Great pets.

Could someone please instruct me on how to get to the area where these boars are, please? I see some posts say "pen," where is it? I am semi-familiar with zone - have raided it a couple times. As far as solo exploration, I've gone from the zone in, out to the level overlooking a pit. To the right of this level, there is a large room with a hallway that eventually leads to a series of staircases heading down into what I imagine would be considered first level or basement (The first area you enter after getting off these staircases resembles a kind of mess hall. There are several benched tables with various mobs standing by them.) Beyond this point, I have seldom explored alone because on frequent occasion there will be a war wraith or a torment that will see through my camo.

The reason I am so interested is because a couple days ago, I went into Drunder to see if I could solo. I'm becoming so saturated by Halls of Honor, that I'm willing to give this foolish idea a chance. As soon as I zoned in, "a Diaku Boar" and two "Diaku Sentry" aggro-ed on me. The only explanation I have is that someone ran into trouble and dashed for the exit -- and in this process the pathing for these three mobs was messed up. I popped Spirit of the Wood so I could be healed while running away and I noticed the staircase *really* impairs their movement speed. I was able to root everything fairly quickly because of a levitational advantage, and that is when I charmed the boar and discovered what a great pet it made. Using Glamour, it was very well-behaved. Few pre-mature charm-breaks, and considerable damage.

For the next couple of hours I did nothing but pull with epic dot, snare on inc, and keep snaring as soon as the gem refreshes to maintain agro while the boar beat on the mobs from behind. Agro kiting on the zone-in staircase was highly effective and mobs went down fast, really fast. I got so comfortable with this boar, in fact, that I never bothered snaring after initial experimentation. If charm broke, I would use the level 61 root (1-minute duration max) on both my servant as well as my enemy and used the time to re-glam and re-charm.

I really enjoyed the challenge, so if someone could please post some simple directions on where to find these boars normally, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Druid Charm: Go to pens, and tuck yourself high on left pen wall in corner. Cast CoT on pig. One of two things occurs: 1) charm sticks and other pig agros. Put charmed pig on other, snare root, heal, dot and nuke other to death. Then AA Camo, root pet pig, snare, mr debuff and recharm. 2) charm doesn't stick and you run with two unsnared pigs on your a$$ plus adds all the way to the zone out stone.
I have had CoT stick three of four attempts with 168 Cha.

These are indeed charmable . BUT they can be pretty tough to get cause if they resist atleast 2-3 boars are after you.... best Tactic is if u are charming from the 2 in first pen to left when u enter that stable root them both and ensnare then charm one and have him fight the other to death. Never tried b4 but im gonna =D
