Alright, when does this thing actually FIRST start procing? What lvl? Ive read almost all of these post (got way back into the past!)and havent seen a post with when it firsts procs. Any estimates or facts of when it does would be nice.

It depends on what type of class you are if you are a warrior sell the lsoee and keep the defiance. If your a ranger sell the defiance

Just got one of these and I am using it as main hand weapon, with a Warding Star (14/24) off hand.
I have seen lots of people using it on off hand, but my idea is that with max haste, a faster weapon than this on main hand isnt beneficial, as a lower delay would hit the cap, and usually have less damage to it. Does anyone have a definite opinion on that?
Also, while trying it on low level mobs near FP/EC I noticed that my off hand weapon hit before my main hand weapon, is it just me or does that sound weird?
Note: Price is under 10k on the Nameless and doesnt seem to go up.

max haste since luclin is 100%. to determine the new delay after haste, divide the delay by 1+haste% (in decimal, ie 50% haste is .50).
the new delay for this after 100% haste is 11:
22/(1+1). it has been said that the minimum haste you can have is 10.

WOW -- i wish the minimum haste I could have was 10!!! I know you meant minimum delay but hey, some part of me has to be smart so it might as well be my rear ;)

Just got one tonight. Using an exquisite velium warsword in main hand and this puppy in offhand. Nice combo. I'm extremely happy. 12 21 and 12 22, not sure if 12 21 was fast enough to lead with I see many using lammys or defiances, but the damage output is way nice. I have a silvery belt of contention at 21% haste, what amounts to be an fbss with stats..10ac 4sta 5dex 5int. Now I'll just save for a better haste item, I'm figuring on using this combo for awhile.

If anyone is thinking of selling this weapon anytime soon. I would have to say NO!! Hold on to it. Within the next 2-3 mo the price is going to skyrocket.
I currently play on the Saryrn server, and when Velious came out almost every major guild was on Kael faction (cause its the best meele faction). What I have been noticing lately however is that those guilds are starting to rebel on Kael for its nice loots and quest pieces (AoW,Tormax etc..)
Not may people have the faction anymore to finish this quest. Even if they did, they still need a full guild to hunt the dragons for the heads.
You see where Im goin with this... Frostbringers altough semi common now, wont be for much longer.
Wait for the price to go up :) I know I am.

Perhaps the guilds on your server are very weak...? At this very moment, I am in a 5-man group hunting the dragons in WW. Most of them are really quite easy. DRU CLE WAR RNG MNK is our lineup, all 60. Very simple.

FB's tend to go for around 10k or so on Saryrn, they were going for around 6-8 a few months ago.

Just picked up one of these bad boys on emarr for 9k. I'm getting at least one or two procs a fight and thats with dex of 84. Only thing is, I find myself fighting in velks and GD atm and getting lots and lots of resists.
Am using it currently with a centi and getting nice regular hits for both in the 30s to 50s. Also have a lammy as backup but dont seem to need it to hold aggro.
Am looking to upgrade lammy to a crafted velium warsword and then i will rockt.

I had my FB since level 35, and it began proc'ing immediately when I dinged 40.

Got this wep for 3k and a Centi LS, mix it with a Lamentation, and get good haste item, and your set to solo mobs that cons blue.

Aye... I use the same... I'd like to replace my mainhand with a Luclin drop like something not too hard from akheva or umbral... but ain't much that's tradable better than this combo... swiftblade or exquisite weps but that's about it... haven't found anything droppable that's better than lsoee for offhand (at least for most mobs)

I currently use Defiance prim Lammy sec. I'm looking to upgrade the Lammy with this weap, and keep the Defiance for the AC in primary hand.
I'm using a Seb Croaking Dirk in Primary (1hp, 10/18 4ac 2agi 5mr 5pr) and the Frostbringer in Secondary.

I'm currently using this in primary with a Venom axe in secondary. 22dly isn't near as fast as the Lammy I was using, but with my high dex as a woodelf I get procs quite often out of both axes which holds taunt quite well thank you.
Remember that it doesn't matter if the mob resists your proc, it raises you the same amount on the hate list. Ask any Druid trying to snare on a raid.

I use the Frostbringer in my primary and the Venomous Axe in my secondary. I found that when I use the Frostbringer primary I proc more often with the Vemonous Axe. I love this combination and gave up my Centi LS for it. I proc SO often and have found that blue mobs go down FAST!

Prices seem to vary alot on servers. Xegony for instance has now dropped these to 5-8k at most. Seems most items on Xegony are either ridicualesly low or extremly high.

xeg is cheap as heel, why you ask? because it is the oldest server in the game, lammys used to be 5k before luclin, now they sell for 2k, maybe 1.5k if yer lucky, i used to be on drinal, man, lammys were like 10k, but on xegony, everything is cheap, ah well, i go a tiny coin purse in SS with my friend, gonna buy me some uber-*** weps

Got one today in EC on Terris-Thule server. Paid 8300pp and gave up a lammy and fbss. total value about 18-19k, so I got a pretty good deal. Went to KC shortly thereafter and never had to TOUCH my taunt button to maintain ago. Even if someone else haas a hard taunt, this bad boy can take the taunt away for a bit. Needless to say, I'm extremely happy with my new toy! =)

I have a 51 warrior and dual weild a Balanced Velium Warsword in my primary ( 11/21 ) and a Lammy in my offhand. Neither has a proc. Last night i was in KC in a group in LCY and within seconds after our puller would bring a new mob i would get all the aggro. I was NOT taunting at all and our puller was a 54 warrior dual weilding a Defiance in primary and Frostbringer in offhand. Am i just ugly or what? Seems to me the Defiance/FB would be a better combo for keeping aggro but that was definitely NOT the case here and he was 3 levels higher than me. Level aggro perhaps?

