This thing is stupid rare! Been killing all the dudes in that hallway for 2 weeks!

leveling up a new druid in poj, killed all the names many many times and it did drop, but for me it dropped off squid head guy, Nghala Sretch.

I have killed Dreamthief at least 117 times, and Kalliz and Talliz at least 50 times each, and never - ever, have I seen this accursed item drop. I'm even on the verge of thinking that it's stopped dropping altogether.
Surely, someone else has been able to loot one in place of my misfortune?

Sorry, don't remember the mobs name but it looked like one of those big Ice Giants in Everfrost. I think his name was Kalliz but I wouldn't swear to it. Anyways, just got this nice item today in the jail section behind the golem hallway.

I must have some seriously bad luck :(
I've killed all three of the above listed mobs, probably 40 times or more each, and no luck yet.
Another guy camping in the hallway for this drop claims that it dropped from the last prisoner on the left...that makes sense to me, perhaps more than the other prisoners dropping it, because that mob is a druid.
I'm going to add it to my rotation next time I am in there and see if I have better luck :)

I too hit the Dreamchief this week in POJ and this dropped the first time. I have read about it before so knew it had an ubber rare drop rate so I was well chuffed.

True story...got it on my first kill. Wanted to upgrade my wife's druid weapon before she had her epic.

Druids, is giving up the dot from our epic (something I use frequently) worth the mana savings of AE4?
Hot swap them. The epic DoT lasts a long time, so start the fight with epic equipped, cast the dot, swap this in, and cast all your spell dots. That way you get the benefit of both.
Fast way to do this is leave the falchion in an open inventory slot, and drag the slot to the hotkey bank. Do the same for the primary slot, so you can easily switch the two.

ok back when i posted last time i had been just camping dreamthief. got over 200 kills and nothing......
now im 65 and have better gear and such and me and a mage went down and cleared the whole basement for hours and still didnt get it. this is rediculous NOTHING DROPS THIS ON TALLON ZEK IT SEEMS

Gee. It took me 152 kills before I got it. And I was lucky??? BTW, I got mine off Kalliz, but I hear any mob in those cells can drop it.

This item also drops off of The Xel'Moar, seeing I got mine off of this foul beast. x.x It may be more common on her, but I cannot clarify this. ^^; She is found all the way at the end of the hall found in the door on the left when you are facing deeper in. Just thought I would make note of this. Enjoy. ^__^

well im on my 106th kill over the last couple of weeks..... i got a set of sleeves on my 40th kill and my 82nd so im due for another drop soon i guess. i really hate u guys that got it on the 5th drop

I got one of these of of Talliz last night. Killed Dreamtheif for it then while waiting for him to spawn, killed some other guys in the cells. So yes it still drops and now you know you have more chances to get it.

Does anyone know if this item is still dropping ?? An earlier post says it drops 30% of the time, yet I have killed 60+ times with no drop . Am I just having bad luck or has the item been taken out ??
its hard to get to the dream thief soloing because the mobs in the jail do flurry and rampage but if u can get past all that shes nto too far in and has abotu 10khp maybe MAX.

other than the effect, this kinda sucks. Nice ratio, but how many druids melee(other than porcupine) at higher levels? Damn verant, they should nerf this thing again and stick like 10 Wis to it. They might wanna make it necro usable too.

I quite understand your drooling over such an awesome blade to give to a naturelover, but keep in mind it drops 30% of the time, nothing more. It took 3 times for me to get, and my friend 4 times, guildmate <and im leader> actually got it first time, AWWRRGH

I got this drop two days ago and sad to say it is no longer a Secondary weapon but it is still a very very nice weapon.

Spawns in Jail area of POJ.
Spawns in the first cell on the right as you enter the Jail area.
Consistantly dark blue (but manageable) to 62 Ranger with 59 Cleric partner. You have to keep a minimum of 3 spawns clear to take him (the dreamthief himself, and the 2 jail-mob spawns closest to his cell, they will aggro if fighting him).
Dreamthief casts necro-type spells (boil blood, screaming terror, insideous retro..etc.) and IS undead.
The Jail area is the best exp i've seen outside of tier 2 planes.
As far as loot goes...I've killed him <edit:> 39 times (yes I'm keeping a tally) without dropping this falchion. I'm assuming the sword is VERY rare or doesn't drop anymore.
Note: on the 35th death he dropped the sleeves.

Ok, a lot of people need clarification on this. Just because it is a druid only item, that doesn't necessarily mean that the person with the item sent in the pic. A weapon is listed as primary and secondary to those who are able to dual wield, regardless of whether or not they can use it. Apparently, this item was NOT sent in by a druid, plain and simple.

Not true.
It only says primary and secondary if it fits in those slots. If it's primary only (like the pally and SK 1HS stuff) then it will only say primary. If it's Secondary only (like the Shardwurm Stinger) then it will only say secondary.
I have a rogue and an easy way to prove this is to make a lvl 1 monk, go to bazaar, look up Shardwurm Stinger. Then look up a Mace of the Shadowed Soul (as an example, tons more). You'll see what I mean...

Nonetheless, that's ONLY if the item is only meant for primary or secondary specifically. This item was not specified to be one or the other, but to have basic statistics influenced by whether or not it can be dual wielded. However, since Druids cannot dual wield, it is of no matter to them in the end anyway. I see what point you try to make, but it does not hold its ground about this item in particular. It is solely based on the classes capable of using it.

Actually Shezzalim is correct, and you are wrong.
An item which is tagged secondary equippable, will show that tag, even to someone who cannot equip it in secondary.
My druid uses a scimitar of the emerald dawn. It sasy its primary and secondary equippable. However, since druids cannot dual weild, I cannot equip it in his secondary slot.
On the other hand, my warrior CAN put it in secondary.
The label on an item doesn't change based on the user, except for the damage bonus, and the red stats on level restricted stuff.

Does this still drop? I've killed him close to 10 times with no drop. Jsut curious if it's been nerfed or I'm just unlucky.

I got this item the other night in the bazaar. When I equip it and cast a DoT, it doesn't say "Your Falchion of Flowing Water begins to glow". However, I have another item with the same focus effect I use when I have my epic equiped, that *does* glow when I cast a DoT. I know that focus effects don't stack, which is why I only have one of the items equiped at a time. I was wondering if anyone knew why one of the items glows and the other doesn't. \
