Yes, the armor must be worn to use, and it is warrior only. THe Paladin version of this armor is Deepwater armor, which unfortunaly has a much less useful effect.

anyone know if a Vah Shir Warrior can use this? I have heard they can, but have not seen the item post-patches to see if Vah Shir has been added. Thanks.
I got mine tonight....wooot! One of our 60 warriors was wandering through KC and heard that VS was up. He sent out a call and the guild assembled in less than 15min. We took him out with 17 players. Our Chanters chain runed the MA and everyone else beat the snot out of him from behind. It took longer than was desirable but he still ended up dead. It took us two tries. I can tell you that he life taps for 1500, and he does it fast. The first time i died so fast my health bar was still mostly red when i was reloading. He droped Cobalt Greaves, wizzy epic staff and a pair of shissar gaunts <spelling?> uber int caster hand item. Well it worked for us, but we have some good chanters, and one hell of a good MA.

Hey all on the Fennin Ro server thesee are auctioned but i never have the money for it... But im expecting a big income of PP so anyone who has these legs give Critikal a /tell in game. Thanks!
Gawd, I see people trying to auction stuff, then you have the idiots telling the zone "No way I would pay 3k for an FBSS, man I would only pay 1k at most" Or something stupid like that..I like to call people like that stockblockers (hehe)
Saw someone on my server auction them once for 88K. I don't know if someone bought them, or he got so many tells saying it was overpriced, he had to log off. :) Heh.. anyway, I'd pay 30K for these, if I had the money that is.

Posted:Mar 16 2002 at 11:02 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) if people refuse to pay what others are asking... the price will go down... if you could get a bunch of friends together in (your servers sales capitol) you could negotiate prices very easily... when the person goes for a pc... or you do... your friends can give a lower pc... if the person demands more go for less or walk off...
Prices go down when supply increases, or demand decreases. Supply increases two ways: 1, the item gets farmed, and more enter the realms. The day or month after an item comes out, everyone wants one, and there are a few dozen to go around. Six months later, you have hundreds. Watch the price go down. Some better piece of equipment comes out, everyone sells their stuff when they get the new stuff, so even more of the item are now available (fewer players need them). Prices never go up unless the item changes. Items come out, and drop slowly in price. Trying to negotiate that with a couple friends saying "boo, that price is too high" just causes a seller to go to one of the thousand other buyers who want to pay for it. If the price is really too high, the seller wont get the price. If it is reasonable, someone will buy it.

There is something missing in this info that occurs in this game, a very important part of the EQ economy. More players= more mobs killed + more days played = plat pumped into the economy out of nowhere (like the Fed "injecting liquidity"). So your statement "Prices never go up unless the item changes. Items come out, and drop slowly in price. " is incorrect. More plat in circulation within the server will devalue each piece of plat over time, creating inflation and even hyper-inflation. Most EQ servers at this point have seen some crazy price increases due to this inflation. Remember when being a millionaire was a big deal? Now, as a general rule, you can't even retire if you don't have a million socked away. Remember 25 cent Cokes and 10 cent candybars? Inflation is constant, both in RL and in EQ's economy. Therefore, prices indeed DO go up on items... even if the items don't change in any fundamental way.
ps: yes, I know the original post is old, but the point is still valid.
Goes for around 35-40k on CT server, BP goes for 80-100k that i've seen. Much easier to get a group or two and to the plate house in kael and get champs breastplate.

Cobalt BP for 150K? Hahaha, on Xegony, I've seen the Cobalt BP go for 60K, tops. Greaves and Bracer for around 30k. You may have seen the BP auctioned for 150K, but no one, even the most desperate would pay that much for it. People can auction whatever they want for an item (like the guy trying to sell a PGT for 500pp a few nights ago, or someone trying to sell a Fungi for 135K). But that doesn't mean anyone will pay for it. :)
i think that you could just go get Ornate for the Same price that your willing to buy this junk at. yeah its nice to have invis...but i would rather have a better piece of gear if i am spending that much on it.
I recently went on a VS raid and was lucky enough to win these greaves. Cast time is around 8 seconds and the invisibility effect has a random rate. There has been times it lasted long and other times it was a shorter period of time. The graphics are just like crafted armor but a darker hue of blue/purple. The best aspect of these greaves is for travelling purposes. The only downside is that the lvl at which you can cast the invis effect is a time when many mobs can see invis..but regardless it has been a most incredible boost in my AC.
It's the same as caster's invis spell. That too is random duration, great fun :P Invis yourself, roll the dice and run through a dangerous area. Exciting!
I gather there's fixed-duration invis spells now,... at awfully high levels: so everything's afraid of you and wouldn't attack anyway, except the stuff your level, which can all see invis.
This thing pulled up in a search of invisibility items for an Iksar warrior and this pulled up. Has Verant gotten a soft streak for our lizard friends? Have they finally realized that we have been getting the shaft for the last 7 patches? Doubtful... If anyone has any information on if Iksar can wear this fine piece of armor I would love to know.

