Don't know if there's any video of this zone. Did a dungeon crawl here. Most of the mobs near the entrance were light blue to lvl 65 then get progressively higher in level the deeper in the dungeon. Many undead mobs so possibly great for necromancers to charm in. I think this zone opens during LDoN on TLPs. You get to it via a lever near the herbalist & overseer/underboss camps in main Chardok. Can drop down off the bridge and run through a water fall to get to it quick. Expect most pulls to be 2-3 unless you can split or care to do so. https://youtu.be/9MuaIDqgi1Q

The "a leprous chokidai" that needs to be captured for the early stages of the Ranger Epic (1.5) spawns very close to the zone in. If you are lucky enough to have mobs that don't see invis along the short path there, you can pull it without a single add.

From the zone room, go right. At the next intersection you go right. There is a pen of domesticated chokidai there. Some can see invis, it's a crapshoot what you get. Among those spawn points toward the side of the zone in is where my "a leprous chokidai" spawned. I ensnared it (immediately hitting sneak hide to avoid adds while casting) and then using innate camo ran back to the zone in where my crew was waiting. It came down the hall all alone, either due to lucky pathing or probably because nobody nearby really wanted a leper hanging near them.

this is an awesome solo zone for me at lvl 69 shaman. I can solo here easily and although you really dont see the xp bar move much after each kill it does move after 2 or so . It doesnt sound like a lot but try solo in any other zone like GE or BoT and you will see the difference. The mobs hit for up to 350 but thats rare and they dont have mega hps so they die really fast compared to other zones , they dont run so no need to snare or root and as long as you malaise thew mobs prior to casting a slow they are cake, I regularly handle 3 to 4 mobs on me at one time slowed. also note that the mobs have really small aggro ranges which means single pulls are a piece of cake. The trouble with getting here can be handled in 1 of 2 ways you can run here as is or you can build up chardok xp in frontier mountains in the goblin cave only all other goblins are not on di'zok faction and are lvl 30ish so kills are fast. Go to nurga or droga if you want some lt blue"Nurga" or dk blue "Droga" xp will take forever but its fun and you will get some neat gear for lower level toons there. The way to run here is to just go to the first door in the zone as though you were going to the king and queens palace, keep following the path after you go through the door, mixed live and undead mean that invis is worthless so you have to run and not stop for anything have resists up too since the mobs will try to root you dot you snare you and all that, then after you cross the second bridge you will come to bridge number 3 dont go to the bridge just jump off of the ledge and make sure you are levved or you will get the 20k damage message follow the left wall around running for dear life of course go through the waterfall and make an immediate left after the waterfall i mean an immediate left too, there is a switch there in a cubby and if you run out of the waterfall too far you will miss it, click the switch and tada you are now entering the halls of betrayal. Personally I like the faction way better but i have run my lvl 58 cleric here and he is KoS chardok faction so it can be done either way. If you run here without faction work the advantage is that once inside you will get positive chardok faction. To leave here running click the big circular thing at the zone in and once back in chardok swim up the waterfall with eb on and go through the tunnel and then up again this will put you up at that bridge area you jumped off of to get to HoB now run run run to the zone out :-)

One of the new hotspots is Chardok B. XP is super good I was getting a minimum of 1.2% per dark blue kill at lvl 54. That is better than I have seen when solo in POJ or POI.

Only problem is that it is hard to find the zone in for ChardokB. Allakhazam & Eqatlas don't have didly. I did come across a necro epic walkthrough home.comcast.net/~drexxell/eq/necroepic.html with a good map to the Herbalist. Check out the map once at the Herbalist hut, have levitate on & run across the water through a water fall to the little square notch on the west side of the water. There is a lever on the wall, click on it & your in. The zone is pretty safe with a couple mobs right out side of the little room.

Thanks to who ever made the web page.

Happy xp'ing

Considering several of the new VP's quests has parts from this zone. It would make me think that they eathier will move npc drops out of the zone if they ever close it down, or just stop those quests (that there is quite a few of) that had parts in this zone. I think it's a safe bet that this zone will stay in. It has been here for over a year now...

The zone is still accessible as of last night (23 November); the entrance is just to the west of the herbalist hut. There's a "water tunnel" and on the north side of that tunnel is a small cubby with a lever - click the lever to enter ChardokB. Both sides of the zone are safe-spots as long as no one has zoned a train off recently. ;)

The entrance is just to the SOUTH WEST of the herbalist hut. If your standing in the hut look south over the ramp, run strait out. You are now on the shore on the west side of the lake. There is a small indent just past the ent. to the treasury, click on the lever and you will zone in.

Buggy Quests 2 out of 3 is bad :P
# Jul 25 2003 at 10:06 AM Rating: Decent
I've spent many an hour in ChardokB, collected enough for a whole group of gems. There are four staffs followed by four gems you need to get. All staffs drop, turn them in for a jewel bag, and all jewels (2,3 and 4 when identified) drop. However, no number ones ever. I have collaborated with the others that frequent the zone and #1 is never to be found. So I have to assume that it's a buggy quest, or that there is some trick. We've tried everything I could think of though. On a side note, the "sword" quest where you have to get four parts to a sword is also bugged. The left hilt, dulled blade and runed blade all drop, but never a right hilt. I have both my characters I duo every piece to the quests but jewel #1 and right hilt. Grrr bark bark Grrr yourself EQ!

I got the right sword hilt to drop yesterday in the domesticated chokidai pen near the entrance.
