there is a long forgotten quest for a box that lets you summon a awesome fishing rod that summons ale.

These also very rarely drop off of "A Coelesced Vision" in GE.
I'm guessing that this mob no longer spawns except on Al'kabor.

From what I understand, they are now only available from the casino.

Here's an alternative quest for a Summon Ale item:
Get 2 Nightmare Cichlid Bones and 2 Vallorian Discus Bones, either by buying them from the Bazaar or by fishing and preparing them. Then hand them *unstacked* to Ramos Jerwan (a barbarian near the pool in Plane of Knowledge at location -30, +1430) so all 4 slots of the trade window are filled. In return he hands you the Fisherman's Companion.

Actually, the stats are kinda back to front. This should raise the target's Charisma, not the wearer's! 
Won these in casino today,They are pretty rare and the best item I have won so far.

I won these in the casino today from the bard/ranger/sk/bst prize giver on an alt of mine. I would really like to know if they still drop in game, because I haven't seen many. I was hoping that they would have a unique look when you equip them, but they have no graphic. The AC on this is also 15, not 7.

They go in the FACE slot. The FACE slot never has a graphic....
It is my understanding that they stopped dropping a good while ago.

Do these still drop after the revamp of GE? I have done a fair amount of fighting in there lately and have yet to see them drop. A guildie of mine would like a pair for his RL 21st birthday. Any help would be appreciated.

I am told that the Vision type mobs (a Dark vision etc.)no longer spawn after the revamp. These only dropped from that type of mob. I cannot confirm this, but hv spent bout 8 hours in the zone w/ a tracker and never saw one once. Our guild was gonna raid for these too, just for the fun of hvin them. Hope that helps.

I had these drop in the casino last night for my druid. Fishing companion is alot easier to get and alot cheaper but its still fun to raise your skill :)

After getting this on a raid last night, I must share that it does have a casting time on the ale... and a cast time of 10.0 at that....

LOL I GOT THIS ITEM yesterday and my guild was laughing. they never seen it before. i was in a raid in GE and won the roll. It dropped off a conseint (or something ) vision!!

Wouldn't it be nice if by gettin "tanked" (pun there) you could combat Dragon Fear...
I mean- come on, where's the whole 10 foot tall and bulletproof effect at?
I think I'll feedback this to Verant next time I'm on- Anyone else who likes the idea feel free to join me :)
It could be even just boost the disciplines by a percentage or sumthin.

Ok, it summons only one beer per cast, but it seems it has no casttime ;) *place item on hotkey as soon as I have it*

Quick question- Does it summon 1 beer or is it like the cleric version of abundant food? Summon 6 pack, now that would be tight!

Only summons one at a time :(. I was dissapointed when i won mine.
