I was farming skill trades stuff in hate and pick up all the no-trade armor and did a turn in Legionnaire armor to Warlord Skriek warrior guildmaster on evil side and recieved a raw diamond. thought this was dead as this was first time in years I try to kill in hate. But the turn ins still work :)

ok the turn in person for this is on the evil side were the melees guild masters are. hes a warlord and a iksar so u no it him.
Does anyone have any definite information on if there is someone to turn the Legionnare armor into in the Plane of Knowledge? It seems that every other class can turn it in... to about 3 different warlords. Yet, none for iksars :(

I have turned in Iksar Shaman armor to the Iksar Shaman trainer on the evil side of PoK. I'm sure there is an Iksar Warrior trainer there as well.

Well, Im a Female Iksar warrior Talk about rare. Im on my 53 lvl and with my added AA points in STA STR and REgen. I regen 15 hps sitting with no regen gear. Plus i Have 2515 hps. I think thats a pretty good tank. I love this BP.

I like the fact that there are not many of us out there. It gives me pride when people mistake me for a Shadow Knight, and I stick my chest out and say, "No, I am an Iksar Warrior!" People are pretty amazed that we actually exist. Especially in the high end game. The road is tough, but well worth the journey.
As for our usefulness, we make excellent tanks. Sure, we don't have the strength of an ogre or troll, nor the stamina. But in the end, we beat all others out on AC, which is more important than what most people give it credit for. What is a warriors job? To tank. AC is a big factor on who you stick on the front line to take those hits. Sure, I may not have the HP of a ogre or troll, but with higher AC, I won't need to. I will be taking less hits, or the hits will do less damage to me. As long as I can hold that agro, so that the others can do their job, then I am doing mine.
For my other Iksar brothers out there, look at getting into Dragon armor from Western Wastes if you can. Damn good armor till you get planar. Axegoreth Belt of Defense: AC 20, +15 STR/WIS. You can twink out an Iksar Warrior with good gear and out AC any tank out there. With jewelry and other items, like the Str of Grodan, you can build up the base STR/STA as well. Plus we get Regen. Oft times we will get done with a major fight, I will sit down, slap on my Iksar Regen BP, bandage up, then regen the rest while other non-Troll/Iksar warriors are only barely over half, ready to pull and tank the next mob.
Iksar warriors make excellent tanks. I am proud of my decision to make one, and damn proud that I stuck it out.

my 2 cp u cant compare this armor to colbalt. colbalt is better but colbalt is also 4 times harder to get then this, and on an earlier post someone said 40 to 60ac bonus by 50 well u also have to think that since ur skills dont go up from 40 to 50 then u really get that bonus at 40 not 50. and new bonuses that came out for iksar by 60 u looking at more closer to 100 or more ac bonus and all war's know that 100ac is a big dif. and another thing war do more then be a meat shield who do u think does most of the dam when u fight high mr mobs and taking down gods and dragons war's are the ones do most of the dam and keeping the agro so the week magic user will not die. just my 2cp

haha whoever thinks iksar warriors arent good tanks have never really played one or got fustrated..at lvl 46 i have 964ac unbuffed and 2083hp i can kick any equal lvl melee cept very twinked ogres like Unghure on my server heh..if u take time to find out what types of items ARE available to u then u will have no problem. i consider it a fun challange to look for the armors that we can use and if u dedicate urself to being kick *** u will be...tank is not a class, its a frame of mind.

VI screwed up Iksar's balance. They thought they'd make a tradeoff between iksar's naturaly AC and their inability to wear plate. (cobalt, indi, etc) Then they realized they were wrong, and made this stuff to replace cobalt.
FYI the reason ogre warriors are so good is because their base stamina is 140, before points are added. Their base strength is a good 60 on top of an Iksar's, which makes a huge difference as well. Basically, a 50+ iksar warrior is giving up 60 strength and 1khp for their extra AC which was fairly well negated (before the lego hate armor) because iksar's can't wear plate. (read: ranjurs) This armor was designed to make iksar warriors good again.

