Just won the roll on this beauty last night -ratio is nearly identical to Icetooth, but with great stat buffs. The lowish delay is a great thing, considering it can go in my 40th warriorette's offhand, which the claws couldn't. And now I can ditch my claws for some pp!

Race choice should factor in availability of useable items as well as faction and class restriction. It is a cool idea.
If it's part of some overall plate thing, I find it odd that I can use it as a Ranger. I'm pretty happy with it, mostly excited to have finally gotten a drop in SS at all ... it's about the same damage dealing as, say, an Icetooth Claw or a Crystallized Sword (1hs) - but with Str 5 and Dex 5 and 3 to all saves. So it's still pretty nice.

I got one, really not good enough to be noi drop in my opinion. My mudman gives out better damage overall, but this looks really nice and has lots of stat boost.

This sword was also nerfed. First day or so of Velious it was 10/24 and I liked it alot. Then it became 9/24. Not sure what the point of the nerf was, now it's a slighly underpowered weapon considering the hastle you have to go through to get it.

Well, there is a suit of Guardian Armor which is plate-based. This appears to be part of that set because it has the same name and also drops off the same stuff. Mayhap that is the reasoning behind it being non-iksar... it's part of a plate set.

Good Observation but if thats why verrant made it no Iksar Thats pretty DUMN

If you want logic, what about the shape of the grip, is't not quite right for those scaly iskar taloned claws and it looks to normal. If you wanted it for the Iskar then you needed to have some more abstract, you know.. Like a Crazy Straw!

i understand that its part of the armor set, but its a freakin sword. theres a ton (every other sword, i think, besides size limitations) of other swords that iksars can use. besides size or class restrictions, iksars can use damn near the same about of weapons any other race could.

i have seen plenty of weapons that only iskars can use. Maybe this a way of payin those damn iskars back.
