Secrets of Faydwer
Your character needs "Master" (skill 100) on the following languages to get full stats:
Barbarian
Dark Elvish
Dwarvish
Elvish
Erudian
Froglok
Gnomish
Halfling
Ogre
Troll
Vah Shir
Once you "master" each language, wait a few seconds, remove and equip the item will reflect the updated stats. Each mastery adds to the stats until it reaches full stats on mastering all above languages.

I wear this thing and the stats are shown as the 2nd pic.
which is 2ac, 5hp, 4mana, 4end, etc
but not the regular 22ac, 51hp, 44mana, 44end, etc
why this gear has no stat on me??

Same stats with all language at master

i checked and rechecked.. i have the same list above mastered (on my beastlord)and a few others, but it's one step below. other maxed languages are lizardman, dark speech, dragon and elder dragon. not sure what's up. trying combine next (since vah shir have that maxed from the start, i believe).

yep, combine tongue finished it off, so to the above list, add
lizardman (i can't imagine this wouldn't be required)

Actually, for me just having the above at 100, in addition to Common Tongue, was enough to have the stats as indicated above. Combine and Lizardman not necessary. It could be that some posters are Ogre or Troll, and if I remember correctly there are some races that don't have common tongue maxed at startup. No idea otherwise.
