Never got around to getting Sebilis key yet on Mangler and got tired of telling people I can't join a Seb group for lack of same. So I zoned into Trak's Teeth to kill a forager and a hunter. Put up track and the whole window is filled with mostly "a froglok hunter" as well as quite a few "a froglok forager." I inquire and find out that there were complaints they were spawing too slowly for all the players who needed to get into Sebilis after the Kunark expansion got added to Mangler. So in this new "Care Bear" gamer's reality we all live in now, DBG "upped" the spawn rate but apparently to ridiculous levels, especially as the demand has dropped precipitously and now nobody's really killing them. One would think this would be a good thing, except these annoying froggies have a habit of swarming and if you tag one, you quickly get 6-12 around you, and even as LB mobs, a dozen can do some serious damage, particularly as they hit fast and run fast. Plus, they all have bows so I suspect they're rangers. This means they ARE eager to die but not until they've hit you with a bunch of arrows!
This is especially annoying with foragers, since there seem to be fewer of those and you have to go looking a bit for them, picking them out of packs of hunters.
The trick, for the total noob, is to tag one, run to the zone and snare it right before zoning. The target will stay there, waiting for you to zone back in, while the other 6-12 you've picked up will amble away. This works assuming you don't get arrowed to death during the pause to cast snare.
PS Hmm... Magelo says both these toons are warriors. Maybe that's why they don't equip their bows while jumping around.
PPS Interestingly, the actual name in game is "a froglok hunter", not missing the "a" as shown here, probably for 20 years.
