Got one today as a level 10 beast. Ran into a poacher and took him down pretty easy. As an earning-his-own-way beast this was cool to get.
i am thinking of going to get me some fo these horns... i have two horns of the spirits but i'd like to get some for my ogre beastlord...

i am a lvl10 monk new to everquest. i only own the basic everquest, not any of the epxansion yet. i'm looking for something like this. a h2h weapon better then my fists at lvl10 (6/36 i believe).
i just say the info on the bronze ulak and am thinking about getting some from bb... but does anyone have any subjestions on what i should be getting instead?

I think the 6 damage is totaly off. I have been using one of these babys since lvl 2 and i wont use anything else. When i first got it, it would hit for 8, and now it hits for about 12 damage everytime, sometimes higher. This thing is my primary meele and i plan on keeping it that way. This weapon is also one of the BEST for us khati sha.
saw one of these on a merchant for a couple gold. cool huh?
Where did you see one for a couple gold... I got mine from a merchant for 5 silver. I also bought horns of fighting for 1 silver 3 copper.
A guy on my server tried to sell 2 of these for 1.5k each LOL

The traders in the poacher/trader cave drop Horns of the Spirits

The above is correct. I got 3 of these off the back Trader in the cave - Blue to level 16.

At level 9, the poachers that dropped these were blue to yellow. Easy kills and these dropped pretty frequently. You can find a lot of poachers at the Loda Kai brigand/thug camp in shadeweaver thicket. They also drop a 'Fist of Stone' which is magic h2h 10/50 hp10 and looks like a gbs when equipped. The cool thing is that the weapons aren't lore, so you can collect bagfuls of them and go give them away to the noobs in Shar Vahl :)

I've seen Horns of the Spirits, Beast, Horns of Discipline, and Horns of Fighting drop so far... I'll try to send em in soon.

I had several of these drop last nite. There are 3 different types all with different stats all only useable by Mnk and Bst. They dropped off of the Poachers. The poachers were all concentrated in a round room in the tunnels. They were easy to kill at lvl 35 I am guessing they are around lvl 20ish. I cleared the room 2 times and got about 6 of these total. Very common and looks like Knuckle Dusters when equipped. There is also a BST only claw hand to hand weapon that drops off of these guys as well. Killing the poachers raises your faction with the Vah Shir.

What are the poachers? I don't see "Poachers" listed in the beastiary for Shadeweaver's Thicket. I want to get some of these horns for a newbie monk. Is it a different zone? Please be specific, thank you.
There was some reference to a round room in the tunnels. Was that the central circular room on the map for Shadeweaver?

As for the above mentioned Poachers, i believe everyone is refering to the Loda Kai poachers, but the round room they're talking about, I'm just as lost, heheh

Actually, the poachers are about lvl 10-11 and the traders that are there are about lvl 14-15. I went there at level 8 and in one night got to lvl 13 and stayed there till 15. Nearly everything there was blue by 15, with some of the traders even to me. At level 8, everything was red.
It's a great spot and I'm glad no one else on my server discovered it till I was done...hehe.

How can I get these? I was out in the zone with my druid and saw Loda Kai Soldiers, brigands. What drops these?

Hmm... the second hand to hand enhancing 'weapon' I've seen tonight. Interesting concept. Oh, and a DMG bonus too.

Damage bonus varies with character. If an L10 monk took that screenie, it would have no damage bonus at all; if an L50 monk took that screenshot it'd be a damage bonus in the neighborhood of 10-12ish.
