Tunare's Scouts

Well, I'm a 39 Ranger at the time and i was trying to do my Ice Forged Shackles quest. I had to speak to "Ami" next to the pirate camps. They're all rogues. Ive been killing Fenn Kaedrick in HK and getting 2 lvls a day, he is a rogue and enough killing i did, it said my faction with Tunare's Scouts couldnt possibly get any worse, lol. So Ami and those pirates as rogues didnt help me at all with the quest, i tried sneak, hide, ect. Doesnt work. Then i talk to this lvl 60 Ranger, He said the quest doesnt really need to be done, so i guess it doesnt really matter.
Even though my guild doesnt like me anymore, i can sneak behind them and still practice my skills. Some things just cant be done. Like sneaking to do quests, oh well again. Anyway, ive decided to kEaL on the quest, ill just buy a Thick Banded Belt or FBSS. One thing in mind, hunt snakes and scarabs and anything except orcs, it will DEFFINATLY help your fac with SoT.

The fact is people, that the orcs in lfay are the ones that need to be killed. Notic the name, deathfist orcs? They are different, and raise the faction with the SoT. Also, if you can do the pixie and rust dagger quests, you have to do a lot of them, not just a few, to get the faction needed. And by the way, Kelynn spawns where Rondo is, you have to ikill Rondo or kill or free the slave there to have him spawn.

Well i cant remember what deity i worshipped because it was the first real char i created. I started a Half Elf Rogue in kelethin and did the cape quest 3 times and the Blade quest 5 times i think.
Trouble is now im on the Firiona Vie server and decided to try a WE Rogue. But this Kelynn is now blacklisted in my book, i have seen him ONCE and managed to hand him the coin while still hidden -"thanks" was all i got basically. *sigh*

I just REALLY wonder why they keep telling us to "kill a few more orcs" i am Kindly Considered by the Warriors Guild in Kaladim and Kelethin for gods sake. Why dont we gain faction with the only guild that actually tells us to go kill orcs(maybe other Guilds say this also but i havnt heard it). Its VERY annoying. I wan to do the Blade Quest since its a pretty good weapon but it seems impossible to get any factio since Kelynn seems to pop only when im not there or is killed just before i arrive. I sat for HOURS in many different sessions and still cant get him. Irritating but i guess Pixies are getting the point of my dagger when i manage to locate that place in Lfey.

Hi there...my name is Kyiel, and I play on the Ayonae Ro Server. I'm a level 13, Agnostic, Wood Elf rogue, and due to a recent accident, I gained some slight faction problems. I was in the slavers' caves in CrushBone, and while Hailing Kelynn, a slaver attacked me...so naturally, I hit "a". Of course, Kelynn was still highlighted, so he (and all of the elven slaves) decided it was a good idea to attack me...so I decided it was a good idea to the CRAP out of there...quick! So...I came to this post and read all of it, and tried out a few things. I wasn't able to do the Cape Quest anymore...appearantly they have some kind of problem with you attacking them or something...heh. Anyway...I decided that I should backtrack and start doing some of the newbie quests. So...I made a ranger character and got it to level 2. Why? Rangers have track ability...and I know from personal experience that Pixies are one of the most difficult creatures to find...it's really annoying without some form of location ability. So I got several stacks of pixie dust and gave them to a friend to hold for me (or you could just drop them in some discreet location), and came back on as my rogue to trade in. KEEP IN MIND: When you turn in the pixie dusts, turn them in SIX PIECES OF PIXIE DUST AT A TIME. Do NOT turn in six STACKS of pixie dust...as far as faction goes, they really could care how much is in there...they go for how many pouches you turn in. So if you have six stacks of pixie dust, you'll be turning in 20 pouches of 6 pixie dust, rather than one pouch completely maxed out with it. Next, hang out in the slaver caves...you can get decent exp from the slavers in there, and gain other faction from any slaves that may or may not dislike you from the slavers' keys. Make sure you have the "Useless Coin" that Geeda gives you for the Scouts' Cape quest. As soon as you give it to Kelynn, go talk to Geeda again, turn in the letter that Kelynn gave you, then get another coin and do it again until Kelynn is gone. I've only been able to it twice, but maybe with a SoW I could do it three times...heh. And with the Cape quest, you get exp if you're around level 10, plus you get a pretty good Cape that you can sell. I haven't been able to do the Scouts' Blade quest due to faction problems (Heh...yeah. Faction with our guild REALLY sucks), but I look foreward to at least getting there. hehe its a good thing i found out about this npc... not only have i found something new to do in crushbone, but another way to **** off the local goody-goody's hehehehehehehe...

