I just tested it and it works : combine "Discordant Lifefalter Silk Wristband" in a "Silenced Tinea Deviation Chamber" ( container with only one slot in it ) and you obtain : "Discordant Lifefalter Silk Wristguard".

I used it to change my T3 from a wristband (disease) to wristguard (poison) so I could combine w/ the T4 essence then used another one to change the wristguard (poison) to a wristband (disease).
So, it works on T4 (and T3 as previously mentioned).

.........and I believe I actually used this item once.
The way I remmeber it is that it only works on T3 bracers... and it will change the bracer from Discordant to Concordant, or vice-versa.
(Take out the augs first!)
Anyone else confirm this?

After reading all these posts I do not see any that talk about changing the Tier 5 armor Focus effects. Can anyone confirm that you can not? I have tried putting my Tier 5 wrist in this , but it just keeps saying I can not combine these items in this container type. I removed all the augs and everything but still nothing. Any info would be appreciated. ATM im assuming you can not convert past Tier 4 armor.
I have tried putting a bracer in this. I have tried putting the silenced mutating tinea in this. All I ever get is "you cannot combine these items in this container type!" So now my cleric has 2 bracers with the same useless effect. Not that the other effects are much better but at least having a different one is slightly more practical. I just cannot seem to figure out how to work this.

After beating my head against the wall trying to figure out why I was having the same issue with a rangers truespirit chain wrist, I sat down and thought about what this is supposed to do. This is supposed to alternate the "configuration" of the wrist piece so as to change the focus effect on it. Upon a little more thinking I realized that the truespirit wrist has no focus period, therefore an item to change the focus is going to have no effect on it.
So my assumption, and yes I know how dangerous those can be, is that trying do a combine in this chamber on any wrist piece that has no focus effect to begin with will not work because there is nothing to change. However if anyone knows otherwise, by all means please speak up.

Read the thread just below this one and see if that addresses your problem. You may have to mutate the bracer back to the original version before you can deviate it.
If I use the Silenced Tinea Deviation Chamber to convert a tier 3 bracer into a brace, then I upgrade with a tier 4 essence, would my wrist item revert back to a bracer? or will it carry on through the tiers as a brace?
I would think that it only needs to be done once, but do not find any recipes indicating either way.

After using this successfully to create my T3 disease wrist, I was unable to do the next combine to make it T4. (Yes I am using a fractured medial.) It might be a different issue, but I am now wondering if you have to switch it back to do the combine. Anyone tried this?

AFAIK you can only upgrade the original (i.e., not deviated) at any level. It may be possible to mutate any given level, although I can't confirm that. If anyone knows better on either of those fronts, please post, and if you've seen mutated versions of levels we don't have yet, please upload them to Lucy.
You are wise, if somewhat ungainly Fleven. By combinining my Discordant wirstBAND in another Silenced Tinea Deviation Chamber, I changed it BACK to a wirstGUARD. I was then able to combine it with the medial essence and create a T4 wristGUARD. Finally, for giggles, and since it was only 15 chronos, I combined it in another deviation chamber. The result was a T4 wristband.
So I can confirm this works. Use in good health.

We still don't have many of the deviated versions in our DB. Make sure you upload them to Lucy via the Item Collector.

This is used to alter https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=77468 so that you can make https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=80314 (other wristbands) so you can have the other focus of the second wristband.
There is no info on that.
Look up the silenced tinea for the bracer recipe

this is purely speculation, but i am sure this lets you change your bracer from the default to rotate thru poison / disease / chromatic - but only before you make it. so to change the "silenced mutating tinea" to altered versions.