Im an Iksar warrior and damn proud of it. And it shows if you ever read anyof my other post. Well I knew i would not be wearing anything tht smelled like Plate thats not my grip altho an iksar in plate would look like a mean son of a..... anyhow when i got my set of Trooper scale the Iksar equivalent of crafted i looked in here to see what was the next sted and to my horror i found that it was *drum role* Kael, skyshrine, PoG armor how horible. well im glad i have something to go in between those 2 extreem. And for all of those up there or down there depending how you arange your post order that said "Ogres and troll are better" that may be BUT.... When that statment is made i can say for a fact that you have no sens of fashion or look whatsoever. dont deny it an ogre or troll are the uglyest thing out there and out of those that look decent the iksar is the only one who dosent have a tin can on the head so there now that that said bye and hope you big ugly thing disapear from the face of norath when luclin comes out and get a better look maybee ill finaly be able to to look one of you whitout falling to the ground laughing as you try to fit in a plate armor thats 2 size to small.
Well I have read some of your other posts, and all that I could see is that you enjoy making lots of grammatical errors and huge run-on sentences. Why must people get on these pages and rip on other peoples opinions? If someone wants to make an ogre, troll, iksar, or whatever kind of warrior they want, then what do you care? All you prove by posting things like this above is that you do not have a clear thought process, and assume that everyone reading your posts has the same boggling sentence structure that you do. Reading things like this makes my head throb and makes me wish more people had payed attention in English class during third grade. You want people to respect your opinions? Then I would suggest organizing your thoughts better before scrawling a load of dribble all over your computer screen and hitting the 'post message' button. It will save yourself from looking like an idiot, and perhaps someone might actually take something from your train of thought. Thank you.

Well, I play an iksar warrior. Yes its true, but i love it. You can compare me to ANY warrior with ANY gear the same level as me, and 9 out of 10 times my ac will be higher (I DO have some nice equip). I seriously think iksar can be the best warrior race in the game. Think about this: Everyone would think a ogre in FULL beserkers armor would haul ***? Well he would, now put full beserkers armor on an Iksar who gets a natural ac bonus. What do you get? An even more haul *** warrior. Then to top it off, we get a natural regen! Admit it, Iksar rule, we will soon take over Norrath and leave you all beging for our mercy.

To be perfectly frank, I do not mean to be a flamer, If I am I do apologize. But to look at this thread I have noticed that those arguing about this armor are those who are not iksar warriors. Granted I've bone my share of complaining but Heck it wasn't about armor.. I get Regen and Nutso AC so I never cared. I talked to a GM ONCE and that was about weaponry. And that was to find out if it existed in the game That was about Oriental Weapons because I play my Warrior as a samurai of Marr. So I rely upon the skill not the kit. Just my 2 CP worth

why does the iksar armor have better stats than indicolite armor, when iksars were supposed to be penalized? sure its 2 ac lower but they do have the bonus and they get resists that the other warriors don't. Earlier someone was saying they were worse than a troll, which is one of the best warriors, now compare them to humans and halflings.

Whats wrong with halfling warriors??? Mine is an level 33 twink with a lammy, jagged balde of mourning( or glowing black sword or green jade broadsword ) and i can taunt off almost anyone at least 5 levels over me and it is funny when clerics have to heal me and not the higher level warriors. Halflings have the best starting dex and agi so i dont have to worry about that kind of gear even though my stats kick som serious *** anyways.
at level 20 i was abel to take guys 8 levels higher than me numerous times over and over also got iksar regen bp with fbss which helps out a bit and got some cobalt armor thrown in the mix too well enough of my ranting halfings are the best warrior race and will kick any other races warrior ***!

As far as I know this is the best armor that an Iksar Warrior can wear. Now who is complaining? The Iksar that gets this or the other warriors who can get Kael Armor?
Ikkies can wear most all of the velious armors Kael, SS, Thurg, POG, etc.

humans and halflings dont have an xp hit *because* they aernt buffed as a tank, troll and ogre do.
So your asking for a comparison between XP hit and non XP hit races is a falacy, because while the XP hit exists there must also be a justification for it..

