i have absolutely no idea how this happened but i soloed this guy at level 15, and he conned blue. . .

allright I know I'll take lost of static from this but here it is:
I've been hanging out in befallen for the past 2 weeks real time (I'm on vacation so been logging alot of time, about 12 hours a day).
I've now killed gynok 20 some times.
and I'm here to tell you whats going on with his spawn.

In the first place he has multiple spawn points. only one of those is near the entrance.
so when you kill that wondering skel there is a chance he pops up top. but there are 2 other spawn pointsd on the the third floor. and if they are free its an insta pop. He then soawns on the thrid floor and wanders up the stairs. when he gets to the pit (stone stairs with spikes underthem) he despawns.
Thats why I've been able to kill him so much.

I'm currently selling platring for 300plat. (copper is only 200). lauran on seventh hammer.

Last morning, afternoon, and night i camped Gynok. I started camping him at 5am on Tues. morn and logged off at 11:30 pm on Tues. Thats 18 1/2 hours!! I eventually had to log off because i got sick. But get this, the next spawn after i logged was Gynok!!! WTF. If a guild member hadnt been there after i logged, i might not have a plat ring right now. BTW it is a completly random spawn. No tricks. A GM told me this. Just kill his ph's at the zone border. GOOD LUCK!

where abouts in befallen does this guy actually spawn?

Mez was waiting ta bonk dis guy but he nevr came. So mez says, "Dis Gynok isnt coming to be bashed, who told him i was dere?" and da GMz says "Hez beeN rezently tAkIng out'nd will b put bak ShOrtLy" so mez says to dim" Dats not fair, mez been waItiNg For dis guy fOr over 9hourZ and hes been taKinG out!" so iz storm off tO kill DoRn =).
So youz see where dis gUy has bEen! On hOliDay wif his palz, Bah i sayz!

Well, It took me three full nights, but I did finally get the plat ring. He spawned a total of four times for me, once with nothing, once with the plat, and twice with the copper.

before I statred the paw quest I did a little research or various sites, and apparently Gynok's placeholder spawns once every 17 minutes on the little bone in the corner right by the entrance to Befallen. The placeholder then begins walking down to the 3rd floor and back up to the span point where it will start the circuit again.

The reason this camp is such a pain is that it is random. Essentially it's alll luck as to whether he spawns or not, as each time you kill a place holder it is a 3% chance that he will be the next to spawn.
He can drop any of the rings, and I've even heard of him dropping more than one at once. Once he spawnd, be sure to get him before he starts heading down to the third floor because as soon as he gets there he will despawn.

his placeholders can be anything in the range of skeletons, rats and ghouls.

Where in Befallen does this guy spawn? I remember camping Babbinsport for hours on end and I never saw any mention of this Moltor guy. Of course I'm not an avid Befallen camper :) Not yet anyway!

I'm working on the paw quest. I usually port to WC and check out Befallen to see if it's camped for the Plat ring. Usually it is. If not I stick around for 30 min to an hour hoping for Gynok to spawn. Well recently I met someone who camped him for 16 hours over a two day period without a single spawn!! This guy petitioned a GM to ask if it was broken. The GM said no. The guy camped a third day for 4 more hours and no spawn. He petitioned again. This time the GM told him there were 4 place holders on the first floor you must kill for Gynok to spawn not just two by the entrace. So this guy buffs and heals some newbies and they keep the first floor clear. Sure enough Gynok spawns and he gets the ring. Super I say. I go the following day and as usual the ring is camped. I tell the guy camping him about the 4 place holders. I figure the faster he gets the ring the sooner I can get the camp. I proceed to clear the floor for him while he waits by the door. Again I want the camp :-). Sure enough within 20 minutes Gynok spawns YEAH!! Well this guy (lvl 30 druid I think) shouts Forgot to mem my spells help!! He then shouts don't kill him, zoning to mem spells and he zones out. Ok I think and I continue smashing skellies and rats (I was bored). Then Gynok comes after me!! I did not go for him. I have my spells mem'd and proceed to kill him. He took half my HP's and did not have the plat ring. In fact he had NO RING :-(, just a couple of plat, rusty weapon, and cloth armor. Well the druid zoned back and shouts who killed him. Someone told him I did. The guy demands I give him the plat ring it's a guaranteed drop!! First off it's not a sure drop as I did not get it. Second why the hell should he think he has a right to the ring. He is the one who did not have the proper spells memed and zoned. It's not like he was fighting it and I came up and stole the kill by outdamaging him. He zoned and I was attacked. I just want others opinion. If the plat ring had droped would you have given it to him?? Would you have even killed Gynok?? Maybe I should have zoned?? Anyway, I was pissed at the guy so I left him to clear the floor for himself. He got some newbs and healed & buffed them while they cleared the first floor. Sure enough within 20 minutes Gynok spawns, he gets the kill and plat ring. I know this cause he kept pestering me via tell as to weather I really did not get the ring and told me when Gynok respawned. I congradulate him and say I'm on may way there for the camp. He then says sorry, its taken and informs me he's heading to EC to auction the ring for 1k plats but would gladly sell it to me!! AAAARRRRGGGHHHHH!!! Here I actually congradulated a damn farmer!! I came back to Befallen anyway. There were in fact two people there for Gynok. They did not stay very long though and after about an hour of camping I got Gynok to spawn and he had the plat ring this time. Now I just need to camp guk for the Copper & gold ring components :-(. To bad the stupid greenies in that Mutant room want to agro me!! Guess I will need some guild help there. Wish me luck!!

i read this (my highest character is lv13 mage) and its funny to read this. Why? Cause most of u r quarawling about camp not camp, my camp, your camp his camp. How i see it as newbie (that means i will need a very very long time to be able to buy some nice items for 10s of thousands pp, or get them on my own, or be able to earn money with trading skills, cause most high lv can make all items cheaper then me) and i also make quests. I make quests that r for me (the most quests are not for casters)and i make quests that r not for me. And when i see the item i get some money for it. When someone is interesting to pay much, he pays much.
But why i post here. I think this is a game, in fantasy world, and this world is big. So if i cant fight something, cause others came before me there i have 3 possibilities:

1. first the best one, i go, and do something other else, other quest, hunt for experience or loot, or learn my skills and try it later again, cause im interesting to get the item and use it.

2. second also good one, when i realy want to get this item, i sit down and practice my skills, or chat with friends, and wait till the ppl give me the camp.

3. the bad one, i get angry to the people cause: may be they have done this many times and dont let me do mine, or

they r not the class that can use it, so they can make cash with it, like me, after i got my first one, and now i want to make my second one and make cash with it, or

they r not the class that can use it, and i am, and i want it for my second, third character, or guild mates, from whom i get also something nice for it

But may be the magician camping it, makes it for his druid, who sells it for good cash, cause he has allready one.
But may be u the druid make it now your 2-10th time, cause u sold yours, and u need one, to be able to get this item, to use it on your own.


So ppl i think, its not worth to aggro other ppl about camping some spawn. Go and camp some other spawn. And other will be aggro on u.
