Although atm you can pick up a centi war spear that it 20/30 with better stats for like 50pp. The same thing as the adamantite club, 15/25 plus a 60dmg stun was considered a bit overpowering and they didn't have it in as a drop until later. Now I see those for sale at 500pp and no one buys them. :p...
It is a very good sword, but I have to agree with the others, the BABS is a better weapon. A little slower,true, but comparing the dmg output, it's been the BABS,hands down that's won the day for me!
This should be 1h Slash to bring it to par ith difficulty / reward... With PoP out now, 1handed weapons with 2.0 ratio's are selling for less than 1k commonly. this item is officially worthless, I wouldnt even twink with this...
Make all new drops of this weapon 1 h slashers. Give the old 2 handed versions 10 more damage...

This is a sweet sword for lobies that need to bring up 2h slash, but i was thinking they should make it secondary only to bring seb loot up to par with Luclin. A centi ls is good for off hand, this would be better, and is harder to get.

After a wondeful session of some real roleplaying I was given this sword from a lvl 10 warrior who lay down his arms and gave up playing.
Anyway I am very happy with it. Hitting 29 max at lvl 10, hehe.

I was selling up loot at the merchants when all of a sudden the NPC offered me about 70 plat for the sword. What??? Looked like any other sword in the graphic, inspected the stats, and so of course I kept it. I have no clue where I got it, because I have only looted in QHills, BB, Surefall and EF, but I have to say that I feel like the luckiest warrior out there. My 2HS is appallingly low and it still hits for 28 every time it lands, and I can't imagine trading it in for quite a few levels yet. Sure there are uber weps out there that are better, but for a freebie I think I won't get much luckier. Seems like a great sword for warriors in their teens at least. The mammoth calves certainly don't like it that's for sure :o)

i got this sword at lv 25 and am still using it at lv 36 do you think it is still go and i am a lv 36 pally by the way.

Hey all, i need sum adivce..i have a pally and i am torn between BABS and this..and maybe a Mithril 2hander. What would be better? the BABS has a dmg/sec of 12 and the nathsar of 11, but the nathsar has +10 str...which is always nice. it would be nice to read some opinions..thats all..thanks.
I used 1hs almost exclusively up to L20, and would only use 2hs occassionally to try and train. I had giant militia longsword for 1hs and BABS for 2hs. At 20 the difference became apparent, after the damage cap came off. I started hitting for high 40s with the BABS, while 1hs stayed in the 20s. Combined with double attack, I can do serious damage with the BABS. I am now doing about 50/40 damage, so I was reluctant to use the Nath when it was given to me, but I have to say it is good, especially for training. My 2hs is in the high 70s skill level now, so I miss far too much for my liking. The Nath eliminates some of that with the increased strike amount. Although I only hit mid 30s with this, I hit more often, so it is good. Hitting 35/30 is nice, but I will probably stick to BABS once I get the skill maxxed out.

You won,t find a 2hs with a lower delay than this, This sword absolutely rocks for Pallies, IMHO, I equipped my newbie pally with this and at level 12 it consistantly hits for 28-29, I am anxious to see what it'll go to after the damage cap comes off at level 20, I recommend this weapon to anyone that likes to use 1hs but keep their 2hs maxed, can't beat the delay.

I'm using the BABS on my 27 warrior in FM. So far I'm averaging, per hit, about 35 points (crit. for over 100 only once lots of 50-70's). If you're not the main tank you can do some serious damage with it, obviously. I've learned that at the giant fort hitting these guys, and maintaining agro, with the BABS can be a serious undertaking.
I don't have any xp with the greatsword but for the dmg/dly and what MY main job in a fight is...the BABS is DEFINATELY worth it.
BTW- I paid 200pp for the BABS, if anybody cares on brell server.

I'm a 31 war and my buddy who is quitting EQ gave me a Nath and a Wurmy, should I use the Nath only or try to find a good secondary weapon and use the Wurmy? (by the way both my 1hs and 2hs skills are 150ish)

Use the Wurmy and find a secondary weapon, Duel Wield is almost always better then 2hs, in a warriors case it always is.

I was a lucky guy i guess i got mine for free as lvl 2 paladin from fellow pallys because I LoH them as they were taking out guards. I was just RP but they were so impressed they gave me the sword and a full set of bronze. the bronze ive givin to other pallys but my nathsayer I cannot find its equal just yet.

I messed around with 1hs, and got up to 75 with it but truth to tell I'm an old fashioned oriental who prefers having a weapon that I can swing with two hands, and baby, this is the one!
Thanks to Shindawa, a former ranger of my guild, now deleted, I have the PERFECT weapon to greedily gain lvl!
Sell your kids, your parents, your better half to get this sword if you're a serious 2hs expert. I have gained mastery with this weapon at 121 and I can't sing it's praises enough!

I played through beta and till about the middle of 2000 before I quit for a time and I recently started playing again because my wife likes to.
My ranger (13th lvl and twink as he might be) started out with this because my wife off-loaded a bunch of items her bard had stored away but couldn't use. It was nice wandering around greater fay decimating bats and things by doing 20 or 21 points of damage a shot. As soon as he hit 10 that jumped up to 28-29 on a regular basis. Needless to say it has been a quick trip to 13 even though I stop to practice and keep my skills as maxed as I can.
The delay to damage ratio on this thing is a lot better than most 1hs and its a darn low delay at least for a 2hs. I keep practicing with my other weapons but whenever I want to dish out some serious $#!? I pull this baby out. As of yet I do not have any really really good 1hs weapons but I probably will by the time he hits 17.

I had this awesome weapon at 17 (dont remember how i got it) till 35. i have to say this has been my favorite weapon and im regretting the fact that i sold it. i was doing damage in the high 70's with this thing and when i was hasted the animation couldnt keep up with it hehe. this is an all around awesome sword and for ne one who can afford it i say get it. i cant speak for ne other class but if u r a paladin u dont have to worry about the weight, u can just invigorate yourself.

delay isn't the only thing that matters.. if one guy has a 20dmg 30dly, and the other has a 35dmg 40dly.. who do you think is going to be doing more damage? ratio is all that matters, it all evens out in the end

This is an awesome sword. DWF PAL with only 120str in lvl 30. And was slapping around gnolls in Paw for mid to high 50's a slice. In every group I've been in, I've become the main tank b/c of the damage dealt in time. a 17dmg weap with only a 3sec dly is awesome. And adding the 10 str makes it even better. Once I get up in lvl's and get my Soulfire, I will sell this sword.

Posted: Jan 23 2002 at 1:33 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) i for one will choose the nathsar before any other weapon, delay means everything in this game and for a 2hander this is the fastest delay weapon i have seen for a while and till i get something with same delay but more damage i wont change my nathsar. and BLADE OF XALGOZ sucks *** 40 delay is alot of time man thats pretty slow

i ended up selling talons and buying sporali haste gloves.this sword with haste is amazing it breaks up casters spells and everything even with 2hs i would definetly suggest anyone with the chance to get one do so especially if you are working on getting 2hs skill better

i gave up a wurmslayer for this and stormfeather talons i only did this cus i am a 28 pali with 75 skill in 2hs and this is maybe the fastest one i can find now ill sell the talons for the 2k i gave for the wurmslayer and get another so i may end up getting this free i had to log about 10 minutes after getting it but cant wait to get to really break it in
This sword is a great training weapon. With the latest patch and the 2H damage upgrade its finally an alternativ to dual wield. On Bertoxx this baby sells for about 400pp in EC and with its low delay you should be able to get your skill up pretty quick and then switch to one of those high damge dealers.
