Killing Aque Goblins in Buthcher Block has a Faction hit of + Emerald Warrior, Stormguard, Gem Choppers -Riptide Goblins.
Killing Steamfont Kobolds NO LONGER gives positive faction for Gem Choppers. (At least
in the two camps closest to Ak'Anon) In fact they
have no faction at all, remain indifferent and are NOT even social other than the Kobold Shaman will heal any Kobolds you are fighting. No adds, decent xp/loot...a bit different to level a gnome these days.

Another way to raise faction with the Gemchoppers is to kill kobolds in Steamfont. They now stand on a faction named as Clan Grikbar and betters the faction with the Gemchoppers.

There's a gnome in jail in the Erudin Palace. Keep giving him Vasty Deep Ales from the tavern in the city and he'll raise factions with Gemchoppers and merchants, plus lower faction with the evil guilds. The quest is listed in the quests in Erudin.
The prisoner goes by the name of Shondo Billin.

You can also raise your faction by killing the Brownie Outcasts in Lesser Faydark. They spawn around the tower surrounded by Pixies. Pixies are place holders for them.
If you can get close enough to renton benclog the gnome mage in crush bone with out agroing him, you can free him by giving him key 15 looted off an orc slaver

Is there another way to raise faction with Gemchoppers really quick?

a good way to get gemchopper faction quickly is to go to steamfont mountains, and then to the minotaur caves. You can do one of two things:
1) kill mino slavers, or whatever your lvl will permit - this does have a lot of down time though
2) wait until other people are around killing mino's, etc (hero, meldrath and guards are semi heavily camped). Wait for people to start fighting and cast something on them (any sort of buff) or try to hit the mob they are fighting. If you wait a few seconds into the battle before doing this, the mob will not aggro on you but you will still take faction modification. So even without killing anything, your gemchopper faction will skyrocket :)

You also get good faction with the GemChoppers and bad faction with Meldrath for killing either A Minotaur Slaver, Minotaur Slaver, Minotaur Lord, Minotaur Hero, Minotaur Sentry, Minotaur Guard, Meldrath, or Meldrath's Pet.
