i've been playing EQ for about a year & 1/2. Currently the population is dwindling, seems Sony has blinders on without having the 'Force'. Not being a power gamer but a casual player, as old as this item is, i would still beam a smile if my Monk had it. Perhaps Sony could revitalize ToVeeshan &/or retune the loots. Something to entice players to return there. The AC is still more than decent upon this for today. Make the Xave's have 175 HPs now, add 150 END to it, maybe a regeneration amount, & a Faerune effect possibly. As Sony's EQ growing majority of power gamers & true veterans remain the core population, the casual &/or true new players will be weeded out since Sony seems to not care nor cater to their concerns. Sony needs to open the game up, allow progression, allow fun, achieving goals & give a reason to want to play EQ as a game & not as work. But as is i still want the Xave's hehe too bad i wont ever see let alone acquire.

Brother Xave was Lead GM for Mithaniel Marr ... He had one of the better senses of Humor ... i was online when he had to leave the game ... he turned 23 same day ... I seem to remember all zones getting messages like " a portal opens in the heavens to accept a Monk Hero" ... brother xave had to leave the game..... this was years ago when the game had just gotten Kunark.

I have a question to VI too. Why not 100hps on it? Hmm one of the hardest encounters in the game, drops a 75 hps item (well it used to be one of them, now it a) does not exist :P) and b) is outstripped by luclin encounters)
not a bad point to be honest.... I am doing a VP quest right now for a mask with 140hp on it... that I can do most of with guilds druid-bot and 1 friend... It does require some faction but it is way easy to do compared with getting this!
Seems to me this mobs drops could get a facelift.

It's funny if you look at the myriad of items that are not monk useable and due to the fact it has no or low weight, there's several posts from monks screaming about not being able to use it. To quote a really bad game, 'Suck it down!'

The haste on this is 42%.
I've tested it repeatedly.

I had the pleasure of knowing Xave in his GM duties and I think it is a great thing that they put this great item into the game with his name on it. He was the best GM that I have run into in my many travels. Not saying that other GMs arent good just that Xave was better.
and just for the record this is probably a monk item because Xave's avatar was a monk.

im a monk and i dont think every "Uber" low wieghted item should go to a monk. I think that those that automatically assume that the only people that say that are monks need to shut up. Dont be so stereotypical, stereotypes assume and well all know how to spell assume.

He was making fun of the fact that every time some new uber item comes out that has low weight, monks here complain or insist it is a monk item.
And besides he's wrong, it's a Rogue item hands down. It's not plate for Paladins, and has AC STR and DEX, it just reads rogue.

Like hell it is! This thing has Wizzy written all over it! Wizards need haste so we can whup serious **** with our sac daggers or staves of the wheel, not to mention that dex coming in handy for when we use our famous feign death ability. (You know, the one that mystically puts you at your bind point without all that burdensome gear slowing you down?) Step back, warriors, wizzys are the new tanks in town!

It's all well and nice that people that this is a class item just most people think it is getting old on the class debate the stats on this thing read for all melee types sry it just happen's to be a monk useble only item, oh well gratz to the monks for this uber peice of equipment.

He was an awesome GM, he was a very nice guy and a good GM, back when VI had actual customer service... he was a good guy and a good gm.. but i dont think VI cared for him very much, so they pushed him out, and has since gave us set of incompetant assbrains to try to fill his shoes...
lets just say they sucked, up until Vedan, and now Vedan is gone, i have yet to have to deal with the new head GM so i cant rate him...

Xave got promoted, he wasn't pushed out....think about this one....ever wonder what a GM or Guide thinks of players when they petition for some of the most idiotic things? Yeah, guess that never crossed your mind. Join the hug a Guide movement, I bet it will do wonders for them and you.

if you like the AC on this, after you get it, join the dragon faction and get the flayed barbarian leggins off of the avatar of war =p.... the best legs in the game (pre-luclin, maybe even still) and of course they're limited to the best class in the game

Yes, flayed barbarian skin leggings are the best droppable legs, but i would prefer the no drop leggings of the fiery star hehe

Brother Xave used to be the head GM on Mithanniel Marr. I guess after he quit he gave his headband to a dragon, waiting for some other lucky monk to come along and pick it up :)
Bah Vulak propably ATE the poor GM. That's how this headband got there.
