Kings Court Casino is in Shadowhaven on the way to Paludal Caverns (from Nexus). It's the first door just before you go up the stairs on your way from Nexus zone in. open door, turn right, turn left quick, go down stairs for the class-specific token/game NPC and handy banker. Gold Ticket NPC Jacob Thornblade is on the main floor your entered by.
Patch Intro: Shandeling's Roost in Shadowhaven now houses a game of chance. To play you will need to buy a King's Court Token. You then take this token and turn it in to any of the dealers. Based on what your hand turns out to be, you will be awarded a prize. The highest hands will return a gold ticket as the prize. This Ticket can be turned in to win prizes such as a Guise of the Deceiver (not if you are a dark elf), Fungus Covered Great Staff, or Holgresh Elder Beads. Good luck to all that play! You say, 'Hail, Jacob Thornblade' Jacob Thornblade says 'Welcome! Welcome to Shandeling's, the gaming hall of chance! The game room is downstairs. If you are lucky enough to get a Gold Ticket, be sure to bring it to me for a spin on the big wheel of prizes! Make sure to tip your waitress well!' You can buy King's Court Tokens from two Brewing merchants nearby : Nayda Winterwind and Keiya Oakwood. Use the find key for Brewing Supplies NPC named Keiya Oakwood. She is in the same room as Jacob.
This entry is listed as LDON but the NPCs don't seem to be there in Shadow Haven on TLPs. I don't know what era. As of the time of this writing, we are in LDON era on Yelinak TLP. GoD drops in a couple weeks, maybe I'll check then. But I mistakenly bought 2 tokens back in Luclin because they were available, before realizing that the turn-in NPCs weren't present. And they still aren't...
These tokens are burning a hole in my backpack! I want to turn them in, but don't know how long I have to wait. Bah.
EDIT: The casino NPCs showed up in Gates of Discord! I am a proud owner of a Guise for my Beastlord!

tokens get you mostly the trash.... gold tickets get you the higher end stuff.

Playing around with the casino and gold ticket turn ins for some alts...
At some point they "fixed" the gold ticket turn in process. You now always one of the 8 items that you do not have (7 if you are a Dark Elf naturally because DEs still cannot get Guise of Deceiver). It used to be that it would "roll" and pick one of the 8 items. If you did not have it, you got it. If you already had it, you got a message that the wheel wasn't working and try again...and you would have to turn in the gold ticket again...which could lead to a lot of turn ins when trying for the last item of the 8 you needed.
Not sure when it was fixed, but it is (at least on Xegony).

Played a lot with the casino in SH, never won a Gold Ticket... So i took a chance and bought one ticket from Alerynril in POK with my monk and won on the FIRST turn in!!

Spent 70,000 plat on 700 tokens. I bought them 100 at a time. My results follow:

So what started out as an interesting endeavor to explore a part of eq I had never experienced, in the end, turned into backpacks of crapola.
To paraphrase Sheldon Cooper of Big Bang Theory when his WoW account was hacked, "It's almost as if it was a complete waste of time." lol
So I then decided to use the loyalty route and bought 3 Golden Tickets. My "rewards" were:
Holgresh Beads (what a pos item for the cost of a golden ticket)
Scimitar of the Mistwalker
Rubicite Brestplate
What I was hoping for was the Guise of the Deceiver and the Glowing Black Drum. I got skunked out on both. (sigh)
I knew my luck has always been horrible, but these results really suck! My curiosity about the casino has been satisfied. It sucks as well. No casino graphics, just the usual stationary npc accepting the continuous clicks, clicks, clicks etc etc etc
My recommendation is to stay as far away from this eq scam as is humanly possible. Unless your curiosity, like mine, gets the best of you.

It's called gambling for a reason. Sometimes you win big, sometimes you win small, and sometimes you lose. The whole purpose of casino was to drain plat from the game and restore some sort of balance to the economy. Even back when Luclin was released the economies of the servers were already going to hell. There was too much money in game and not enough ways to remove it. Players were accumulating millions and millions of plat and prices were suffering. The lottery tickets gave them a chance to acquire hard or impossible to get items simply by risking some of that money, which they could easily afford to do with the mountains of money they were sitting on.
Oh, and the alternative, setting up a vendor that sold rare items to anyone with the money would have been just as bad. Then you would have had a flood of gear (that wouldn't really be rare anymore) instead of a flood of plat which would have screwed up the economy in the other direction. Too much gear, not enough plat as opposed to too much plat, not enough gear. In the first scenario, prices fall to nothing as sellers desperate for money try to unload all their stuff at fire sale prices. In the second, you get sellers demanding huge sums of money for even easy to get items because they know the money is out there to pay the asking price. Buyers market vs sellers market. Both are equally bad for the long term health of a game. Both buyers and sellers need to feel like they are being treated fairly in transactions or people will stop playing.