"shadowknights have a XP hit because they are worthless, lets make them more worthles because thats WHY they have an XP hit" (no sk aernt worthless, just people think they are for whatever reason [pre buff I could understand it a little, but not as bad as people made it])
lets look at balance
races with a noteable XP hit: iks troll ogre
troll:ogre cant be stuned from front
troll:ogre cobalt and other plate
iks:troll regen
iks no plate
lets add this up in a group setting. An iksar is lacking compared to the other XP hit classes: AC, stun resistance, and faction in Antonica.
To justify the XP hit, pre-velious/plane upgrade iksars only had regen, which quite simply anyone can get from a fungi tunic withought adding a nasty XP hit.
in the end I'd like conclude that: iksars where NOT given an xp/armor hit BECAUSE they where intended to be a worthless race, they where given it because it was balanced, compared to the armor at the time (indo/crafted). Once cobalt became regular the whole balance shifted and 40ac became worthless except on IKS monks.
This is something I see often, please when posting about nerfs in the past, remember what the balance was like at that stage in the game. Because quite simply the balance of this game has shifted so dramaticly from hybrid dominance, to casters being god, to rogues being the divine being, all in 2 years. Clerics have gone from the most worthless joke to the absolutly required raid/group entity, and wariors have gone from a 'roleplayers' class to being the absolute best tank around, and tanks becoming an absolute requirment with summoninig being added to every other xp mob you fight...
so please, remember the context of the origional nerf/buff before you use it for todays context. Because quite simply this game is very dynamic and everchanging.

Just got mine in Hate last night along with the pauldrons.
Got the helm from a previous hate raid.
I have been using a mish-mash of Trooper Scale,Rygorr and

Its nice to see we now have decent armor. Although I'll
miss the 35 hp per tick regen when stacked with Chloroplast.
I go on Hate raids and I'm the only Iksar warrior there, I get all the gear. LOL
We are a rare breed and I LIKE IT that way.

Umm....why don't you use your brain? He says he used the Ry'gorr BP AND others, like the Iksar Cerimonial (sp?) BP. Why do so many people post things without thinking first?

I'm currently the highest actively played Iksar Warrior on 7th Hammer. I also agree with the other person who said that they feel ineffective as a tank with what they have. I'm currently wearing a TreeWeave 25ac 10str, which isn't terrible but at level 54 it's weak. I have played every class there is to at least level 20 if not higher just to see how I like them or for when I decide I'd like a change of pace. Since hitting the 50+ levels I've played my Iksar less and less because I felt there was nothing to really keep me going.
Being able to take damage is what a warrior is for, the fact that they can hand out damage also is a plus, but let's face it:Warriors are Meatshields. Plain and simple. When you get past level 50 you quickly realize that you're there to take the damage while other classes deal out all the damage. If you're expecting as a warrior to be the one who kills every mob, it will take you forever, LOL. Warriors take too long to kill things on their own, that's why you have other classes there to help. Making this kind of armor for iksars to wear is very needed and desired.
When I made my warrior it was immediately after the expansion came out. I wasn't aware of the fact that Iksars couldn't wear planar or any other kinds of "normal warrior armor". I know a lot of friends who have their warriors with much higher ac then myself even though they're several levels lower then me. What this means is I take more damage, clerics use more mana to heal me, and exp goes slower cause there is more downtime.
To be honest with you, if I'd known that Iksars couldn't wear any planar I wouldn't have created him. This gives me a reason to start going with my warrior again. I knew a lot of other Iksar Warriors who were around level 45 when I was 35. Every one of them has started a new char and never plays their Iksar anymore because they found out how ineffective they were compared to other races. Hopefully they'll decide to dust off the Iksars and give them another try.
As for the post from someone else stating their concern about pieces of armor just rotting because there were no Iksars there who could use it. I truly wish that EQ had some form of artificial intelligence that could detect what races were in zone and try and make it fair on drops. C'est la vie. However, since I've been a part of around 40 Fear and Hate raids, I wouldn't feel too bad if nothing but Iksar armor dropped the next time I went. (I highly doubt that would happen)

