most of our druid armor is leather, but some is not. can anyone varify which this is? Onetree posted it was also naturally dyed pink...is this still true?
The pattern needed for this tunic is found in the Plane of Time. I know there aren't too many people who have access to PoT yet so I'm wondering if anyone has been able to make this tunic. Let us know if you have this.
It is not BL, It is No drop and Druid only, although I would never waste my time trying to that BP, there are many many more that make that one look like junk.
Aye you're right, and since every druid capable of getting one of these is also in 4th tier pop and these leather tunic patterns drop common enough for everyone to get one, you're completely right... not
It's like telling a level 5 not to do their newbie quests cause they can get better loot from VT. (although it's a bit more extreme)
Wow, this BP is like way to good to be true!! The stats are insane, especially when you are wearing crap like me at level 50.. hehe
About the AC, I think that 32 is more then enough for any druid who can properly kite. You are not level 14 anymore, cant just throw on your DS and tank mobs like the good old days. I am guessing anyone who gets this BP is probably 50+, and should know how to kite, or fight in group, without getting aggroed upon. In the rare instances where you do get mobbed, your sow and AC buffs should be enough to keep you alive.
Oh, and I absolutely love the idea of a pink BP:) It's about time I started dressing like a girl instead of a bag-lady! hehe
True, it does not have the insta click regrowth of the grove like other SoV armor, however it has the highest AC and good wis/saves. And honestly who wouldn't want to prance around in pink... Don't answer that. Anyways just wanted to say that it might not be worth the time, but definetely a nice status symbol for anyone that has one.
lol i use this on trek raids cause of the resists, mainly i mean come on its hard to find a chest piece for a druid that add poison resists with out us casting it.... i think this armor is mainly used as a "gag" joke cause of the limited amount of right click effects on the other pieces, kind of a fun thing to get and mess around with if ya get bord of eq at any time
I just made my Twisted Nature Chestguard. Awesome stats but how shall I describe it...
It's basically the tizmak/thurg bp design. However, the basic brown color has been tinted pink. Yes, that's right, PINK. UGH. What in the world was Verant thinking when they dreamed this up? The Harmony armor from Hate and Skyshrine quest armor look much better than Mischief armor, and they're MUCH easier to get. Are they trying to discourage advancement through hard work? /bonk Verant
Oh well, there's comfort in knowing stats like these are hard to come by, cold though that comfort is.
It should be pointed out that since a patch in July 2001 ALL PoM class armor pieces are NO DROP, including this one. For a time, all cleric and druid pieces were droppable, while the rest were not. Now they are all no drop.
No druid of the 24th circle will have enough cash to buy this unless he has another character of the 60th circle. There's no shot in hell. This is easily a 150k item. Probably will NEVER be sold, until Lucin comes out with items surpassing even this.
SoV Quest BP's: Nice stats, yes but the effect is a joke.
PoM BP: Nice Wis, INT (For Learning new skills or faster learning), HP/Mana is nice and the SV's are the 3 SV's which are hard to raise. The weight is also ok.
It was clarified by Verant not long ago that more INT does NOT speed up the rate at which you learn skills and more WIS does NOT increase your successes over failures in craft skills... It's the highest of the two which determines the rate and success of the craft skill.
Man all these fools posting about armor and classes an bickering over a chat board is pathetic!!I play a warrior and my friend plays a druid. RULE1)The tank is only as good as his druid. RUEL2)The druid is only as good as the tank
The reason i know this is that i hate healing my self and even though a cyclops cons midblue to my warrior and my warrior has awesome stuff. The one eye kicks my ***** So i need a druid to heal and buff me.
However druids in groups should never die! If you have a tank like myself who has all his skills maxed for his lvl Such as TAUNT and all my attacks the mob might turn on the druid when you get a heal and could posibly get in 1 hit on the druid. However i hav never had my druid die when we are partners EVER!
So work as a team and quit ******* over what class can wear what and what class is better than another.
druid cant heal worth **** after 45, okay if you are farming ****..and at 51 we get superior healing..but for one giant druid will be oom and warrior will be whacked....now the druid can solo the giant while the warrior can sit down and stay the **** out of the way and wait for the giant to be in flee mode then kill it while the druid meds back to full...obviously u and your druid partner hasnt made it up there in levels yet
i dont know what kind of giants or what kind of tank we are talking about here, but i believe you are wrong my friend. my level 39 warrior can just about solo the giants in Great Divide, but not the elites (last damn time i ever try to solo one of them..jebus). With a druid backing me up with thorns and heals, and proper buffs before hand I can handle any damn giant you throw at me (just nothing elites or harder). So stop posting ******** and go play the game and actually learn what your talking about. then maybe actually get some armor so u can be a tank or a druid or whatever **** ur posting about. thanks.

