Watching as I decided to try this little quest.
Rondo Dunfire was up, but no one next to him. Then immediately, an elven slave appears. Respawn time seems to be the same as orcs, whatever that may be.

This quest is so CUTE! Even though, my character is level 52, I am still going to do this quest because when I was a young'n I wondered what he was for. And where do you find the quest giver?

I really wish Sony would fix the bug that makes slaves aggro if they're close when the slavers attack someone. I was attacking an orc slaver when on my 15 paladin, and suddenly I have Kelynn trying to beat on me! After killing the slaver I had to zone to avoid bad faction from killing this little annoyance. And when I zoned back in he was still wandering back to the slavers' cave, buffing orcs as he went, the same way high elf slaves will heal slavers near them! (Bad ranger, for shame!)
Kelynn still spawns for the quest. Was no hassle. I used Hide/Sneak to get to where Rondo was with the elven slave and waited maybe respawns (not doing anything, just waiting there). Suddenly on the last one I needed to wait for up he popped. I backed against the wall so I was max distance between Slaver and myself and hailed Kelynn. Conned Ally to me (level 7 WE Rogue of Bristlebane) and gave me the message "What are you doing here?! Get out of here before you find yourself mining for these wretched beasts!"
I gave him the coin and he gave me an envelope called Crushbone Information and a message to give it to Geeda.
On my way there now. Nice little cape for a non-twinked rogue working on my Tunarean Scout newbie Armor. Yeah, I MEAN "non-twinked", not "I only gave him a few pieces of garbage armor...." non-twinked. :-)
I gave him the coin and he gave me an envelope called Crushbone Information and a message to give it to Geeda.

He's back after a little hiatus. I was doing my weekly payback to D'Vinn last nite, when this guy came after me (chuckles) near the zone. A newb had apparently trained him to the zone, then zoned and this poor sucker made a bad choice. I took a faction hit w/ Scouts of Tunare and/or Rogue guild (something like that). He dropped a mining pick.

Scouts of Tunare AND/OR Rogue Guild? The Scouts of Tunare IS the Rogue Guild in Kelethin. You took the hit because he is a scout who is posing as a slave to learn about the orcs:-)
it doesn't say he has any loot but in the pic it looks like he has an axe... i guess i'll just have to kill him and find out what it is

the elf by the wagon(the one by the tunnel that goes to the water) wants key #18, give him the key and this guy will spawn in place in a few seconds..

Kelynn also aggros me, a few weeks ago i started pull orcs to a 8-12 group. He began to attack my lv 17 rager, i did not want to kill him because i fear of bad faction. if he aggros on you, kill him and you will not get bad faction

ok guys he isnt a rare spawn he appears after the get an old used coin from Gendia or something and he is a quest NPC for the scouts cape he doesnt appear much because this quest is usually not worth it. By the time you can get past those slavers by 9 or so you can get a better cape

you guys are all idiots for killing him. its bad faction you twits and if you ever feel like going to kelethin for anything i wouldnt be planning on killing him. he is a quest npc u can camp him if you want, doesnt attack dwarfs on sigh, not mine atleast. and he isnt a rare spawn for crying out loud he is there all the time

dude your the idiot twit, when you kill him you get bad faction BUT NOT FOR THE WHOLE FRAKIN CITY! and he is a rare spanw becuse you have to find the key and give it to the slave to get him to spawn.

im sorry to tell you this but yes it does. killing any slaves (including the annoying high elf slaves that heal the orcs) gives you bad faction. he gives you bad factions witht the scouts of tunare (which are the elf rogues.

I've found this guy twice in the zone tunnel with my 17th lvl Wood Elf Ranger. Killed him once, because he was healing an Orc Slaver that I was fighting. The first time I saw him, I hailed him and all he said was "what are you doing here? get out of here! its not safe!" or something like that, so I ignored him and went on. The second time was when I killed him and all he dropped was the rusty mining pick. I forgot to check the faction change, but I don't plan on killing him again anyhow. heh

Hi, I'd just like to say that this guy is ULTRA rare, or he is spawned by some event in a different zone. (If someone starts the quest or something)
I've played like 10 characters from 5 to 15, as well as hung around there with higher level chars to farm belts/pads for ages, and I saw this guy for the very first time yesterday. Tried giving him keys, but obviously, since he's a quest NPC he didnt take them.
Anyway.... he spawns on the right side of the slaver-cave right where Rondo spawns usually.
He spawned after I released the prisoner there.
I think that he might be a rare spawn of prisoners.

Every single one of my characters has started on Faydwer, and when they get to lvl 7 i take them to CB. And I have never seen this guy. Where is he located???

this guy is a panzy, i killed him over and over at 9 and 10. he spawns in the slaver cave, with the three slavers... not in the middle either, he spawns where the lone slaver spawns, i have seen him about 20 times in 2 days, and HE attacks me every time, i dont mind killing him either, but i guess a dwarf has a bad faction with him, or he just doesnt like peeps killing the slavers, no clue. o-well, have fun, good luck.

I was in CB playing around by the wall and he came out of nowhere. Needless to say he killed me and I was lvl 16 Cleric. I started to battle him but then thought he may give me a bad faction (kinda like killing slaves), so started to make a run for the zone, but he killed me!! So he is there and does exist where exactly he spawns I dont know. BTW that was a week ago and a friend of mine was in CB last night and he showed up on him.

I gotta say... I came to CB at about 10 from Qeynos, stayed there til about 16, and I come back any time I'm in GFay, just to help anyone that needs it, kill crush/dvinn/warlord/prophet. Level 41 now, I've killed everything in CB at least once for 1 reason or another and I've never seen this fool. Not even the time I spent 10 hours camping Rondo to kill him over and over again for all the many deaths he caused me.
I'd like very much to do this quest as it's the only one I've not done in CB yet. Does he spawn after you talk to whatshername in the rogue guild?

This guy attacked me and I killed him but if the faction hit is bad for when I go into plane of growth or need it for something how can I get this faction up more? Or will I need to?

Ok, a few things. First off, he is there as part of a wood elf rogue quest pretending to be a slave to gather information about the orcs activities for Kelethin. So, it's a good idea if you don't kill him since a wood elf rogue needs him to get a pathetic excuse of a weapon known.
Second, he'll only aggro on you if the slavers make him attack. Otherwise, he won't bother you. Sorry, no idea as to his spawn rate.

This is simple and easy, Kelynn is a NPC rogue in Crushbone. He is being held captive by the orcs, he wont attack you if there are no other NPCs near him, except if you have bad faction with him of course. There were times when he was with Rondo Dunfire, and he aggroed me, along with slavers. Then there are times when he was all alone, I killed all the slavers and Rondo using harmony to get them apart. And there you have Kelynn all alone once that is done. Time consuming but if you really want to finish the quest, you have to find a way to get Kelynn all alone. By the way, his spawn time is rare.

i am a woood elf rogue and went curshbone and he aggroed on me and killed me at a lower lvl now explain as to why he attacked me and i am part of teh scouts of tunare.

You can get the Scout's Blade quest now - just go to the house across the platform from Scout's Guild
