[Book Text | Comments ]
This item is a ground spawn.

Ground spawn on Xegony's Island.
Book Text:

Soon after the creation of the
elder gods by the Nameless,
while the gods were placing
their creations onto Norrath,
the elemental gods gathered to
make their own creation.
Unlike what the other gods
created on Norrath, Fennin Ro,
Tarew Marr, The Rathe Council,
and Xegony gathered for their
own creation. They combined
the very essence of their
beings and created an object
of infinite power, the
Quintessence of the Elements.
Once created the gods realized
the danger any wielder of it
would possess, so they locked
it away in the Rathe's vault.
Very soon after its creation,
the other gods learned what
had been created and most
watched in envy; however The
Warlord, Rallos Zek, saw great

potential power in the object.
He planned a raid on the
Plane of Earth, to assault the
Rathe's Vault to steal the
Quintessence. His assault
failed, but resulted in the
death of the Council and the
locking of mortals from the
Planes of Power. The four
elementals realized the danger
of allowing the Quintessence
to exists, and realized the
danger should any one of them
possess it in its entirety, so
they agreed to break it into
its elemental components.
Since then, each of the
elemental gods has protected
their piece of the
Quintessence, while the rest
of the Pantheon thought it
destroyed..

Face the facts
1 its no rent = junk
2 it tells of something 2 years after the fact so who needs it.
3 why would you bother with it less you wanted to leave a corpse hanging in pok every nite befor you logged so that you could hold on to it.
Sony has just put the Re back in retarded with dumb crap like this
time key?
# Aug 01 2004 at 2:30 AM Rating: Decent
it sounds like its telling about the Plane of Time key, which the 4 elemental gods have a piece of... if i'm wrong, please let me know :)

in essence, you are right. I really dont see the point of this book though. its NO RENT, making it what, a ridiculous effort at bringing us more LORE ?
Remove the NO RENT and at least this could go to some book collector's vault ... like mine.

The point of the book was that it provides the in game clue and lore on what you need to do to get into Time.

Not that it was hard to work out without the book Smiley: smile

I dont mind them adding in-game lore, as said above. But what gets me off, is that it's NO RENT.
It simply doesn't make any sense that some item lies around forgotten for ages in some sunken swamp temple, ( STILL READABLE! ) and then - behold - I can have it as long as I want ... as long as I dont log.

sorry, that doesnt make sense to me. And it isn't very RPG like either. Make it a normal book and we can chat about it again, until then this is, in my eyes, junk.

while the no rent flag is odd, the book is hardly junk.

From your original post I really dont see the point of this book though - it has a very specific reason for it's existence. The fact its no rent doesn't remove that reason.

I side with the other poster here, this is junk. Adding a book of how to get potime flag after two years is ridiculous. Anyone knows how to do that. And if you don't, you can look it up with three clicks in the internet.
Not facing reality is more like it.

Besides, I think Lord Av meant that NO RENT makes no sense on it . And I agree, it doesnt. This is junk.

the book has been in game for ages, it wasn't added 2 years after pop was release.

umm, someone has to solve the quest before it gets added to spoiler sites. This book provided some of the clues for those who did that; they couldn't just click 3 times on the net.

The No Rent is odd, no argument from me. still doesn't make this junk.
