Had one to drop tonight near the Observer, won the roll and had my choice of this or a Fancy Velvet Mantle, Took the mantle since i didnt have one. almost wished i had chosen this ,, But Eh )

Actually this appears to be a random drop. I have seen serveral drop in different location including just as I zoned into Chardok and watched an enchanter solo it with the help of another sarnak.

This would be an amazing off-hand warrior weapon. Just to provoke some newbie into argueing with me, I will say this is a far better off-hander for a warrior than a Jade Mace.

In all honestly I probably won't ever remember I posted this or care, but if I do venture back and some moron argues this (and I know someone inevitably will), I'll explain why :P

I would have to agree with you in regards to being a better off hand weapon then a Jade Mace. Here is why. The JM has a lower dly but the dmg ratio is not as good and because you dont get a Dmg bonus with your off hand weapon you would actualy have a higher dmg output with this in your off hand then you would with the JM. Now add the fact that this weapon has MR+10, DEX+10, AC+3 it becomes a no brainer IMO. Some could argue taunt, but with the added DEX and a Low dly main hand weapon with a proc you could not only out dmg the JM you will out taunt it too =)

hehe this would be a good offhand weapon for ANY class that could use it, and some classes or level ranges may even think of it as a good primary hand weapon.

It certainly is a nice offhand weapon but I would not give it to a Warrior personally. It's a little slow to taunt consistantly (a good thing for a Ranger or Rogue but less so for a Warrior). Heck, don't get me wrong, a Warrior would do well with it but it pairs incredibly with a Ragebringer (same delay which helps aggro managment in my book) for the Rogue who can get his mitts on it.

Sure, 10SvM is nothing to sneer at and the bonus AC is nice. I'd debate the value of dex but that is another issue entirely. At any rate, I'd award this to a Rogue first, a Ranger second and a Warrior third. That is, if I ever saw it drop. The Prince hasn't offered us one yet.

this and the 20+dex of the glowing black sword ,which both have good damage make a great set of weapons for bards. I am Xaey on the Inno server if you wish to sell one of these
