Does this item still drop off the above mobs? Seems too good to be true that this drops off a level 55-58!
2 of those 3 level 55 mobs Death Touch every 30 seconds. =) They are all on a 3 day spawn, the adds in the zone are heavy, and they usually die within hours of spawning due to heavy camping for the AON

Ok, there are not many dropable Burning Aff III items in the game, but c'mon, 50K+ for this? Stats are not great by any means, no int, wis, resists, etc. HP and Mana is nice, but far from spectacular.
The new magician summoned bracelets, Rallican's Iron and Rallican's Steel, are Burning Aff III & IV. Most mages summon them for free or for a small donation and they are always on sale in the bazaar for a few pp. Only pain is you gotta get one every time u log on, but I'm always going to POK or Nexus for C3, Virtue, etc. (never hunt w/o Virtue). So having to find a mage to summon this for me is not that bad. Better than paying 60k anyway.
P.S. Ceramic shackles (Burn Aff IV) have crap stats and sell for about as much as this belt at the moment, but these are crafted and like all the ceramic crafted items, the price will keep falling. I wouldn't dare pay the going rate for this belt or these shackles right know. I'll stick w/ summoned bracelets till the price drops alot.

I play a 61 NEC on 7th hammer, and if I had the plat, I would pay it for this item. The effect is available from a mage-summoned item, but when you can't get that it really sucks. This adds 10% to all dot dmg, which if you're not in a vastly overpowered group, is a necro's most efficient way of doing damage.
At 65 you get a better dot than the level 60 Funeral Pyre, but not until then. At 62 (or is it 63?) you get an upgrade to your lifetap dot, but that's not a terribly mana-efficient line, and you tend not to cast it every combat anyway. The 61 Dark Plague is only efficient in 2+ minute fights.
So, if you're casting, say, Funeral Pyre plus Asystole or Ebolt, this adds 10% damage (average since it ranges between 0 and 20% per tick) free of charge. Combined with Extended Range, Affliction Efficiency and Affliction Haste, your ability to agro kite is rather sickening. This item is pretty much directly translatable to a boost in exp/time.

75hp/mana, 7 sta=awesome for necros and shaman as it is, easily worth 5-10k depending on server without the BA3. INT/WIS means crap, easy to get good INT/WIS gear. The shackles require a drop from Plane of Torment, which is vacant 90% of the time, meaning their price will not decline very quickly.

new effect on this is burning affliction makes dots do more damage instread of last longer. sells for 990k on 7th hammer no thankx will wait and get my own

The effect does not make DoTs last longer anymore, it makes them more do more damage.

My only question now is when new pacth comes out on 9th this baby will raise in price!! To my knowlege this time is one of few thats dropable that will change to this weeks patch!!! AND YAY for the new effect!!!!!!!

Saw one on sale for 23,000 pp in the Veeshan bazaar. IMHO, well worth the price.
Hey It may only effect DOT's now but heck the longer the DOT the more the damage still ranks great in my book.

affliction foci were fixed in a recent patch because affliction foci had HUGE percent increases. Affliction foci now *ONLY* effect dots. They do not effect roots, debuffs, slows, mezzes, yaulps, heals, etc ONLY dots.

Just paid 40K to get good stats AND EXT. AFFLICTION 111. Found effect changed to "Brittle Haste 111". What a rip off by Verant, and prolly the guy I bought it from. Why in the hell would I want to Haste the mob I'm trying to kill? This makes no sense whatsoever. Since the effect is innate and permament every mob I fight will be 20% faster unless I take this off and let my pantaloons fall down.
Does the Effect affect the mob? By the name ("Brittle Haste") it sounds like it affects you, that is, it poisons and debuffs you while making you faster, thus making you brittle but faster.
Also, how did the guy who sold it to you rip you off? Didn't you look at it before pressing "Trade" (or "Buy" if he was in trader mode)? That'd be your own fault. Caveat emptor.

HA, thats what ya got for being a 21st lvl freaking twink!
The focus effect on the belt also extends the Celestial Healing/Elixer line of spells, as well as the Yaulp and Mark of Karn/Retribution spells. I'm not sure how much that translates in the additional hitpoints healed, but it's definately nice.

Alright everyone, just to let you all know, this item is NO longer as pimp as before.
Its stats are pretty uber, but I hear this still sells for 50k on some servers, I'm just going to inform you people from the less-fortunate servers of a God-sent:
Coldain Military Bracer
As a 47 shaman, it takes me about an hour to do this quest (though you need someone with good Kael and Thurg faction, so you have to run a lvl 1 ogre/troll of Rallos Zek diety to Velious).
Stats on the bracer:
10ac 5str 6wis 5svc 5svm
EXTENDED AFFLICTION:3
This quest has been basically forgotten, because when it was first made, the quest was bugged. They fixed the bug without telling anyone.
Now on Druzzil Ro, every third necro/druid/shaman has one of these.
----note: read the whole post, I blab a lot about nothing, but at the VERY least, scroll down to the bottom and read the message there, if you're going to do the quest or if you're going to sell it, doesn't matter which)-----------------------

