It was mentioned in one of the recent updates that the recipe for this was made easier. Would anyone happen to know the new recipe? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

the tribute. Sometimes you'll make very little back, sometimes all, or rarely even more..

PLEASE LEMME KNOW IF ANYTHING INACCURATE. SOME OF THE PRICES CP AND SP WERE ROUNDED OFF, IF YOU ARE ATTEMPTING THIS THEN A COUPLE OF CP AND SP SHOULDNT MATTER ANYWAY LOL.
The main PITA on these is alot of running around, especially if you hate all the sub-combines. Some like the celestial solvent can be found in the bazaar for cheaper than the effort of running around in PoK getting the scent and solvent, then running to what u hope is an open brew barrel. The sub-combines make this the main reason for the cost. Alot of inventory space is needed .

Well first I wanted to say sorry about the accidental post lOl
I wanted to say thank you very much for detailing out the prices. I was just wondering where you had 6 Celesital Essences if that should be 3 since you already have 3 of them included in the price of the Blessed Dust of Tunare. I know it's picky and thank you very much for detailing everything out :)
Dis GUD Guru! Tanks! Da only problem I see is dat da shiney green stone needs to be blessed by a drooid or cleric. Mees has to give up da plat fer dat. No one likes to do anyting fer free now a days. But dat okay. Me sells da weapon fer 5k in da baz. Dat makes me happy!
Well, My friend ogre. This druid DID do that for free...but now I see that your getting 5kpp for my generosity, I think at least a donation would be offered.

These sickles are one of the biggest pains in the A$$ to make that I have ever seen.
First, there are DOZENS of subcombines. You need to make 9 selestial essences. The 3 of those need to be turned into mistletoe temper. Three more into blessed dust of tunare. This requires 3 imbued emeralds.
You're up to 12 combines, and still no sickle.
Now you combine 1 each of celestial essence, mistletoe temper, and blessed dust of tunare, with a sheet of metal, your smithy hammer, and one of the following:
emerald, and curved blade mold - makes blessed sickle blade
Ruby, and hilt mold - makes blessed sickle hilt
sapphire, and pommel mold - makes blessed sickle pommel.
At this point, you are up to 15 combines, and have the 3 pieces needed for the final combine, assuming no failures.
Combine number 16, is the final sickle (assuming I'm not forgetting anything). My smith is at 219 skill, with a geerlok, and I have attempted about 100 of these, over the last 5 skillpoints. My success rate is about 1 in 4.
Everything I hear is that this rate rises to about 1 in 2, at 250 skill. What that means is, on average, for a 250 smith, 32 combines per single sickle success. Double that for those of us in the 210-230 range, so 64 combines for those skilling up on sickles.
My poor little Smith was foolish enough to attempt this at a Trivial level of 182 and failed miserably on the final combine
I made the first three parts with only one failure, but spent WAY too much on it all and WAY too much time to be so foolish! I am not too sure what "safe" Trivial level you should be at, but I would say be in the 230's with a Geerlok ... definitely NOT 181, lol
What I should have done was let a Master Smith do the final combine for me for a fee...
Nice little article on getting from 188 to 224...which might as well take 9 years at www.eqtraders.com http://pub147.ezboard.com/feqtraderscornersmithing.showMessage?topicID=7699.topic
It would seem to me from the picture that this weapon isn't magic and therefore unable to hit magic mobs. Currently I'm a level 35 Druid so I really don't melee anyway so not much of a concern for me except when I get a mob to turn to run and I whack on it as it runs away. Personally I'll take the +5 wis and +20 mana over my ice paw war claw and throw in another nuke after the mob turns. Just a little observation that could keep someone from trying to melee with it and it not work.
The Quest Gives you the 59 Druid Spell Protection of Cabbage and Xanthe's Earring of Nature. If you do not like the Earring of are not a druid hand it back to the lady that gives the quest for the Earring of Solstice. Almost all the same stats except it has FT1.
This item is one ninth of the Protection of the Cabbage Spell quest which was intended to be a one-shot quest according to designers. The Recipe can be found at www.eqtraders.com under the Quests Subsection.