Ooops, hit button too soon.. Just for everyones piece of mind. I am a 59th Iksar Warrior on Zeb. At level 59 with base 100 agi i have an AC rating of 722 naked as in no gear. I currently have the Legion Boots, Bracer arms and gauntlets. once i get a full set ill post what my gear is and what my unbuffed AC rating is so that you can compare to regular warriors. But as most people are coming to realize Iksar warriors arent the joke that a lot of people thought they were when all anyone saw was that they couldnt wear plate based armor. With Hate armor now and also Kael and Skyshrine quest armor being Iksar capable Iksars will be moving up to one of the best if not the best ACd warriors there is. And our natural regen is also a benefit, currently at 59th i have 10pt standing and 16pt sitting regen.

I agree that is about time that Iskar warriors got upgrades, and I agree that verant give them there own planar armor seperate from other warriors, because as an Iskar, you have an inately higher AC. Now, my only problem is that this is just TWO ac less than a normal warriors Indocolite BP, so I'm questioning if it's too good. Sure, you're happy, but part of playing the class is getting worse armor and higher natural AC. Now, I don't have an iskar warrior, so you'ld have to tell me if the the natural AC boost is minuscule or of substantial notice, but from what I understand, they DO have a signifigantly higher (natural) AC, so to give them something that drops off a mob that is just 2ac less than the normal races warrior seems slightly un-balanced. Just my opinion, not trying to offend anyone.

they have a lot less hp than an ogre... can be stunned from front... are large race... kos EVERYWHERE... major exp penalty... not really the greatest stats...in addition, they didn't get to start their iksars till kunark while some of us have been around a year before that... Iksar should be able to wear the same armor anyone else does... they're no more powerful than a troll... in fact worse stats as a warrior and kos in more places. /shrug. L8r

Actually Iksar gain only +40 ac at level 50 - thats about 25 raw ac.
Hey, 40ac is nothing to scoff about, my warrior would love 40 more ac by the time he hits lvl 50, but I suppose that isn't as astronomically high as I thought it would be, actually it's quite lower. And I was thiking more about it, and iskars actually get less than 2ac less than the warrior BP, because the AC is multiplyed by 1.5 so the Indocolite is really 52.5 or 53 for arguments sake, and this is 50...ok, so I just did the calculation and it's just 3ac lower :P what do I know. But still, it seems this IS well deserved by Iskar Warriors, and I relate to those of you playing a Isk, the temptation to play a Troll or Ogre is heavy, but it's nice to be different, that's why i'm a Half Elf.

Are you about the AC increase? I thought AC bonus was level + 10. So a 50 warrior would get a 60ac bonus :)

i have it, it looks like fungi tunic when worn, a little darker green, yet really light colored as a whole...looks really nice.

This armor looks exactly like trooper scale armor (Iksar only warrior quest armor from 2 skorpiks in OT...like crafted)

Will be a waste if this drops when our guild is up there... im forseeing many of these will be rotting and a new name will come about from these uber items that no one can use. "Fulnocu" fuggin uber loot no one can use.

I am very happy for my Iksar warrior brothers, but I hope they added more Kira to hate. Right now a full raid (clearing the plane) will generally only net you 3-6 pieces of indico.
If half those are now going to be warrior / iksar, a lot of stuff is going to rot and a lot of warriors are going to be short on plane armor.
Anyone who has explored the new and improved hate find that there are more kira?

aye, more kira would definitly be nice. in the raids i have participated in and cleared hate, i counted maybe one or two an hour. so that'd make around 10 or so kira's (not counting the SW corner spawns). it'd be nice to finally see kira's in the same proportion as every other mob in hate.

Better armor? Well lets compare this to the other warrior's Kunark BP (I know this isn't found in Kunark, but if you're playing an Iksar you hav RoK). Cobalt BP: Wt 20.00. +45 AC, +12 Str, +12 Sta, +12 Dex, +50 HP, LORE MAGIC Effect of Invigorate. Drops off Trakanon
Thats got the Iksar BP beat by 12 ac and has an invig proc. I don't think the saves or +3 better stats on the Iksar BP are significant. Thus the BP the other races get is better.

