Actually the Zun that drops Shadowknight sword is like a straight melee mob, whereas you have to balance 4 mobs with this mob's hp from 100% every 10% of its hp or the fight goes to hell, but yes it's in the same zone :D

Not convinced by this sword, think SoE screwed up again. Not saying this is a bad sword, but its got far too few hps. I mean the shield from the snake before this zun and hopey gives you 100 more hps not including any modifiers, and 65 more ac, and Hopebringer is only still the yardstick because of the proc, there are better pally 1 handers if you dont need the proc (flanged prayer mace is marginally better statwise for example).

dont get me wrong this is a nice weapon and will give very nice slays and dps, but id probably rather get the shield and use hopebringer for most situations. SoE just dont seem able to produce 2 handers that balance with the 1handers and shield combos that are out there.

It's amazing that when a Paladin weapon has a few more damage or a little less delay that ShadowKnights consider themselves screwed.

ShadowKnights have offensive spells. Paladins have the almight stun. As DPS goes, ShadowKnights are generally better than Paladins, because all of their spells are geared toward offense.

A little better damage or a little less delay is just to even the playing field.

Quit whining.

Sks get another 73/37 sword from this same zone, off a mob equal in difficulty. Therefore anyone that whines=uninformed and jumping to conclusions that they wouldn't put a sk sword in to match it, nuff said.

First, 73dmg/37 delay is about as good a ratio as 68/33, considering the better damage bonus. Additionally, a slower weapon is nice for knights, as they can cast between swings without losing DPS.

Second, a 4 difference in delay is not going to improve "damage consistency"

Third, a 150 lifetap is not significantly worse than a 150 group heal. OK, the lifetap only heals the SK. However, it also adds to DPS. Personally, I think those balance very well. In most cases, the whole group won't be taking damage anyhow, and when they are, you cannot rely on a proc to keep them alive.

Personally, I would tend to say the SK weapon is slightly better, since it produces more DPS (proc damage, AND better damage bonus). But, realy, these weapons are real nicely balanced. Just be glad its not like comparing SK epic to Berserker epic.

These whiners are obviously clueless to what SK are capable of.

You guys have to remember that some items has to fit the class in RPG environment as well... That is what SoE is trying to do.

Also, you can whine about having your stats max, but you are forgetting, there are mobs out there that has the ability to reduce them during encounters.

screwed? somehow i seriously doubt that if a shadowknight got that weapon he would concider himself screwed.. the weapon stats are incredibly awsome no matter how much better a weapon is that his class cant use

Sadly you didnt click on the effect, if you had youd have realised it also increases your own hps by 150
