nope.. the only difference is what they are recharged with
recharged with a storebought mana battery it is 5 charges and half capacity
recharge it with 2 Infused Dark Matter instead of a class 5 battery and it comes out as this, with 10 charges.

I finally have all the recipes entered for these, I think.
What's the duration of the invis, and more importantly is it fixed or randomly drops like the the spell?
From my finding you can recharge the full capacity by useing 2 infused dark matter and 1 class 5 mana battery. if you just use the class 5 mana battery you will get a half capacity back.You can make any half capacity device a full capacity again by use 2 infused dark matter and a class 5 mana battery.
Plainly put its not worth the hassle to make it full capacity, money or time wise since the infused dark matter is random rare drop and sells for over 1k plat.

Actually, you don't need the battery, just the two infused dark matter.
Hardly worth it..

Now I repetitioned last night and got the same answer "nothing would be done" and also a criticism of the GM who returned the half to a full one in the illustration below (as I cited it in support of my claim for reimbursement) "that should not have been done and whatever GM did so made a mistake." Nice, again. So I am back in the same position as original, once a full capacity is now a half capacity with no reversal or resolution pending.

Wow, I guess you were lucky. I tried to recharge mine as well and it was returned as a half-capacity version. So I petitioned as well. The pat answer I received was that "game lore could not be revealed" and that I should check other online resources to find a solution. Nice. I guess there is somewhat of a double-standard in GM responsiveness maybe individually or by server (I'm on Vazaelle). I guess I will try to re-petition and also report as a bug and maybe that will get me some satisfaction.

I petitioned this and a gm came and reimbursed the full capacity and said it was a bug, so I did a /bug report hopefully they fix this.

Just used a class 5 mana battery today to recharge my full one and it came back as a half capacity.

Doesn't seem worth it.
Anyone can recharge the 5 charge one with storebought batteries for a cost of 8 plat per use.
To make it a ten charge one, you need two of an uncommon drop, converted by someone silly enough to do about 600 combines in Abysmal. The drop sells for 100, making the cost per charge over twice as much on the ten.
Not worth it.

Looked it up, in my toolbox it lists:
Diamond
Small Lantern
Reflective Shard
Gnomish Bolts
Steel Wire
Haze Panther Eye
2 Infused Dark Matter
Full and Half can now be recharged with 2 Infused Dark Matter, OR a Type 5 Battery.

Anyone know what the differnce between the half capacity and full capacity devices are? Does one hold twice as many mana batteries or something?

Fairly obvious I would say..
half capacity = 5 charges
full capacity = 10 charge
half capacity = 5 charges
full capacity = 10 charge
