Suggest: Alla really should list both the original enchanter recipe and the much later research one shown above in the header to increase information, and avoid any confusion.
You need 4 rubies not 5 and I didnt tried without the Coalesced Mana x3 but it didnt consume them. I had my vial and the 3 Coalesced in bags still

The listed recipe is for an alternate way of creating this item, with the Research skill. The spell "Purify Mana" will always use 4 rubies and 1 Poison Vial.
Players may purchase the 4 rubies required for 131 plat 2 gold 4 silver 9 copper (unsure of charisma when this was bought). Poison Vial costs a little over 1 plat or you can make the vial for just about 5 gold if you buy or have the needed items. This makes the cost just under 528 plat. Cost is a little less if you have hunted the rubies needed and only count the cost at what you could sell to a vendor.

Why is this listed as poisonmaking? It is made by an enchanter (level 49 I believe) casting a spell.
I know this post is 8 years later, but I suspect the answer is because it uses a poison vial.
Not technically poisonmaking, but we put it here to have the recipe show in the subcombines. Does not require any skill. The enchanter must cast the spell while holding all the ingredients.
you list the research recipe that any caster class can perform.