There are a ton of resons why you could have gotten aggro over the other warrior:
1.) The level agro issue u mentioned.
2.) You could have had a higher %haste item.
3.) If he had no dex it wouldn't proc enough to hold agro.
4.) He is not hitting taunt, or just sucks /shrug

You are using a 11/21 Vel warsword in the primary and a 9/19 Lammy in the off hand. Your offhand weapon can not swing faster then your primary weapon. This turns your Lammy into a 9/21 (this is bad). Unless the Velium Warsword has a nice proc that I am not aware of you should put the lammy in pri, or probably a better idea put something like a Centi Long Sword in your off hand. Just my 2cp.

I don't believe this is true. Weapon delays are independent. However, the end advice is good, because with a faster weapon in main hand you get to apply your level damage bonus more often, and you get (slightly) more swings in because you don't have to make a Dual Wield check to swing the fast weapon.

The proc on this weapon also places a 4 point damage shield on the wielder for the duration of the debuff. The damage shield will be be applied even if the proc is resisted by the target.

On Rallos Zek I recently went shopping around for one of these and this is what I found:
If you are willing to pay 100% cash for it, which almost no one does anymore, at least on my server, you're looking at 18-20k.
If you want to trade for it, people usually ask 24-25k in trade.

Glati dropped a "great dragon head" for us a couple of weeks ago. subsequently, we received the cloak, via questing. anybody know what determines whether or not a WW dragon drops a "greater" (ie - frostbringer) head? is it randomized luck, or level, certained named, etc?

The head required for the quest is a GREATER "(ER)"
Dragon Head.Dragons in WW often drop this for my guild when we do it.You turn the GREATER dragon head into Dalmaaz Stormslayer,who is on King Tormax faction.Most people are not sure how to raise Tormax faction.It is done easiest by killing dwarves in Easts Wastes and GD.Though killing the dwarves alone will NOT raise Tormax faction;sometimes they will drop heads.With a bag full of Dwarf heads in your hand go into the kael back and hand them in one-by-one to Captain Bvellos and he will award you with +tormax faction.It takes about 40 heads to become non KoS and about 130 heads to be able to do the quest.It requires high-end "Amiable" faction.
(Low end will sill not work,If he wont give with low end amiable at least you know your VERY close;You do NOT need to be an ally to do the quest,just high end amiable.)
The hardest part of the quest if definately raiseing the faction..In EW Coldain cooks,lookouts,warriors,and missionarys all drop coldain heads for faction.In GD Coldain Beast taimers drop heads as well for tormax faction.

another way to get faction up is by killing Royal guards, huntsman, and scribe in icewell. however, you'll need a raid for to do it. :)

I am up to amiable with Tormax thru turning in heads. You can turn them in 4 at a time and you will get the faction and exp messages 4 times.

how odd that a 1 hand slashing weapon is limited to the 2 hand slashing classes. Bards and rogues got a bit shafted on this item.
No bard or rogue in thier right mind would want this, rangers should stay away from it too. This weapon creates MASSIVE agro, which non-MA classes should stay away from. Unless of course you want to try out your CR skills...

Give greater dragon head to Dlaamaz Stormslayer for the frostbringer. He is on Tormax Faction. Get tormax up by killing in Icewell and turning in Dorf heads to Bvellos.
Axe procs at level 40. Thats right, level 40! Does 60DD and minus 15AC to the enemy for one minute. At level 40 with 92 dex it seems to proc about 1-3 times per SOLO battle with my ogre warrior against geonids in Crystal Caverns. I have gotten up to 7 procs in one fight though. This proc always does 60DD + the -15 AC unless it is resisted. against geonids it is resisted about 10% of the time. the orcs in CC never have resisted it and Stalagterrors resist it about 20% of the time. it is cold based so not the greatest thing for velious monsters, (although i get a very low resist rate against velious monster with it) but great for Kunark and the old world monsters, especially Skyfire. The proc looks like a Frost Spiral of Al'Kabor. Very cool. The proc message is "Soandso is blasted by a gust of bitter cold." I hope this helps.

Why should you waste all that time and effort with faction and killing dragons when you can just go to kael, kill Dlammaz and get the axe?
If he's holding an axe, he drops the axe. If he doesn't have the axe, he drops the cloak.

Well, A) you need a big raid to kill Dlammaz and B) Kael faction is the BEST for tanks (highest AC) and therefore many people WILL NOT give up their Kael faction to go on a raid to have the chance to get this weapon. Raising faction isn't all that bad (just go kill dorfs in Thurg B)

Ive got one of these and the proc is around 60dmg and a 15ac buff. Which means this weapon buffs your ac by 22. I dual weild this and a Swordbreaker. Meaning I have 32ac in my weapons. And NO ONE would sell this for 10k, at least not in the near future. This are extremely difficult to get due to faction. I had to hunt in WW several times before my Kromzek faction was good enough to do this quest. This weapon is much better than a lamentation because Ac beats stats anyday. And the massive taunt on this lets the abuse go where it should, on the tank.
