Is it still MQ able?
It is not enough that one learns of the quest recipe from the internet, one must BE TOLD the quest components from the quest NPC IN GAME.
Using /CON or the "C" key to check your alliance with the quest NPC is not enough. Oh sure, if it says you are an ally then yes, he will give you the quest. But before then, how do you know?
Ask. Ask the NPC "What breastplate?" If she says. "If you find a corroded breastplate and three pieces of black marble bring them to me..." etc., then she will give you the breastplate in return for the components.
If you ask about a specific piece of armor and she does not tell you WHAT you need in order to receive the quested armor, then what you need to do is RAISE FACTION.
It appears from some of the readings before me that "amiable" is not enough. Apparently somebody went purely by the recipe and did not ask the quest NPC.
Loremaster Dorinan kindly considers my cleric, and she tells him what is needed.
Spend another hour or two out in the cold raising your faction from "amiable" (+100 to +500 range) to "kindly" (+500 to +700 range) in order to finish these quests. And since that range is only 200 points, go ahead and raise the faction to "warmly" for good measure. You'll be helping your Claws of Veeshan faction while you are at it - that's the next step to a more peaceful existance on Velious. =)

I have this on my 30 cleric. When does this proc?

I can say 100% that it is level 46. I have had this on my cleric since level 20, and have checked whether it works at every level. Yesterday I dinged 46 and now it works :) Awesome

Recieved this today the armor dropped off of a random mob inside arena(we were camping right arena) I won the roll, I bought the black marbles in bazaar 2 for 550pp 1 for 650pp. I was very excited to recieve it as a 51 cleric

if you are saying "mark of karn" isn't a good spell you are sadly mistaken. do you even have a cleric? if you did you'd know how awesome that spell is.

For the people that have the breastplate, just curious to know who dropped it for you in Kael. I know it is a random drop and rare at that, but just for the hek of it hehe.

Still trying to figure out at what level bp effect starts working? (Forbidden Rites greaves are usable on lvl 32) at lvl 37 bp still says 'too low lvl to use the effect' :(

Not sure myself.. there was a rumor that it was usable at L42 or 46 ..

Was wondering if there's a cleric out there who has his/her full set of thurg armor and can post up their magelo profile so they can stop all these noobs from whining and B$%#%^&# about how the thurg armor for clerics sucks in wich case I don't think it sucks. Thanks :)

I would love to know where/how to obtain the Faithstone of Nature that you have in your magelo profile. I cannot find any info on it at Allakhazams, or anywhere else for that matter...can you tell me how to obtain it?

I think if you're going to post a picture of these quest items, at least turn your velious textures on so one can see what it really looks like instead of the generic luclin graphics.

I cast the MoK spell all the time - that's 125 for each mob, assuming that a) I don't fizzle, and b) It isn't resisted.
by having this in an item, I can click to my heart's content and save my mana for heals or a critical nuke
I got my corroded bp tonight - so now I need to find some black marbles :)

The effect is NOT set standard. For the short period of time that you could see ANY heal effect, I tested this a few times on lower lvl mobs. While meleeing, I got betweeen 4 and 8 hp healed per swing. The cast time DOES take a little bit to land, but, as you move into camps like velks, seblis, temple of veeshan, it's worth it to land this. On some mobs, it's just to easily remove thier insane DS, on others, like frogs in seb, a good slow, a fast tank, and one MoK, basicaly let you med through a fight without having to heal your tank. I personaly spent 2 hours in B3 at lvl 53 with this bp, lvl 57 & 59 shammys, and a 59 tank. I MoKed every pull, and landed MAYBE 3 heals in two hours, and that was mostly to our groups wizard=P

Does any one know what the cast time on proc is?
If its much more then spell (3sec) it might be better spending time on medding, unless aggro is a big factor on this spell.. any one that know please reply

It's 10 seconds and is pretty fun to pull with. Really useful pulling wizzie and druid class mobs that have their own DS's since it replaces their's with yours. Aggro has not been an issue and I have attempted to mark every single mob I have fought and not aggroed once as a direct result of the bp (outside of pulling but it doesn't take much to taunt off). I have marked the low level WW dragons which helps out the with AoE's but only to a point. Combo this with the quest legs and I have rarely had to cast heals in Velks and other exp grind areas especially coupled with monks.

Mark of Karn will not "replace their's with your's"
Mob with a damage shield up will stop spamming the <<<You are Burned>>> part after you land this spell. What happened is you lowered the damage you take from the mobs damage shield. You only 'remove' the dmg shield effects when your healing is more then the damage of his shield.
Check the numbers yourself. You will still see your H.P. drop when hitting a mob with a nice damage shield. HOWEVER; you lose the spam with Mark of Karn and what the group doesnt know wont drive me nuts by repeated requests of /group say Please Nullify that shield. /g Please Nullify that shield someone. /g Hey will someone please take down that damn damage shield. /g Damn you just zapped my D.O.T dude. /g Yea you zapped his dot and damage shield is still up. Do it again please :) /g NO you will zap my other dot please dont.
<<<< CLERICS are the GLUE of Group sanity and with a snap of the fingers or clicky click make things all better for the Insane folks your grouped with. I know we have all wondered,how do they get out of the noob zone when I am gone :)

Regardless of what level I am or what kind of guild I'm in, what would be easier to obtain, and worth it, a full suit of Donal's or a full suit of Forbidden Rites stuff? Thanks in advance
Legs are useless, BP's useful during downtime. Only thing I deem useful in the Donal's set is Vambs for healing.

the effect on the BP has been changed now to Mark of Karn which is a spell that you cast on a mob which will give it a heal(negative damage) shield of 6. So you figure a tank that duel wields should be healed 30 per round if successful in hitting each time. Which doesn't look too great on paper but when it adds up on a big raid with 20 tanks hammering down it has an impact. Also this removes all damage shields it has so it's NOT 15 dmg shield - 6 heal shield = 9 dmg. Figured I'd make the comment here and now before anyone hands in and goes HEY THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG PIECE ;-)
Just curious to know what it looks like, considering that it was conspicuously left off the fashion tables. Anyone know?

The best way to do the faction is to kill the Drakkel wolves and the giants in GD. I had a Monk friend pull al the wolves he could find, had an enc chain stun while I chained Upheaval. Works like a champ. 20 30 trains will get you fom App to Warmly.

Ive done the legs and am about to do the BP. I couldnt evenget it until Kindly. if she will give you the quest it should be doable. Am Ally now so no worries.

I'm a cleric from e'ci. I've completed the BP quest and helm quest with no problems. I tried to do the arms quest last night and she ate my corroded arms and 3 jaundice gems. I spoke to a GM about it and have sent a email to them asking why. I am amiably to her and I've done nothing to change my faction with her. The GM wasn't able to answer why with being amiably it didn't work
I'm curious if the quest is broken, faction change or just really bad luck. Also how do you increase your faction with her to start with?

According to one of the patch messages (I think...the one when they added the "ally" faction level?) you need kindly faction to do the Thurgadin armor quests, and ally faction to do the Kael and Skyshrine armor quests. The faction needed used to be lower.