If you do not worship Tunare, you cannot gain faction with the SoT. Period. Their name says it all, and as rogues, they are much less forgiving that the other Kelethin guilds. In fact, it's pretty darn hard to raise your faction with them at all. This is my home guild, and my factions "couldn't possibly be better" with Faydark's Champions, Emerald Warriors, Soldiers of Tunare, and Stormguard (conversly, my picture is in the Neriak Post Office), but my faction with my OWN guild master conned only amiable. So, I was bored one day and killed enough pixies in lfay (got my skull earring while I was at it) for 3 stacks of dust. Turned them in, and my faction only went to warm. I have done the cape, dagger, leggings quests... SoT is just a tough crowd.

'ello...my name is Nazile, a half elf rogue from freeport. all i ever wanted was a scout cape, maybe some scout blade and a leggin' or two. but it seems i am forever cursed to walk the world without. it seems easy enough oon paper to raise yer faction doin all these easy little dagger quests and what not, and i am truely willing, but if i cannot get a quest at all, nothin, a little we don't have a beef with you but some more deead orcs wouldn't hurt. well a thousand or more dead orcs and i still haven't kilt enough and feel like i've wasted a month or more in the hunting. i've tried everything. i am now about to kiss the scouts goodbye and return to a coontinent where i can get some exp and a lot less heaart ache. i thought it would be great to do a quest, but it's acually a waste of me time and an extreme dissapointment. thanks fer the wasted life. and so much fer trying to enjoy roll playing.

i am a wood elf rogue, with tunare as my deity, i did the pixie and dagger quests a couple times (because i know that SoT faction is such a b*tch to raise) and then i ran into CB to camp kelynn and get my cape. mission accomplished. But then my friend, she is wood elf rogue with bristlebane faction. She did the dagger and pixie quests a few times, untill her hide/sneak got up high enough to successfully camp kelynn and when he finally does spawn (after about 2½ real time hours) she gives him the coin, and ack. The scouts of tunare have no quarrel with you.. yadda yadda. Thats extremely f'd up that her faction is high enough to recieve the quest item that activates kelynn, but he turns her down. needless to say we were really pissed. There is only 1 NPC in the game that raises faction with SoT that i know of, and that is Faldor Hendrys, the one involved with the silvermesh leggings. he's level 20 and thats a long time to wait to start raising faction with your OWN guild. I say that either 1) the newbie quests and/or the initial guild note pumps SoT faction more (because theres only sooo high that any one quest can ever get you, theres like a faction cap for newbie quests) or 2) they attach SoT faction onto the local orcs or the wood elf bandits.. etc. give us SOMETHING to poke in order to raise faction with our own home. PLEASE. i have always felt the SoT 'scouts' quests were some of the most interesting and readily available to low level quests in the game. Please let more of us experience them without so much headaches. Thank you!

How can you raise faction with the Scouts if your faction isn't high enough for them to offer you quests?

There's a guy in CrushBone whose death also lowers your faction with Scouts of Tunare. I believe he's somewhere in the Slaver caves or around there, he's a wood elf. I think his name starts with a K.

Well the problem is that the "faction thing" is broken with Tunare scouts.
You cant do the quest if you dont have good faction with them.
And hide/sneak doesnt work to do the quest (someone told me) but if you do hide/sneak you can practise your skills. Just face their backs =)

Im a Scout of Tunare (bristelbane) and i have done all the 5 quests iknow from them.
But today lvl 24 i cant do the Scouts blade or the Silvermesh leggings quests.
Have broken the faction somehow!?!?!