This is not meant to be better than Cobalt. It's equal to if not a little bit better than Indicolite, which drops from the same mob as Lego Scale.

damn right, being an iksar warrior for 53 levels, i say i deserve a bp with more than 18ac, ive been wearing ry'gorr armor for about 13 levels now, and i am one of the most inefficent tanks out there.. iksars so deserved this, thank god.

heh... this is not BETTER than indo... Almost equivalent as are the other pieces and I believe this new armor set is justified... Prior to this we had few armor choices post 50 that would allow us to compete with other warriors in cobalt and indo... Our only better options come from SoV in the form of Berserker or insanely hard to get quest armor... YAY LEGO SCALE :)

I may not speak for all my brethren, but for me, personally, I did *not* play an Iksar for the armor nor statistics, and the existance of the Iksar Warrior is not simply there to have an armorless warrior, as you so bluntly suggested. I play an Iksar Warrior for four reasons:

Roleplay Aspect - Being a mighty soldier, fighting to rebuild a once glorious empire. A good position for a 'hero' role in a literary sense.
Persona - I like the thought of being seen or inturperated as a savage reptilian monster. Admitted, I find more people who either call me Gecko or HalfDragon, which is annoying.
Social Role - I find it enjoyable to be the member of a group of friends and being able to produce out-of-the-ordinary situational comedy for them. Example, casually wagging my tail in their presance, and other small things that simply make a person more lively to be around.
Tail Rubbing - Yes, it happens more than you think, and certanly no complaints here! 8)

Now, with these in mind, I see no reason Iksars should be condemned to wear lesser armors, and so I am in favor of Legionnaire Scale. Now, as for your rebuttle...

Iksars asking for decent armor is in no way trying to tip balences, especially not ones so drastic. Hypothetically speaking, even if Iksar Warriors became somewhat superrior to all others, there would still not be enough of us to tip the scales (No pun intended). Iksars over level 45 would be in short supply. You have about 3 to 5 who were already there, and about 2 added on from people just wanting to play them for stats. Most people don't want to be lizards. I personally like it (Especially after the login message "Have you hugged an Iksar today?").
I have offered a clean, fair, honest, and *polite* rebuttle. If there are differances of opinion, please feel free to state them, just please do so with decent manners. Nothing turns a valid point into a pointless argument as fast as senseless flaming. Thank you for yout time and attention.

Druids get a pet its called Nature walkers behest, Lvl 30 black bear pet. LEarn about your own class before you complain and whine about it not having things.
Druids are weakened so they can do a little of each thing, They dont really accel in one spell type.

and if you dont think Druids get clarity look up the spells Spirit of oak and Protection of the glades BOTH have clarith built in, Protection is a group spell that adds hp AND mana rgen along wit HP and AC, so quit whining about druid's I love my druid and they way things are, giving a druid clarity early on would kill off other races purposes, I beleive the purpose of different classes in EQ is to add variety to groups and to make people group.

Actually last i checked verant made stuff in game and not whiners.
So thus verant musta saw that a whole race would never have a reason to goto planes and decided to do something about it, along with make the armor comparable to armor before kunark came out.

/agreed Some druids are big whiners (rivaled by monks in a lot of cases though)
I've played many different classes to higher levels and a druid is among them. I'm not overly disappointed by seeing this but I don't see the whining being caused by anything other than greed. Be it by druids or any other class. Greed is the problem between many druids and other classes such as the cleric (one of the biggest)
But it is rather inappropriate for anyone to criticize anyone else for wanting better stuff. Surely you can't SERIOUSLY sit there and tell me that you don't desire better stuff when you get higher level. If you did I'd have to say you were lying and I really don't like calling people on doing that. Quit whining about desire and enjoy the new items. Otherwise find a different game.

Well, I play a druid and a monk so I must be an Uber whiner. So along those lines I must say that this armor should be monk and druid only! Cause Verant is always pooping on our heads and stuff. And monks should be able to cast all necromancer spells. There I said it. Boohoo Boohoo =(