Since this page will probably not get visited all that often, this info will still be relativly secret (Don't go blabbing to your friends about it..for your own sake)
On Druzzil Ro, I've made aprox. 40k cash from selling this as a MQ. No, wait, I'm a dead liar. It has to be more around 70k.
I'm not sure how to best sell it, but I started by selling it for 3k, then moved to 4k after about a month. With, of course, warning that i was going to do that (/boost sales)
If I could do it all over again, I think I would start by selling it higher. A LOT higher. I could have easily netted 10k for this item before my server caught on (not that i was doing anything bad, but a good number of people didn't know how easy it is to get these). Had I done that, I don't think I'd be having to do this quest still.
But alas, I MUST get my Kunark BP (wearing Emerald Dragonscale BP right now (20wis), but I'm tired of looking like a Neon Hulk - and Kunark BPs come with a touch of bragging rights~), my Obulus Death Shroud, my Raptor Hide Cap, and my Prelate's Lantern. (Was forced to sell my old lantern because I couldn't use it yet at 47...aww..how sad~ Same goes for Raptor Hide Cap, so be ware...ohh, and if yer a Shaman, get a Raptor Hide Cap, if you don't, it's because you're a moron - or of course just extremely uber~)
Soon I plan to raise my price to 5k for the bracer, simply because I am already rich enough right now (At this point it costs 10k to improve one piece of gear...) so it's time to lvl.
This thing will sell fast at times, and slow at times. ALWAYS be prepared to have to sell a lot of them - I've lost a lot of business that way...if I don't do the quest asap, they look into it and realize it's EASY. To do this, get your mule to have all possible parts of the quest on him: Harness, Giant Harness, Giant Gem, norm Gem, Bottle of Acid, and possibly even a Sceptre from the queen (although the bottles are usually very easy to collect, more so then the queen).
ONLY thing about the quest that you have to worry about, is questions. People will ask questions about it. No, not how much it costs, but smarter questions...the questions that ***** you over.
Most of my money-making went away when I answered one of these questions because of insesint nagging. He asked a chain of questions, but the ONE question you MUST not answer is how much money you have made doing the quest. I answered that question, and he began to sell its MQ too. That Capatilist *******. I should have made a patent while I still could~ Anyways, he totally screwed things up on my server by selling it for 250pp less then I did at all times...ran its price down to 1k. How gay is that? Yeah, really gay; 1k is chump change. I pay 1k a week for KEIs and ports. Anyways, point is: do NOT let the other person know how much money you've made. If they must know, lie. Just dead lie. Tell them not much, thing sells slow..about 8k or so...tell them you rarely sell it for the full X price, but are usually haggled down to 500pp or so.
Only problem with this is all the noobs in this game. So many of them will do ANYTHING for 500pp that it's pathetic. Hell, when my main was lvl 30 and I was untwinked I had 20k. Its all those noobs out there you have to watch out for.
Second question not to answer is "How hard is the quest" and questions about the quest. Once again, I just lie. I say the quest takes me 6 hours to do (well, the first time, if we count time for getting KEI, ports, making alt char, porting alt char to GD, finishing the quest (with a 30 minute CR in there for something) I guess it COULD have taken me 6 hours. But no way in Hell is this noob going to know it only takes me half an hour now. Stupid noob.), and when they ask for specifics, I either don't tell them, or I lie to them. They might ask what lvl you have to be to do the quest, and I'll ask if they can solo a lvl 50 dorf. Don't answer a question with a statement, if you do you're likely to be called a liar. Knowsow doesn't lie.

I know the bug I found is my secret, and I'm sure you'll find it to, with enough patience. But don't /bug it, or it will be changed and someone will have to be killed. I have had said bracer on my Druid since L25 or so and I have yet to give it up, And why would I?
Even with the Part-nerf, that being it only works on true DoTs now, it still is better than most bracer I have seen.

1) I play on RZ and only wear No Drop gear
2) I don't play in a guild and solo 95% of the time.

You sir, don't have a clue what you're talking about. It wasn't pointless, at least the beginning wasn't. The rest was. Anyways, Yeah, The Coldain bracer is nice, but what you fail to see on the girdle is 75hp/75mana. Name another non-Ssra/VT belt with 75hp AND 75mana.
Flatsnap, why would a Wizard or Mage come before a Necro?
Just a courious as to your logic..DOT's are a necro's specialty, and also snaring with darkness line.

Ermmm, improved damage item.
And actually extended affliction is an extension on Root snare, and DOT's, so that answers that question too. I would think a guild would put this to a Wizard first, mage second, then kinda equal from there. The biggest nukes get the biggest gains from the effect.

Well im sure that necros could use this belt but everybody forgot one class that would truly love to have this. Shaman. The extra hp would just be so nice for cannidanceing. And just about everything useful that a shaman casts ie the cripple line the malo line and the slow line of spells all get extended by this focus effect. Not to mention the dots and roots too. Trust me ask a shammy if he would like to have the belt and i bet you couldn't find many that wouldn't.

I sent Alla a correction on this since I have one on my druid, but I guess he's pretty busy and hasn't had a chance to update it yet. It's definatly Extended Affliction 3 though.
Ermmm, my bad, I didnt read down. Disregard that part of my post. I think Allakhazam needs to get to fixin this stuff, seems a lot of things in the game are changing effects all the time
Now I would have to say this is a pimp Necro Item.

There was a second wave of changes. This effect is no longer improved damage III. It is extended affliction III.
can verify this...is IS unfortunately ext afflic 3
