Aye, most items like this are vendor trash, though a few are for quests (though normaly they are either nondrop or lore).
So can anyone shed some light on what this item is used for? Presumably some quest, but what is it, and what's the reward?
Many PoP mobs don't drop very much in the way of cash - but SOE didn't want to leave the expansion entirely without income for players hunting there. From Tier 1 all the way up, there are an amazing number of items whose sole purpose is to act as the "cash loot" for the area. Unless some quest comes to light that would indicate otherwise, this is simply one of those vendor-destined drops.

It coulld be it's just merchant food. Alot of PoP drops are that. Usually stuff that sells for low money to a merchant though has another use...not for sure tho.
