On the progression servers it's not easy to find drops of armour for trolls. Using the equipment search in allak would help me locate good armour and zones to hunt for it. However, this isn't quite working out. As at this date, this item shows as 'Updated' so one would think it would be fairly accurate. Based on my equipment search I went from fob to unrest (which in the kunark era is a lot of travel), only to find that the drops do NOT fit trolls.
I checked my search - I seek armour for trolls and get this item. Lucy's entry clears it up. It does not fit trolls, even though the updated allak shows that it does.
Perhaps when items are updated, checks can be made against the lucy entry to confirm details are actually correct?

Just and fyi, channhin seghdra sells this and other ringmail/chainmail/and iron armor in abysmal sea.

Please please do NOT buy ringmail! mages need it for concordance research and it can never be found once spotted at a merchant! Why? to attempt to increase research skills, say 5 points? you need 10 NON-STACKABLE items as well as gems, and 5 non-stackable parchement, and even then only for the beza runes (combined with azia to make one rune and increase research skill) Dont wear it, dont buy it, but sell it to merchants whenever you can! Smithed armor is better, and cheaper! chainmail is better! it is so hard to find and almost impossible to track down if you already have 5 of the first ingredients for beza runes!
Lvl 6 Erudite Paladins get this for free by completeing the molar quest!

STFU! some people might like this armor till they get better armor. me personaly i rather have this over bronze armor. yes bronze has better ac but also its to heavy for some classes, i rather sacrifice some armor so i can carry more loot.
