Well, been hunting in Up for a couple days now. The Raldukan is a rare spawn. We have killed this guy 4 or 5 times now. Each time he has only dropped a Gantru Charm. Not a bad neck item but not what I am looking for.

Stats on necklace here:

Hope to get the legs or other parts some day.
This is not RNG usable~~~
# Nov 07 2002 at 9:27 AM Rating: Decent
Sad but true,I just killed the named and it dropped the Greaves. It is NOT usable by Ranger...
So,all the Rangers who trying to get one of this in UP,dont be fooled by the above item stats.I think VI nerfed this thing stealthly.35 AC and 10 STA....grrrrr,why my RNG cannot wear this...

"...dont be fooled by the above item stats."

Sounds like someone fooled you into believing rangers can wear plate armor. There are exceptions of course, but don't expect it to be the rule.
Bard can wear the BP , .......
# Jul 17 2002 at 11:55 PM Rating: Decent
OK, I'm going by what I read here in The Atlas. According to them a bard can wear the breastplate, but can't wear the greaves......guess that makes sense to everyone but me. And what exactly was this "nerf" I heard about on these? Just curious.

Anyone know if rangers can wear the greeves. See post that they nerfed it.

I just saw a paladin wearing the raldukan helm, and it's pink. Cruel Verant... u guys are sick bastards. I'll stick with SS, this crap is rangerbait.

(btw Im not kidding, its pink.)
RE: Look...
# Apr 11 2002 at 9:34 PM Rating: Default
pink or not, i would hardly concider this armor 'crap'. i for one would be more then happy to wear these if given the chance. ( besides, with a flaw with wolf form you can have looks and stats =p) so yes =) you keep your Skyshrine armor, and i'll take the pink pants. i shure hope allot of the 'knights' on saryn have similar priorities as yours. =)
RE: Look...
# Jul 10 2002 at 9:15 AM Rating: Decent
If you read the above post more carefully you'll see that the poster only said that the helm was pink. He didn't mention the color of the rest of the suit. I have the boots myself, and I can tell you they're silvery, like FS Platemail (with Luclin graphics turned on). I have a friend that does have the helm though, and it is pink. It is my guess that the whole suit is silvery in color except the helm, which is pink. At least that's how the SS quest armor is, so I imagine it would be the same here, having the helm be the only oddball color of the set. Hope this helps.

Look doesnt matter unless you are 12yo or blind...

Stats are good and no matter if it is pink or not... it is not EQFashion contest, it is question of getting good gear with nice stats to help you (and your group members /guildies ) in taking your trips deeper in dungeons / opened area, with less troubles...

RE: Look...
# Jan 14 2003 at 7:40 PM Rating: Decent
I beg to differ. I consider how something looks a big part of the game. Especially for something called 'role playing.' One item with a few points higher in a few stats is not significant to your guild no matter where you are going. Your guild could have the full range of the best gear in the game, but if none of you can play the game well you aren't going deeper into anything except bodies of liquid.
RE: Look...
# Feb 26 2003 at 10:26 AM Rating: Default
But how the item looks is important to a guild? The only issue mentioned is Stats vs. Appearance, and you make it sound like an item's color will aid a guild in some way.

Anyone worried about the pink graphic for the helm has deeper doubts about themselves than how their guild plays.

Iksars Shafted
# Mar 01 2002 at 1:03 PM Rating: Decent
I wish they would make either the chain war/sk iksar wearable, or the plate iksar wearable. As it stands, we can't really wear any of the armour drops in this zone.

They are denied it based upon a RP standpoint. Plate armor does not breathe well, thus iksar + plate + hard physical work (combat) = heatstroke (or something similar) = dead iksar. Iksar have a natual AC bonus (which comes from scales, naturally) to make up for it.

Ive been in several groups throughout Umbral and I've seen one piece of Moktar drop and 3 pieces of the Druid armor... I've also seen the DA Gloves;

Total time in zone - 15 hrs
Total Drops of value - 5

I dont count Dark Steel as its not very good.

Hope this Helps

Haven't been able to get into an umbral group yet. However the drop rate on items has been high with every new expansion and then was lowered a week or so after the release. With all the problems they may have left the drop rate up for a bit longer.

Moktors still drop armor, and raldukan is still there... but i agree neither is common drop.

Killed one raldukan in a 4 hour camp. He dropped 20sp, and nothing else.

In the 4 hours we had 2 pieces of armor drop for us. moktor helm, and moktor boots. We had two groups and were pretty much chain pulling moktors most of the time. Only had one time when we needed to zone due to train. I would say at best armor drops were 1 in 20 moktor... it was probably higher than that. we had both armor pieces drop within first 10 minutes of camp, and the remaining 3 hours and 50 minutes we got nothing.

If your going here you will definitely want a monk for the pulls, and a chanter for the adds. Two groups worked well, but one solid group would be enough. Just more downtime for the single group.

The aggro radius is incredibly large, and they spawn quickly... only camp we were able to establish was at zone line.

Nice pants!
# Jan 03 2002 at 12:23 PM Rating: Good
Would love to know myself how these are acquired. Says "Common" drop. ? REALLY? For myself, a Ranger, these pants have more ac than, for example, our planar chest piece. I'm with the below poster - where they drop? Who drops them? How many people it take? (And what they look like? hehe)
Lets see some basic info

I hate being the one to say this but here goes...

Who drops, where does it spawn, does it have a ph, whats the spawn time, how many people does it take to get it, what does it look like...

Gantru Raldukan

20 feet away from the entrance building of Umbral Plains

yes it does (gantru moktor are PH.. maybe .. but we believe big V that there is nothing like a PH)

maybe 10-15 minutes, didn't time it .. the problem is not getting MORE MoBs but getting less at the same time :o)

1 group .. lvl 50-60 (yea.. after some recent patches even the Orc Camps in EC are claimed to be lvl 60+, but depending on the class a lvl 50 is good enough .. lowest chanter we had was 51, lowest cleric lvl 50 and they where good enough etc. .. only one who has to be as high as possible is main tank who should be 55+)
Hmm..
# Dec 30 2001 at 6:11 AM Rating: Default
Not like this is real relevant, but the only classes that can use this particular piece of armor are classes that can use two handed swords. *shrug*
#Darknyss, Posted: Dec 30 2001 at 1:08 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Anybody notice how screwed Iksar are getting on all these crazy cool armors... if a Ranger can wear it... why can't an Iksar... we're both chain wearers..!!!

#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 31 2001 at 8:57 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Well, actually, its not the armor type that gets issued this armor... its the offensive capabilities by class. Granted, yes, Iksar can be warriors... but... the Iksar have thier own armor. I don't really think thier is a high speed super chain armor in game for wood elves, now is there?

Recommended Level

Recommended Level means that a character lower than that level equipping the item will not get the full AC benefit. They'll get all the stats, but not all the AC until they get to whatever level is recommended.
RE: Recommended Level
# Feb 26 2003 at 10:29 AM Rating: Default
All stats are reduced, not just AC, until a character hits the recommended level.
...?
# Dec 28 2001 at 8:49 PM Rating: Default
Recommended level? What's that supposed to mean?
