an explorer  

These guys vary in level. Monday Evening I passed by with my (then) level 18 Monk. Conned one and it was Red. (Which indicates they can go at least as high as 21)

Last night passing through, I conned one and it was Dark Blue to my (now) level 19 Monk. Which puts a lower limit of at least 18.

It should be noted that handing in explorer knives to Trooper Vaurk gives the same faction hits as the bone chip quest in Field of Bone; But by my best estimation, one knife gives about the same faction as 100 bone chips.

If these guys are Barbs why the hell would I get bad Emerald Warrior and Firiona Vie faction by killing them? I'm a WE Ranger considering raising my Legion of Cab faction to dubious by killing iksar bandits and then handing in the knives to Vaurk, but I see that I'd get bad faction with my brethren if I did...what the hell? I'd expect to get bad Barb faction, not WE..

Bah, level 29... I was in LOIO with my 18 Necro, going ta Cabilis. These barb explorers came out of some building on the way to Cab, 4 of them.... all yellow. Forgot about FD (DOH!) so after running around the lake once they caught me (I was a tad lost...)

I camped the ruin for about one hour and a half. Only two lead explorers spawned at all. And no locket dropped from them. Only some regular pieces of chain armor (ranging for 6 to 12 in AC). Also, trooper Vaurk seems to be in a meditative mood...but his med spot his high above ground on the platform over the pillars...
Petitioned and guide told me that it'd be fixed...Trooper despawned and 15 mins later...wasn'there..

The levels is wrong these guys con green to my 30 wizard and drk blue to my 23 iksar sk and they also apear to all be of the high elf race didnt see any casters when me and my pet killed 4 of them before the last 3 took me down to 10 hp. I harm touched the fith and ran like heck got healed by a passing druid and i wiped out te last two good exp and nice neck slot loot form leader too bad the unseen passing sarnak and the charbone wasted me right after that still had item but lost the exp i had just gained lol sh@t happens

I was heading to Cabilis from DL the other day and got distracted chattin' with a friend and wound up at the empty? tower in LOIO and was suprised to see about a dozen very pale looking "Explorers" exploring my scaley tail without asking first! I proceeded to play "Whack a Mole" with them til the "Lead Explorer" LOH himself and REALLY PISSED ME OFF...He saw my scowl and puked up his locket:

Neck Slot AC 6 +3WIS +3INT +3AGI All/All

I thanked him heartily and waited til he respawned. When he noticed me hangin out he squeaked and squeezed out another locket for my Monk to log in and loot! What a gentleman.

One of these was walking out from cab zone in illomen today. Conned blue to my 23 monk. Went down pretty easy couln't see any faction messages because of the text bug. Droped a lore no drop knife. (named an explorers survial knife or something to that effect) Anyone else seen this or know what its for?

Also, they have the tendency to be able to see through invis, so if you are a hostile race, avoid the pilgrims and explorers. (found out from personal experience unfortunately)
