (have see my error in freeport as i gave the Sealed Note + Odd Bronze Necklace to Glyssa Sonshaw).
So the correct way to do is :
to have 3 Odd Cold Iron Necklace.

Give 1 to Leranea in Erudin City, she give you in return A Sealed Note + Odd Bronze Necklace(wich is useless then)

Go to Freeport at Mage Guild, under bridge There is Glyssa Sonshaw, give her the A Sealed Note + 1 Odd Cold Iron Necklace, she give you in return A Sealed Note + Odd Bronze Necklace(useless too).

Go to Akhanon and talk to Drigaz Grumblegrowl the friendly Kobold at bar, give him the A Sealed Note and 1 Odd Cold Iron Necklace, he give you in return A Hieroglyph Translator and tell you to seek the Kobold Missionary wich spawn neer Minotaur cave.

Kill the Kobold Missionary, loot the Encrypted Document.

Go to Erudin City and give to Leranea : A Hieroglyph Translator, An Encrypted Document, your Disciple Symbol of Quellious (take care, Disciple, NOT Initiate), she will reward you with the Regent Symbol of Quellious : AC7 NECK WIS+3 CHA+2 MANA+15 Effect Calm NO DROP

A long long quest... reward is nice at level 25 : +7AC and +3WIS +15 mana is welcome. There are certainly more powerfull items to have, but you have to pay for it.

Glyssa returned not Odd cold Iron I handed but Odd bronz Neckless...

Greater Shamen never drop Odd Bronz as before, and now they dont drop Odd Cold Iron too. Whenever GM try to fix ,this Quests was brocken somewhere.

Greater Shamen are not dropping bronze symbols. At least not on Vazaelle

They are only dropping the same neklace as the High shaman

Is this quest working on other servers?

And I am also refereing to the Diciple quest because without the diciple symbol you can not finish this one

I had to be one of the first people to do this quest as I hardly ever leave Erudin, and as a cleric of Quellious with a new zone I checked out my church almost immediatly.

Of course I did this quest in Warrens before the 'trivial' rule was lifted. Which means at level 45 my cleric was too high to even attempt to gain the necklaces off the lesser/greater/ and even high shaman. Not only that I was the first to do the stupid quest on my server (rodcet knife) so of course it was bugged <sigh>

I spent FOREVER gathering the necklaces, pling newbees to get a chance to loot the stupid things then having to use a level 14 sk of my own to try to take down the High shaman with the pling help of a druid friend of mine. In the end...the necklace was better then what I had but honestly the quest was much to hard for what it was supposed to do...at least now you can be high level and do the quest, which was my biggest upset.

I can find any odd bronze neckless, only thing i have found on the greater kobold shamans in warrens is the same thing that drops of High Shaman Drogi, odd cold iron neckless. Is ther a trick or something to get them to drop the Bronze neckless?

The quests have excisted for like 12 months.
Btw, the Kobold Missionary is level 26 caster, and spawns at 6-10 AM. I have watched him spawn. He spawns slightly after the Giant spider thats level 22 (I think).
