I assume that since it effects spells that last longer than 36 seconds or whatever it is, that it would apply to slow also. Could anyone confirm this for me before I purchase the item? Thanks much for any info provided.

I don't think that slow would be affected, because of #5 - "Limit: Effect(Hitpoints allowed)". I believe this means only DoTs are affected.

It does not stack with MP4 but it will continue to work on spells cast where AE4 has no effect.

I bought a sharp claw for the AE4 so I could benefit from the 25% mana reduction. The thing is when I right click the dots it still says they are costing me full mana. Is this a chance thing?

It says Minimum duration 30 seconds, so I guess that means it'll only work of spells that take 30+ secs to cast. Which is kinda crap. :(

No, Min Dur, not min cast. Effects only spells that last at least 30 seconds AKA 5 ticks

The mana cost wont reflect the focus savings on the right click of the spell icon. The way to confirm that the focus is kicking in is by looking for a text msg saying the so-and-so item flickers or glows .. etc .. all focus items work that way. Spell Haste on the other hand IS updated in the icon right click. Go figure.

The description does NOT tell you that this effect works for DoTs only and not DDs. Beware spending 30kpps on a Ceramic Gavel of Justice (as an example) only to find out your nukes are still costing you full mana... interestingly, it DID trigger on Atol's Shackles (AoE snare)

Actually, it does specify this. It says minimum duration 36 seconds meaning only spells that take 36 seconds or more to finish are affected. Hence, no nukes! Too bad though, that would be awesome!

Surely this should be "Spells lvl 65 and lower" (not 60 and lower, because Affliction Efficiency III already covers spells to 60)?

EDIT: This has been fixed as of the patch 2 weeks ago to be spells of lvl 65 and lower.

First: Necs have a 1k HP heal at lvl 65...

Second: We can't fear kite in high lvl zones...we have to agro kite like everyone else. 99% if not ALL mobs 55+ can NOT be feared. Of the lvl 52+ mobs that I have encountered, a lot can't be feared, like Gnarled Treants, etc...so agro kiting is the only way, can't tell ya how many pets we go through because of resists, etc...

Saying all that, I still love my pet...does it's jobe in DPS, and savin' my **** if I have resists and have to run and FD... Don't see why anyone would cry about our pets, they are not that bad indeed.

aye BST and MAG can't fear kite like necros and don't have uber dot's. Necros can fear kite, lifetap, reverse tap to pet, and all that.

Also a big reason BST and Mage get good pet heals is they don't have Fear ... also Necro's can use the reverse lifetaps <heal over time> on pet so is still good heal.

Sorry bud but the reasons BL's get such killer spells for their pets is cause....UMMM....like pure caster s with pets and SK's they are severly limited in nuke spells and other spells. The whole point of this class is a pet class is that is just that PET oriented. So stop crying. geeze you act like Necros and Mages got shfted not.