Posted:May 19 2001 at 7:38 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) im a level 6 warrior all i gotta say is i cant wait to get the full cobolt set... or most of it i think its pretty sweet, how most of this stuff has effects like these leggings +35 ac,+8 str,+8 sta,+8 dex WITH invisablity if you ask me that pretty sweet with like useing invisablity to hide from begging newbies, unless a nice wizard gave them see invisable... AND THESE ARE JUST THE LEGGINGS... so i cant wait to get these "cobolt" armor... they look pretty cool on dwarves you can look your self in the fastion tables so cross your fingers that i get these... it means alot to me
The effect is a right clickable effect, but you can't actually use it until you get level 50 (i think) It may be 46, I don't recall. I do know the gauntlets can't be right-clicked until 50.
All Kunark class-specific armor does not allow you to use the effects on them till you are 45+. So..this level 6 warrior...could not use his cobalt pants till he is 45. The invis that is, you can wear that at whatever level if you have em =p
anyone knows the cast time of invis ? it would greatly help in pog if the PoG's come after you and you can cast it fast enough to logout invis and come back without aggro.
If the raiding party cant handle Protectors I recomend everyone go get a few lvls or a few more people cause youll have to deal with em every 30 min at least 1 anyway. This isnt a flame Im just bringing something to your attention. Best way to do it is to have somone time the spawn wait for the first one then start a timer when it dies, then when its about to repop stop pulling. PoGs are usually childsplay as long as they dont catch you by surprise Further if your a warrior you dont hide or camp out, you stand fight and die if things are going bad at a raid Clerics are suppose to camp out your suppose to make sure they live long enough to. I know this doesnt have to Do with Cobalt greeves. More on the topic can somone preferably from Thollux, send in some Pricing Data on these There need to Be some second opinions.

Get a clue dumbass, 1. people don't sell Uber loot(It is against most guild's rules to sell Loot that takes 30+ people to get. if you do not intend to use the item you should allow someone that can use them have them) If you can not understand that concept then you don't ever deserve a chance to get them. 2.This webpage is not your personal Want ad. The posts here should be for information for others.
Umm, this is an open forum. Poeple can post whatever they want here. If you don't like it go take a valium and smooth out. I'd much rather read through a hundred people's want lists than one single flame from a stupid *** opinionated jerk like yourself.

I am not allowed to trade my Incarnadine BP away, fyi dropped by overking rare, price around 60k, and I think its damn right. If i get my berserker/warlord/Cobalt BP I wont sell it, I will give it to one of the lower level warriors (that means f ex the lvl 53 warrior in my guild with Tree weave) FOR FREE. if you have 2 54+ characters in different guilds on the same server something is wrong, You will get a problem sooner or later because some day these guilds want to take the same VS, the same Talendor, the same Trakanon and they will argue about that who gets what and you will be between the front lines

#Anonymous,
Posted:May 31 2001 at 9:12 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) HE was not stating that people do not sell these legs he was stating if you are in a guild and you won them on a role it is only fare to the guild that you give them to a lower lvl that can use them. to say that the item is your from winning a role on a GUILD raid then you are wrong. BTW if they ever do sell for 60k buy them... i have never seen them being sold... one beacuse the people on our server are loyal to there guilds and another is this item is so great that if you were raiding this without a guild only the warriors would take this item and then if you get warlord or somthing better than cobalt then you would probally pass them on to someone you know you would not just sell them.
