drop rate on spider fur has changed , after 5 hours of constant killing in lower kobolds i saw 0 yes 0 pieces of spider fur

This is a rather common drop off of the kobalds in Velks. Most of us who hunt there with any frequency have spider fur coming out of our ears. If I duo a session with a DC chanter in UD for a couple hours, I will walk out with 4-5 different spider fur items. They are all passed off to my level 11 druidic sister. Once I have 20-30 items, I wander the foot hills of Everfrost and BB passing out Spider fur to the nakeed barbarians (the newly created players) to help keep them warm.
The price on Spider fur items (neck, cloak, and belt) have all plumeted to the 100pp level. Personally, I find it more valuable to give the stuff away than to fill up my bank with "low value items" -- give me more room to store all those unfinished quest items please :-)
If buying these on the drinal server one should not pay more than 200pp.

yep only around 50pp and sometime for free on talon sek.

Current going rate on Brell is 700pp or so. Decent price on a nice item I'd say.

Is that why you entered 700 pp about 100 times in the pricing? Think that will up the offers? Reported bad price and hope they are removed before you sell it.

vergolinX is absoluetely correct straw spun is max 50pp on terris thule now like 35pp for it. This belt is prob only worth about 250 to 400 on terris considering that everything on our server is about 1/3 the price of the pc's listed by this site.

the reason for the price is where it drops and its weight for a monk this is such a great belt

My group got one in the Village the other day off
a Kobold (may have been a champion) was lucky enough to win this on group roll. There is no comparrison to a straw spun belt except both AC 10. The +5 Dex and +5agi and 40 hps sure help and the 0.0 wt even for non monk is a big help over that Straw Spun Belt , for Monks it is great belt if they have another type of haste item like one of the haste cloaks. A fair price would be 1k in my opinion that is what I will ask on Veeshan.

Just a quick question ... I see post's like this one on this board all the time ... does the stats, picture, rarity, race/class used by, mob that drops and location of drop... level to use, effect, level to use effect and generally about everything static about the item not show up at the top of every page on every thread for everyone else like it does for me?
often, something will get posted with a screenshot, but without any other information. So this could have been posted when the information wasn't there.
Then again, it's also possible there's a lot of idiots reading these boards.

Have the old ones been upgraded also or are only the belts dropping after the patch upgraded? I have one and have not even noticed a change, I'll check it out next time I log on. Very nice upgrade, hope mine changed with the patch.

People keep offering to give me a pre-nerf spider fur belt for my FBSS, and get all pissed when I say no. Are these really that good?

I dont use haste items as a 53 warrior i worrie about ac so yes this belt is nice but if you were smart you would sell fbss for what its worth on your server than buy spider fur because you might have cash left over

just an fbss would increase your damage output by 21%. 10ac and 40hp is NOTHING compared to that!
in addition, haste will help you maintain aggro. more swings = more aggro. that's why you, as a warrior, need faster (and/or proccing) weapons, because you don't have spells to get aggro asap, like hybrids do. example: when i use a wurmy, i have no trouble leaving aggro to the main tank, but i need to time my snares better when using my lammy - even though they do equivalent damage through the mid40s.
we know who's riding the short bus, so let's put it this way: the faster you do damage, the less damage you have to take, because the mobs aren't alive to get in those hits. the damage reduction due to haste is hard to calculate because of variance among groups, but toe-to-toe with a mob, you will take 17% less damage on average per fight. you would get this result duoing with a non-nuking cleric.
is 10ac going to reduce damage by 17%? no. never. not a chance. now go buy yourself a haste item before i smack you up the head >=/.

Actually, one can get the best of both worlds. It's possible to get the haste of the FBSS as well as the AC and stats of this belt. The answer lies with the spiders in the same zone this belt is found in.

One of their drops is the Silver Chitin Hand Wraps (SCHW for short) - gloves with 10 AC, some stats, and haste comparable to the FBSS! If you have a five-figure bank account, you can buy one of these - the going price seems to be in the 5K-7K range.

no, dont do that. there just jelious :P and if you are considering it, your crazy. i have rolled on about 8 fbss's, and still none. camped it from about lvl40 to 44, and make sure to go back there. cant wait to get it.

While looking for potetial supplies in Thurgadin yesterday I noted a vendor with a belt. Imagine my surprise when it turned out to be one of these for 6 silver pieces. Needless to say I bought it. I'd rather be lucky than good anyday.

If I can recall correctly, it drops off the Kobalds in Velks. My Guild were at the tents numerous times, and it dropped quite a few times. Named and unnamed both dropped em.