If you were me and I were you, would we still be friends?
(Getting a Guise of the Deceiver) I can confirm that if you are a Dark Elf, you cannot win one (with a gold ticket) from the casino. Tried over 1000 times to turn in the last gold ticket, nada.
Switched race to Gnome, and got it almost immediately.

The Fungus staff still drops but is very rare. No joke that I turned in the ticket 415 times and then got the staff.
Best way to get a ticket now is to just buy them with loyalty tokens, about 3 months worth with full loyalty velocity, or buy one in bazaar from someone. Trying to get via tokens probably will cost much, much more.

Just FYI, the fungus staff does NOT drop anymore. What now drops in its place is a "Fungi" covered great staff. The difference is that the original fungus staff was clickable by anyone, the fungi staff works as intended only for the appropriate classes. What drops now is the nerfed version.

The original poster is correct as of today - it is the Fungus and not the Fungi staff that you get. I purchased a total of 9 Gold Tickets using Crowns, and turned them in, getting (on a new level 1 enchanter alt):

I know this is old but the hammer is from the gauntlets, so technically you can win it if you right click the gauntlets. Granted its not won by the ticket it is still won as it requires a item won by the ticket to get the item. If that makes sense lol

I know this is also old, but you can no longer get the gauntlets even if you have converted the gauntlets to the hammer. They are part of a lore group.

alot of these posts may get your hopes up on getting a ticket. DONT! i spent 90k tonight and didnt get didley. ive spent over 300k in there and didnt get didley. this kind of thing makes me remember why i quit this game for so long in the first place. spend 90k take hours turning in coins and end up with nothing but a deluxe sowing kit to show for it.

Dropped about 175K. Won two gold tickets. Turned one ticket in - received the Guise. Was hoping for the holgresh beads. I have one more ticket. I had made an audio trigger to Thump1 when I saw "Ticket". The very next hand in (I do not even exaggerate) I heard a rather conspicuous THUMP, compared to the normal Alert2 I hear when I see "tokens" won.

I was recently in the casino last two nights and spent 200k pp and won 4 gold tickets in two nights now how rare is that? first 1 i won i immediatley turned it in and reieved the guantlets. It took me bout 50k then ,went back down played again and 30k later bingo another ticket,went back upstairs turned it in and got the BP,so went back down about hour to hour 1/2 later, and 50k later got another ticket ,turned it in and got glowing black drum, then next night bout 50k in i got another ticket turn in got the eler beads, tried again and 100k later here i am now and nothing . But how lucky and rare is that to get 4 tickets in two days. trying again tonight I want the guise of the deciever.

since the vibrating gloves / hammer had a lore tag added there have been a bug with these when turning in a gold ticket. you can not have both items on you anymore,but Jacob dont know that..

Today I handed in 4 tokens after about 400k spent or more and got 2 jackpot messages and a dupelicate lore message meaning i only get 1 ticket cuz their lore :( ... this can happen so keep it in mind. Kinda makes me not wanna hand in 4 tokens at a time.

Well, just wanted to share with the world ... 100k down the tube, and going. Nothing but crap food and crap gems, a couple illusions and that's it. Good thing I like grilled Kabobs omfg >.<
I got the first gold ticket after only 20kpp spent. After getting just a few other items in bazaar, I bugged a chanty to make me DE (yes, in shadowhaven as illusion wears when you cross zone) and handed the gold ticket.

Third gold ticket got me a glowing black drum.
I guess I got lucky I didn't need all the junk items to get the 2 no drop items. Still a bit peeved that I got the DE mask when I had DE illusion on.
Grand total spent: 335kpp
In addition to the DE mask, drum, and breastplate I also got beer goggle, snakefingers glove, all 4 resistance stones, and 7 duplicate lore messages. Also oddles of assorted gems and illusion pots which I sold to buy more tokens ;-)

I stop by every 6 months or so and blow like 10k normally. Well today after about 3k spent I won a ticket. Time to decide what to do with it.