Hes right so shut up...i have 48 druid and i cant heal worth a damn, my buffs and heals are out done by clerics and shammys and the nukes are out done by wizards and mages. You say waht about the DoTs....well ya they are good but necro and shammy buffs are better. So......what is there left to do?? Solo out ur wazzo (druids all aroundness makes them awesome at it)...i level 3times faster than anyone else that was previously my level (quad kiting pays off). Dont put someone down that knows what hes saying you stupid warrior...couldnt do it without u ignorant fools either!!!
I understand why they put +WIS and +INT on the same items if they're all/all, so they'll be equally good and valuable to whoever is using them. But +INT on a Druid only item? Huh? I think it's been proven that tradeskills, in addition to other skills, just use whatever is higher (which will obviously be WIS for Druids) and ignore the other stat when calculating skill-ups. Looks to me like they just threw it in to make it look better.
Again, I'm certainly not complaining. This item ROCKS!! Heck, this would probably put my INT over 100, and it looks nice to have all stats over 100. I'm just confused about the reasoning.
Everyone is missing a very nice thing on all this armor take a close look at the weight on all this stuff it doesnt weight 100 stones for a bracer. I dont know about you all but I'm almost encumbered carrying around all my different pieces of armor and unfortunatly the shawl ate into my tink bag fund big time )
I went and looked at all the druid chest pieces that are listed on the net.
THIS IS THE BEST BY FAR!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is the 2nd highest ac we can get, but the other stats far outweigh the difference. If any of you think this is crap, think again. No, its not as good as the Cleric BP...but I dont play a Cleric. Nor do I play a Shaman. I play a Druid...and this is the best we can get. If you ever get one and really think its crap...why then give it to some deserving noob and walk away happy that you havent wasted an inventory slot keeping it...)
When you spend most of your life in a 12 or 14 AC tunic(Foremans, BCP) 32AC is alot...) Even our planar stuff rarely gets over 25. This is nice, very nice.
Wow its seems VI forgot the elevator when making this set of armor and the druids took the shaft the Clr armor is amazing, shamans not too bad either, monks and thier monkey armor, and this is just not right. I dont' play a druid and i may be wrong in saying this is some bad stuff, but if i were a druid i would be kinda mad.
Did someone mistype the AC on this armor? Why is it so low in comparison to the other wis classes? Did Verant fall asleep at the desk while making/typing the AC on this?
one reason for keeping druids to a lower AC than other classes is their ability to solo mobs. More specificaly, their ability to solo non-summoning 51+ mobs. If a druid could get realy decent AC, buffed himself up with all his AC buffs (as pittiful as they are) and his regen buffs (which are quite good) and then lead in with his epic dot there is a good chance that a druid could solo quite a few of the lower HP summoning mobs. As it is, a druid in good planar or better gear can solo certain summoning mobs (but not many) such as some of the mobs that drop cards in PoM. If a druid could get good enough armor, you'd see them acting like shammy soloing (buff, pet, throns, dot and whack). As it is, that's suicide for a druid. Their pet isn't as good as a shammies, even with buffs. Their ac isn't nearly as high, and their buffs don't catch them up to the shammy in damage output. Only advantage is thorns, and it's hard to say dishing out 29 damage is good when your taking 150 or more back. While druid Dots are way better than a shammies, that only reinforces the reasoning that you don't need to melee to kill a mob, just snare/dot/root (or skip root and keep running).
I can tell you why the ac is lower. Clerics and Shamans are plate classes, while druids are restricted to leather. It's perfectly fair, you don't see too many druids confronting in melee combat at this level anyways, so AC won't matter.
Someone should beat the hell out of you, then maybe some sense would have room in your pea-sized brain.
1) Shamans are a chain-based class, numbnuts
2) Druids, just like any other caster, DO get agro'd
3) Considering there is only an 8 point difference between plate-to-chain, there is a TWENTY (20!) point difference between the chain and the leather. That is ridiculous.
No, I don't play a Druid. But I do think that Druids get severely ****** over on items, because Verant made them overpowered to begin with, and now they're nerfed out the *******, but still they get crap.
No, Totemic Armor, Jaundiced Bone Armor and the other Velious armors just LOOK like plate.
Shaman ARE a Chain-wearing class. Just like Rangers and Rogues. Just because they have Uberloot that LOOKS like Plate, just like Rangers and Rogues do, doesn't mean they're a Plate-wearing class.
Look at the stats of any non-magical form of plate armor and you won't see any of them with SHM written in the Class slot, the same way that RNG or ROG won't be in there.
Verant first started doing this way back in the old days with Rubicte armor which had a Chain-based Class list but had a Plate LOOK.
Yeah, but do you rinse and repeat? I don't bother washing my hair twice in the shower, I reckon it's the shampoo companies trying to get us to use twice as much...
too bad it doesnt have the regrowth of the grove effect like other velious druid BPs have, but if you have another velious or PoH druid BP and get this you can just switch em for the effect and then put this one back on
