I turned in the head for the belt at amiable faction today. As a reference, he would NOT give me the quest when I hailed him, but still took the head and gave me the belt.

I was wondering what lvl is the minumum for someone to do this, becuase i have the head and im lvl 51, and can it be MQ'ed?
There is only one item to turn it so no... it cannot be MQed.
As for a level restriction... as far as I'm away there is none... as long as Tormax will talk to you you should be able to do this turn-in.

i did the quest KoS to rinfs & zeks
you just need a FD at least dubious to giants, and a rez class same requirement
get killed (duel), FDer will FD pull you corpse to KT feets, and rezzer will rez you there, the 2 guards on his sides are on KT faction, just loot dain's head on corpse, hail KT (to be sure you have the faction), turn in, loot corpse, gate out
this can be done solo if you're able to FD, but it's awesomly hard

You all argue about who deserves this belt for the AC or the HP or this or that. That's just stupid. The thing that makes this belt great is not any one thing, it is the combination of AC, HP, resists, regen effect, and (to some) the int/wis. These are a potent combination to ANY class. Guilds may choose to award the dain's head to certain key members (such as the guild's main puller, MA, main slower, etc) first; I know mine would. This does not mean, however, that other classes would not benefit from it just the same. Once those key people had one of these or something similar, it would probably become open to all members of the guild.

Dain belt is far better than Wormhusk for most melees. Stamina is nice, but its not hard to cap raid buffed. Group Boar adds +60 so you need 220-245 (depending if you have Planar Power max'd) to top off STA raid buffed. Stamina over 255 also yields diminished HP returns, so with shammy buff you only need 195 unbuffed STA before you start getting much smaller gains. 195-220 STA is not difficult to obtain for guilds at this level. My guild hasn't even scratched top-tier Ssra or Vex Thal yet and our rogues range from 180-240 STA unbuffed, its just not as tough as it used to be.
Now before Vex Thal, not counting a very tedious quest from Dozekar, there are only two innate AoB items attainable to most pure melees (this and Spirit Wracked Cords). 10 raw attack from AoB, which is 15 or 16 added to your ATK score with the modifier is awesome. Assuming everyone is at the haste cap besides what weapon you have ATK is what sets well geared rogues/monks apart from poorly geared ones. It makes a huge difference.

as a warrior, i would take dain belt over wormhusk belt. sta/str are always maxed anyways. the few things that aren't maxed are attack and resists, which only the dain belt offers. and regen is always nice.

AoB is Godly for rogues and nice in general for all other classes. I'd take the dorf belt over the wormhusk any day of the week.

The way most raid guilds work is a raid point system. It would take about 30 raids (give or take) to build up enough points to roll on this item. Anybody who has enough points can roll on the item, if they can use it. Class does NOT matter. Nobody is going to waste a month of raids to roll on a no drop item they can't quest or use.
is it instant cast effect or does it take hold when worn without bufficon?

I think that i've seen countless posts saying that this belt would be great for XXXXX class, because, in a group (yada yada yada).
Really if your in a guild that kills dain often, your probably in a raiding guild. So wouldnt it make since to distribute the thing based on a raid setting rather than a group setting?

Wow..this is really nice for any class, which is prolly why its all/all =). The 20ac 15 str 100hp and 0.0 wt makes it great for all melee (melee hybrids as well) the int and wis and mana make it good for hybrids and pure casters, including the 20 ac and 100hp :) I see why this is all/all..perfect for any class :)
Don't overlook the saves that everyone needs, according to this site, this is #3 on saves for SKs, the two above it being from NToV... haven't looked into other class's save belts but i know that good saves on a belt tend to be rather hard to come...
